the whole game is filled with terrible animation there is much wrong with things i've seen it's kind of hilarious hopefully the games stories turn out well.

I feel like there should be a middle ground between walking like a runway model, and looking like you've crapped yourself trying to get to a bathroom kind of walk.

I agree. Embrace the jank. Besides, the whole "downgrade" thing is nonsense, stuff like this will happen during development. The newer videos and screenshots look close enough to the initial reveal footage.

I think the weird looking character models make the downgrade appear worse? Idk, not really a big fan of the design of some of the new alien races and main cast of characters. That being said, I'll probably stick with the default character model. The character creator makes your created character stick out and look like one of the non important NPC's from the game. At least you can have fun with it and make some weird looking characters.

The Monster Factory episode on this game is going to be DELICIOUS.

I think that tech can only push you that far. In terms of body and facial animations there's barely any jump between this and last gen ME games.

Characters like her need some actual skin folds and lines on her face like a normal human being. She doesn't even have distinguishable eye lids. Her eyes look like flat planes. There is no depth to her eyes. She remains wide eyed all the time (as do other characters).

I'm glad some people can stomach this, but I can't. I'm playing through Horizon Zero Dawn and while it's not perfect, at least a lot of the characters themselves look convincingly human. The lip syncing is just hit and miss, but I can deal with that.
