omg the master sword is
so fucking weak

it's not supposed to replace all the other weapons forever, that would break the system.
in dungeons and against guardiands it's buffed, twice as strong and gets a huge increase in durability

Just finished the game this evening. Took me about 30 hours to complete the main quest. The ending was pretty weak compared to some of the past games in the series, but the journey was fantastic. Now with all of that out of the way, I'm going to just kick back, explore and find new shrines.

There's an NPC at a stable nearby which gives you a hint.

I should've guessed. Seperately, I was stuck for a long time figuring out how to get fire resistance, and never bothered to talk to all the people at the nearby stable. They really do help for each area!

Today I went the south costal route. As I was walking I saw a woman in love with the ancient ball, so I'll have to take some pics to make her happy. On my way I found lots of chests, and then went up to a shrine that had to be struck by lightning (always fun to hear Ges [?] playing the
zelda
music). Then as I was walking toward another pool filled with chests, suddenly the green dragon comes out. Just amazing (and more amazing to find another stable and maybe another village which some guy on a horse says he's going to but I don't see on the map
.

The Master Sword is very good when it's empowered. I argue there's nothing better, it's extremely durable too.

If you use it against normal mobs tho it'll deplete of energy in like 20 swings.

Master Sword is just so good in general. While its damage output without the presence of malice is just above average for a one-handed weapon, it's pretty durable, regenerates every 10 minutes, and just destroys a good percentage of monsters in a few swings.
Not to mention it can shoot beams at full health lol.

I've only been using it during boss fights. I know it can't break, but the game has been conditioning me to be weary of weapon wear. I can't help it!

Anyways...

All four dungeons complete... Now back to looking for more Shrines and doing side quests. I know it's time to go beat Ganon, but I don't want the game to end. :(

The mazes are broken with ritos gale ability. You can just fly ontop of them and jump down to the finish, I feel like there should be a roof

Mmm.. not the ones on the eastern shore and the southern border, the shrines are locked and you have to enter from below.

So I was at the (shrine mission spoilers)
Trial of Thunder shrine and had to do something extremely precise in order to get the chest on the pillar.

So I went through the shrine normally, up until you open the way to the goal. In order for me to get on top of the pillar where the treasure was, I tried gliding to it from the goal platform. I came up just a bit short. So then I used Magnesis to see if I can grab the chest with it, but no luck there. I noticed that the chest with the Rubber Armor was able to be grabbed, though.

Since I came up just shy of reaching the pillar, I thought that I could use the small height boost the other chest would give me to get over there. And after a few failed attempts (which required me to have to use the big metal cube as a stepping stone to get back up to the goal platform), I finally made it!

I thought I was being clever in solving it that way, but then I read in this thread that someone just used the big metal cube to knock the chest down from the pillar. That... didn't even cross my mind, even though I manipulated another chest in order to reach that one. I feel dumb now for going through all that trouble. :<

No way to put it other than this is so far my least favorite zelda game. I am just not liking it.

Me the whole game so far.

I don't know your experience, but absolutely not the case for me. There's shit absolutely everywhere, whether it's weapons, rupees, seeds, shrines, or just cool shit to see.

Man, I was all worried about the
Yiga Clan threatening Paya, but their leader turned out to be a joke. He'll be remembered all right. As a failure.

I've beaten all the Souls games and I'm not ashamed to admit that I lost more than a few times to (Desert Dungeon spoiler boss)
Thunderblight Ganon. Lock on wasn't doing it and combined with Links ragdoll and trying to get those pylons near him, (which also caused camera issues)
made the fight harder.

Only got one more left to go and then it's on to the big bad I guess. I'm still loving the hell out of this.

I can't believe they took Zelda in such a new direction. It paid off big time.

I can absolutely see different people will have dramatically different experience based on their play style and intelligence

I need to find Hetsu, I need to expand my weapon inventory, is there an NPC I can talk to that will point me in the right direction? I don't need to know exactly where he is....

Hunting for the star fragments to upgrade my armour is such a pain. I'm literally star gazing while waiting for a comet to come crashing down to the earth.

114 shrines complete. 5 more marked in my map. No idea where the last one is :/

I think my best bet is to just find a list by region and see which one I'm missing.

No NPC, but remember he said he was heading back to Korok Village.

Depending how far along you are, he is either at the stable near the road on the way to the Lost Woods or he is in Korok Village.

Wow, a few of the shrines in Hebra drove me nuts trying to find. Had to look up a small hint for one of them online, which is the first time I had to look up anything BotW-related in my 90 hours of play. Feels bad, man.

Whoa played the game for 90 hours and didn't know this was a thing. I still have only taken down 1 do me beast and done 58 shrines. Now I get to hunt for star pieces. 200 hrs here I come.

Just made it to this dungeon tonight. After this only the Golem dungeon left.

Incredibly simple.
An NPC at Dueling Peaks stable
can help you out.

I know he tells you when one is coming but it's totally random so I'm looking at a lot of bonfire spamming.

Though I do have a theory on how to trigger it.

I've had blood moons trigger almost instantly when a lot of lynels have been wiped on the map, I noticed this when I was getting the materials to 4 star my barbarian set

Gonna give that a shot tomorrow

Finally beat the main campaign at 55+ hours. The ending didn't leave as much of an impact as some other Zeldas, but the journey was fantastic.

I found and completed
60 shrines
. I had
17 hears and 2 full stamina bars
. I finished all of the Divine Beasts. Finished all the main campaign quests.

This was a damn fine game. Congratulations, Nintendo on the commercial and critical success of this latest Zelda. BotW deserves it.

I can't imagine it taking more than 10-15 minutes to make one appear with that approach. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I guess I could try just camping till noon -> asking him about the moon -> camping till noon -> asking again until he says BLOOD MOON TONIGHT FELLOW STALKER! and then go, but from my experience blood moons don't just trigger from sleeping a lot, they seem to trigger when the open world has been "emptied" enough. If that makes sense.

That makes sense. Probably so the game doesn't start having memory issues and become like the PS3 version of Skyrim after 20+ hours lol
