9S wanting to kill A2 was definitely misguided.

She didn't kill 2B for any reason other than to grant her dying wish.

It was a bit annoying to follow ,and he unlearns everything he knew about the machines to follow through with a pointless revenge plan.
He wanted to kill A2 because she killed 2B. He was already extremely pissed when he saw her die, he had no idea 2B requested it.

And he was already pissed at the machines for murdering all of YoRHa, remember he had no idea about the planned backdoor destruction of YoRHa at this point.

A2 is pretty much the only prominent character that seemed fine with being a loner, and even she began warming up to the machines and Pod 042.
"You're not so bad pod"

so,got all endings except Y,
but still have several questions

1- Why A2
abandoned yorha? she said the commander is the one betrayed yorha
what happened?
2- the cult
machine mission with pascal, why his head fell off? what actually happened?
3- ending E,
so everyone memory is back?

Well for this you have to watch the STAGE PLAY PREQUEL YorHa which details what happened.

Or you an read up on it in game. :P It's the terminals behind anemone.

1) While playing as A2 read the terminal behind Anemone
2) He killed himself, to become as God
3) A2/9S/2B are being restored by the pods. They held all of their data and instead of deleting it they are fixing them.

so my friend fucked up his sleep last night and stayed up til 2AM playing, but apparently his game glitched out during the pascal engels fight and he ended up on the opposite side facing backwards with the health bars staying on their OG sides. He couldnt hit engels so he just got beat to death.

So he quit there and went to bed. Mightve been a good thing. Finishing that section couldve been worse for his sleep

Later on reddit there were a lot of discussions regarding the quality of dubs and this post straight up tries to imply that whole English translation quality is shit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nier/comments/632l9h/my_thoughts_on_the_game_and_subtitles/ Too bad that no one really gives proper examples of such.

Do any of you who understand Japanese and play with English subs notice anything in translation that actually was off?
I played A with Japanese text and voice, and then kinda switched between English and Japanese for the rest. I thought it was pretty solid, actually.

this is some of the dumbest shit I've ever read

Got ending E last night while trying to get D. Dying over and over, I felt no frustration or anger. The messages on my screen kept cheering me on, telling me to keep going. I did. I refused help probably 20 times before I realized I couldn't do it alone. Seeing the others come to my aid, hearing the chorus come in, and realizing what we accomplished in unity was incredible. That feeling of inevitability and futility that had been looming over me the entire game was instantly replaced with hope and optimism. I gave up my data so that someone else out there could hopefully experience that. I can't wait to restart from scratch so I can 100% it.

Doesn't most YoRHa members don't have access to that wifi too? Seemed like something special to 9S(and those like him, if any!) with the way 2B thanked him about uploading her data to the bunker before their strategic suicide at the start.

I wondered about this too. You do that one mission where you look for the YoRHa unit that died during the first mission, but I was kind of confused with how they actually died since 2B and 9S technically "died" during that mission too.

a yorha unit dies if it hasnt backed up or no logner has connection to the bunker. The reason all the units get infected is because they all synced with the server. 2B takes longer because 9S cancelled her sync midway through when he noticed the glitch. 9S doesnt get infected at all until he attaches the infected arm in the tower.

though there is a few other potential ways 2B couldve been infected

God damn

Was watching a stream of someone going through route C for the first time, and since they did like every possible side quest they got a gut punch during the bunker escape

Basically if you did that present quest for 6O she will repeat corrupted version of that quests end dialogue as you kill her

Damnit, 6O was too pure for this cruel world

How to the E route credits work when you're offline? Is it just virtually impossible or did they put in something to help you out?

Brute force it I think. Was offline during my first attempt and Square Enix and Business Division VII were ruining me for 30 minutes.

I had to look up online that you should play it in online mode

The more I think about it, the more pissed off I get that the Bombcast spoiled this moment for people.

that theory about 2B was the one calling 9S by his nickname makes sense since 9S cares so god damn much about it and you see him freaking out when 2B mistakenly called him nines

and i still think the ending in scenario A was the best one especially after you learn about 2B in the other scenarios

Rather than poring through the last 84 pages to search for answers, I figure I'll just ask here:

Who actually is behind the whole YoRHa project? Who came up with the idea of the disposable Bunker, and who actually has the resources to consider all of those androids 100% expendable? From what I've seen, these mysterious perpetrators aren't touched upon in-game at all, aside from their existence being alluded to. I haven't 100%'d the game though, so maybe there's something I missed.

Is this a sequel hook? It just doesn't feel right for the game to end without addressing that obvious hole. It's just too important. Supposedly that data they gathered is going to be used to create a newer, even better generation of androids, too, which is just mind-boggling to me considering how insanely powerful they can get at level 99 with decent plug-in chips.

Ugh, I just want answers! They better give us a direct sequel, and not one that's set 9000 years into the future.

It's literally not even hinted at other that they exist :/

It really doesn't matter. Just some androids.

It's the same as the machines. They are self perpetuating. The actual mechanisms for that self perpetuation aren't detailed, but it's probable that the server on the moon and the core staff there are focused on maintaining the illusion. If you have staff that has access to information at a higher level than the commander, those are your illusionists, or perpetuators, if you will.

YoRHa's creators are basically just random Androids who needed to perpetuate the lie that humanity was alive to keep morale up against the Machines.

There's a YoRHa unit in the bunker that seems to be overseeing things. She says stuff like "They don't suspect a thing" and then freaks out when she realizes you're standing right there. But yeah, we don't really know much. There's definitely some sort of "android leadership" that's overseeing the android side of the war.

Right, but in the first mission 9S didn't get a chance to backup and the only thing that happened to him was forgetting about that mission after he and 2B blew themselves up. Shouldn't that dead YoRHa unit just not remember the mission and be back at the bunker?
