Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

I wish more than anything that Nintendo would release an ARMS multiplayer demo. Even if it was timed -- kind of like the testfire period for Splatoon 2 -- that would really get people talking.

ARMS is a game that you need to play for a few rounds before you understand how deep and complex (and fun) it can be. Nintendo would be wise to get this in the hands of potential buyers *before* it launches.

Expecting:
ARMS
Splatoon 2
Fire Emblem Warriors and Echoes
Zelda DLC
Indie Reel
Release Dates for Steep, Splatoon 2 and ARMS
One of the 2 big Ubisoft announcements

Keep Mario, Retro Studios, Xenoblade 2, Wii U ports, Other Ubisoft game, Pokémon, Fire Emblem and other surprises for E3.

I wouldn't mind if they waited a bit before VC announcement. Let indies breath a little, let people realize that eshop can bring great games that are not developed by Nintendo.

I wonder how much content ARMS will have. If boxing rounds are the whole game it might be below $60 MSRP, but I'd be curious how they would be able to implement a single player mode if they plan to do that.

As mentioned before, I feel like Pokémon (if Stars is an actual thing & it's indeed Switch-bound this year) will be a separate reveal ahead of E3, be it a Pokémon Direct or an out-of-the-blue reveal like OR/AS. I'd imagine that The Pokémon Company would want to dominate the headlines rather than sharing the spotlight for the initial reveal.

The best I'm expecting from a pre-E3 direct in terms of announcements is a new Kirby, or maybe Japanese third party announcements.

if VC does nothing new and is just late in a disappointing way then theres a chance

if they actually have something interesting to say itll be saved for e3

If I were to guess... infinitesimal.

Was looking forward to watching this Direct, but now I am dead instead. Thanks a lot.

I'd say close to zero. That's an E3 announcement imo.

I just want to buy ancient roms ton play on my Switch, is that too much to ask?!!

Guys keep expectations low, i don't think we'll get new games announcement or virtual console stuff, just some more Arms and Splatoon gameplay, characters reveals and i guess release date. For everything else, E3 is around the corner

Chances of Virtual Console being announced in this?

I would say pretty low, I think if it was going to be released now this wouldn't be billed as a mere "splatoon 2 and Arms" focused direct. Also I think virtual console is definitely the perfect kind of "and it's available right now!" announcement to make at E3 so I think that's when we'll hear about it. They need to give Switch indies their time to shine.

I think we'll hear about Virtual console in this direct. Old games aren't something to brag about at E3. Especially if they do a special Digital Event again.

Bayonetta 3 announce for Switch tomorrow, Nintendo to share more details in this Direct.

I hope

Isn't it a worldwide Direct though? And don't those always have some new announcement?

Maybe it'll be a new 3DS game announcement... *shudder*

Oh man, I hope they do this. I've seen a lot of folks on the fence about Arms, something like this would do wonders to raise interest in the game. Plus I want to try it out desperately before release :'D

I think they will also detail MK8D's launch tomorrow and possibly, likely, surely, probably, maybe but not really announce that those who already bought MK8 off the eShop will get a 50% discount.

Thanks Nintendo.

Outside of of the two games mentioned, not expecting anything but a few additional details on already announced games. Hopefully it's more than that, but it seems super unlikely.

3DS localizations are likely 50% of the Direct most likely. Miitopia? Pikmin? Ever Oasis?
Arms and Splatoon 2 are the stars.
