Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

Gonna spend the next two days praying that Stardew Valley gets bumped up to Spring.

Impossible, but I need it...

Was thinking of getting it for the PS4 with the CE coming out, but this would be the perfect game for the Switch so I'm holding out. Already have it on Steam.

Man, you're going off on a crazy Zelda tangent when I didn't even mention a Zelda game.
No, but if you say a few years, then that means it's getting a 2d Zelda which is the pattern they typically follow. I don't believe they will want to go back to the basics, when that engine can be just as great top down. If the switch hits half it's production run this fiscal year, 3ds is done.

Mainly Arms and Splatoon 2. Awaiting a megaton.

I know i´m setting myself up for disappointment but the hype is worth it. It´s better to be hype and be disappointed than to never have hyped.

Mainly means at least 1 new game announcement. I reckon Rocket League, Yooka Laylee release date and maybe a random announcement that no one saw coming.

I expect:

ARMS to get an early June release date, single player mode revealed and new characters.

Splatoon 2 to get a late July release date, single player mode revealed, new mp modes shown.

Pikmin 3ds and that grezzo game to get updates.

I hope:

New remaster for Switch coming in August, either Luigi's Mansion 2 or Kid Icarus please.

E3 smash teaser image with silhouettes of existing characters and maybe a new one or two.

If you put every game close to Zelda nothing would be worth 60$, or Zelda would have been sold for 120$ or so, luckily don't works like that.

Can't wait to know more about ARMS anyway.

Show off handheld mode for ARMS, Nintendo. No handheld mode, no buy. I've already thrown away my dock.

Betting on:
-New ARMS characters, moves, game modes, release date probably late May
-New Splatoon maps, clothing, weapons, hub tour, some insight on new single player, release date probably late June
-Several Switch indies release dates
- 50/50 chance they will show some new Switch titles
-more pikmin 3ds info
-more FE:Echoes info
-other minor 3ds titles to mention
50/50 chance they will show new 3ds games or newly announced localization's

I'm really hoping they also announce the release date for the Switch version of DQ11. (in tonight's DQ stream)

This idea that Zelda is some amazing one of a kind of value is hilarious.

The additional content in this ND will likely be 3DS-related. I don't think we're going to get a bunch of Switch news before E3, outside of the two games highlighted in this Direct.

3DS will live forever. It'll be the eternal system (no but really I appreciate the long life, love my 3DS).

Does ARMS have a campaign mode? I guess we'll find out.

I'm clinging to the hope that we get a unique story for each character. Some compelling story mode is needed for this to be a purchase for me. I'd want to dive in to that before looking to play online.

Rocket League would be a megaton that would get its own space rather than be in a direct focused on Nintendo titles.

Just in case some people don't know. You can play ARMS with one joy con. That's right you don't even need both joy cons. They have it where you could play the game with one joy con (it is a little more limited though).

They've already confirmed a number of times that you can you use button controls.

Also, I hope the dock comment is a joke, because that would be pretty stupid.

I was waiting for this to happen. Unless we're getting an ARMS-focused Direct later, I'm guessing this will finally give us a sense of the features this game has plus a relesae date. I'm expecting late May.

I don't know if we'll get a Splatoon 2 release date since I expect that to be in July/August and could get announced at E3. I do think we'll hear about the Splatfest and potentially hear about the next one.

As for 3DS, FE Echoes, BoxBoy, and maybe Pikmin or Ever Oasis would make sense for the NA Direct. FE Warriors is possible, but that feels like an E3 game.

Don't think there's a single Nintendo game more deserving of a "do-over" than that one.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a few more indie announcements since they could get overshadowed easily by the big publishers at E3 and these small directs are the perfect platform for them to reveal their games. Personally, I'd love to see Frozen Synapse 2 announced for Switch.

Online Gaming Direct ? the 2 games have a big impact on multiplayer, and Splatoon more on the Online Aspect, ARMS getting solid netcode is key too

Stop it people :-)

They say it's mainly Splatoon 2 and ARMS and GAF goes: Pokémon, smash, rocket league, Mario, and and and....

Relax 😂
In the past Nintendo has always opened and closed with a great teaser/hype reveal with the planned content in the middle. There will be some surprise, but I expect Nintendo to be dumb enough to have that surprise be a 3ds game.

I did the opposite, threw away the handheld once I got it. I've got a pro controller so I'm all good. I have had some sync issues though and also the hdmi doesn't seem to send the video signal to my tv. ah well, I'm sure Nintendo will release an update that addresses this.
