Let's go for a very easy example that worked: Guardians of the Galaxy.
Heck would go even easier and say The Force Awakens
Which had to tie in an old trilogy with a new set of characters and fight.

Thor 3 will hurt Justice League's legs no matter what.

And Justice League will probably have shit legs anyways on the count of the movie being... shit.

Prove me wrong Snyder.

Wait, why would Thor 3 affect JL's legs if it's out before? Wouldn't it be the other way around?

You don't actually believe this.

Nah I do when I can say I've enjoyed a couple snyder movies more than the stuff I've seen from whedon

Like I don't think the story will be anything to write home about. Usual alien invasion let's team up and beat them etc etc

But I think he's dope at superhero action. So I'm genuinely excited to see how he works with the flash in particular and the team interplay here

I don't think TFA is a good example of this. The world of Star Wars was very well established before then.

It'll hurt both, really. I imagine most people will choose to watch one or the other, not both.

Or I'm underestimating how nerdy the masses have become and maybe they're all down to watch two superhero movies within a month's span.

Am I the only one annoyed by what is shown so far of Flash in the DCEU? By that I mean how they portray his usage of the speed force. Every fucking time he uses it, everything around goes fuck all crazy and it's an annoying as fuck gimmick. Electrical shit goes haywire, sparks everywhere, etc. Talk about hitting people over the head with "omg look! Cool powers!" It's the definition of trying to be too cool for school. Fucking Snyder.

I'm hoping Justice League goes all in on Flash being awesome

Yeah that glimpse of him dodging and taking out that one bad guy was pretty damn cool. Plus I think ezra miller is great at being obnoxious yet entertaining.

That and Aquaman going full on rob zombie metal bro is what I'm hoping for here.

I personally am finding it difficult to reconcile this Flash with Ezra Miller's most prominent roles being emotionally disturbed teenagers (see Fantastic Beasts and We Need to Talk About Kevin).

If you see his interviews (and perks of being a wallflower) he is basically like how he is as Barry in real life

Pretty far gone from the emotionally disturbed Kevin (which was a dope performance btw. He has a lot of potential. Hopefully dude appears in more dramas in the future).

Apparently he was the only one who got to improvise in JL because of it mirroring his personality. I think I heard that but I may be mistaken.

For the longest time I thought Ezra Miller was that dude from the Disney Channel TV stuff like Witch Mountain and Brink so I got really mad that he put gravel on the road to trip that girl skater once

Homecoming will do great but the trailers have been so damn boring that people may be projecting that it will not make a splash in the box office

But come on..it's spiderman and iron man. Will be like at least 800 mil I think

I hope so. Especially with this opinions.

JL will be better than either avengers movie.

Could be. Doubt it, given the production team involved.

I actually find the visualization of Flash's power to be one of the more interesting aspects so far.

I personally am finding it difficult to reconcile this Flash with Ezra Miller's most prominent roles being emotionally disturbed teenagers (see Fantastic Beasts and We Need to Talk About Kevin).

Ezra Miller's Flash does not, to this point, have anything to do with Barry Allen from the comics.

But it's a movie, so it doesn't really have to.

Sure it's an interesting visualization the first time I saw it but then they use it every time he uses the speed force. I find it obnoxious.

I am with you so far. It looks cool, but also like they are ramping it up too much to be showy. But that is just me.

I really want Justice League to be good, but I have zero faith in them pulling it off. Of course, with expectations that low, they have nowhere to go but up.

I thought for sure GOTG2 would pass a billion, but to make another wild prediction, I think it, Thor Ragnarok, and Justice League are all landing close. Then Spider-Man HC, Logan, and Wonder Woman in that order.

Spider-Man always has potential to be huge but Sony (I assume they're handling marketing) is doing s lackluster job making it look exciting. Really hoping it ends up as a nice surprise. Tom Holland's Spidey was the second best part of Civil War after Black Panther.

I personally am finding it difficult to reconcile this Flash with Ezra Miller's most prominent roles being emotionally disturbed teenagers (see Fantastic Beasts and We Need to Talk About Kevin).

I had the opposite reaction when seeing We Need to Talk About Kevin. I first saw him this movie with Zoe Kravitz where he is this wacky high school newspaper writer (blanking on the title).

Also funny to see Ezra and Tilda together again in Trainwreck, under widely different circumstances.

Statistically speaking, you're probably not the only one. But there's a method to why there's an erratic quality to his powers and his suit is there to contain some of it. He's inexperienced and has an unstable connection to the speed force. The Flash TV show dealt with a similar arc.

Do you guys really think JL can't be better than Age of Ultron? Really?

REALLY?

I think it will likely be better than Age of Ultron.

That wasn't what was said though. To be clear, this is what was said:

JL will be better than either avengers movie.

Age of Ultron was better than Avengers 1

Bronson.

BRONSON.

I can't defend you anymore, breh.

DC waited too long to bring Flash to the big screen, and Fox beat them to the punch with Quicksilver. The lightning effects have always been used in comics to represent the speed force, and it helps to differentiate Flash and Quicksilver in film.

ok HANG ON I'll explain myself

- One shot is better (Age of Ultron's opening is fucking killer and doesn't get enough love at all)
- Cap gets treated better (still not Winter Soldier BAMF, but whatever, Whedon didn't fuck it up 100000% like in 1)
- Hulkbuster fight

Honestly, beyond the novelty of seeing the whole crew together for the first time ever, Avengers 1 doesn't stick with me that much anymore, especially since the one emotional tack in it (Coulson dying) was a SCAM

Another movie that Justice League will be worse than.

Let's not say things we can't take back.

I am curious to revisit the 1998 Avengers film to see if it is as terrible and disappointing as I remember it being when I saw it in theaters. The only part that I remember loving was Eddie Izzard's single line in it.

It's from the man who made Batman v Superman and unlike that movie, Age of Ultron is not widely regarded as a piece of crap.

So yes. :p

Only on GAF do you find people treating Age of Ultron like some sort of cinematic abortion while in the same sentence praising the pedigree of the DCEU.

I was watching the first two seasons of Agents of Shield as they aired. They spent a year building off the Winter Soldier Hydra reveal, and actually doing something that was interesting with the show after a terrible start to S1.Then Age of Ultron started and was like, "We're bored of Hydra, and who gives a shit about Agents of Shield. Avengers defeat them in 5 minutes". So much for small screen synergy!

trailer: "Scum of the Earth, come on!" Smash to title.
I am weak, I admit it, but I would totally dig that.

Also, the Homecoming RT + BO is going to be very entertaining, I imagine. I'm not just saying because I lowballed domestic at 175 or anything. Okay I am, but still.

hey man, I got my Bill Paxton fix out of that. Hail fucking Hydra.

(stopped watching when they decided to give Skye a supahpowah, because that's kind of where thing get boring for me)

With Snyder at the helm and fresh off the hot mess that is BVS?

I'd say chances aren't looking good. On the upside, it could hopefully be his last DC project which means things can only go up for the next JL movie and Batman & Superman's next appearance.
