Update: Made it through the Black/Zamasu arc, Trunks' back home and I wonder how they will up the ante for the next fight. It's ridiculous, but more fun than I expected.

I like how the writing actually isn't too bad, too. Characters aren't written like idiots, I appreciate that.

lol.
Freeza is totally coming back

New figures including Blue Goku, Blue Vegeta, Gohan, Golden Freeza (Angel), Kale and Jiren

Merchandise for a popular character? Who would have thought. I mean, this doesn't really give us any actual insight into the reason.
What is this listing from, and what kind of figures are they?

So I assume him being dead means he won't have issues maintaining his golden form, similarly to how Goku managed SSJ3 better being dead?
Didn't SSJ3 made him go back sooner than he was supposed since it waste the energy he had left, though he has like 40 minutes so maybe he wouldn't have to worry about that.

DB Super World Collectable Figure vol. 9. Not sure where it's from, saw it on 2ch.

You don't need to seal anyone. The mafuba could be useful because it's an easy way to forcibly move another person, i.e. get a ring out.

Problem is rishi suggested before you need to be a similar strength to the target to use it and not die, so anyone he could actually use it on would be so weak it wouldn't really matter anyway.

I knew nothing would top the original dub for this scene, yet I'm still a little disappointed. I like how it's a little shorter but even the dialogue here seems strange, maybe a bit unnatural.

Broly is the OG rainbow Saiyan

Been rocking the green for decades now

*Trunks isn't back home.

Well yeah, "home" home.

edit: Update, E71, eeeh, is it just gonna be time guy again? That's kinda boring.

edit edit: E72, bleh, Hit is such a bore.

triple edit: End of E72: kamisama thank you

Actually Goku had plenty of issues cause him using SSJ3 in the real world sped up his time limit due to consuming energy (whatever that means...).
Golden would probably have a similar effect unless Freeza managed to train in Hell or something, which is highly doubtful due to being stuck in the cocoon.

Not that it matters much though cause
he has plenty of time to condense 24 hours into 40+ minutes.

Yeah. It's not like the other time limits that only had an hour.

We now got the SSJ3 Scene for the Kai dub.

The green tint is really horrible here, so hopefully someone will finally do a fan edit, and color correct the whole set like that reinserted Yamamoto's OST fan project on the net.

This is so bad. I probably have some rose-tinted glasses shit going on but there's just barely any impact to it until right at the end. With the old dub you really felt like Goku was on the verge of destroying the world but this just feels so meh.

Well they cut down the scene and this isn't one of Sean's best screams. It sounds like he's struggling, but that could be on purpose.

But agree. This isn't as good as the original in any version. Although I think it will sound better with a better audio quality.

If they really wanted to cut the filler to be more accurate to the manga, it would have cut the whole 'destroying the world' part.

Time won't be an issue for anyone anyways, the Tournament of Power is held in a timeless void. Goku could also go nuts in SSJ3, but I doubt we're going to see it.

That is speculation, especially since time does matter since the tournament is on a time limit.

lol what. Time still passes for every character. It's not like a timeless void means infinite stamina or something.

Any idea when the next round of spoilers are? Just want to know when the actual tournament starts at this point

End of every week or every other week you cant expect at least a trickle. There are about 3-4 japanese magazines that list episode previews, so as they come out is when we get details

Haha as the episodes were coming out everyone hated gokus dumb mistakes

48 minutes, that's the most bizarre aspect of the whole arc to me. How does a 48 minute time limit manifest in this show, seeing as we've passed about 40 hours in the past few episodes.

But that was Toei's Bardock. Toriyama's Bardock is a weakling who couldn't be ranked as a mid-tier Saiyans and Toriyama even said in an interview once that it would be pointless to bring Bardock back since he would be so weak compared to everyone.

Lets be real, Toei writes at least 50% of Super. That actually lends credibility to my prediction

The main outline comes from Toriyama. Toei only fills in what happens between A and B. So they can't bring back Bardock unless Toriyama does it in his outline, unless it's specific to some breather episode.

Also, since Super has Jaco, that means it adapts "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" and in extension Dragon Ball Minus. So the Father of Goku isn't canon to Super.

Toriyama doesn't always make the best decisions.

That has nothing to do with Bardock coming back and as I said, since Super is based on his outline and has Jaco, it isn't going to be Toei's Bardock if we do see him.

Ha :) I can see that, but he's supposed to be a bit dumb. I'm talking more of those scenes with characters realizing (or wrongfully assuming) stuff or coming up with solutions the same time the viewer does. At least it was that way for me, heh.

I remember reading that Toei collects sales figures/fan feedback and gives it to Tori to draw inspiration from. Not saying Toei comes up with everything, but they give him suggestions to include in his outline

I'll try to find the source, but I can't right this second.

This person is in for a big surprise. Taken from the Yamcha thread.

Yeah, guess they weren't for some reason, even though it was explained even in the dub, that they weren't actually androids and are really cyborgs with alterations were organic at the cellular level since you know, they were meant to be absorbed by Cell.

well, SSJ1 goku beat broly so...

The way that movie was written, I feel like they had too much fun making Broly that powerful. Then realizing that they had to write a conclusion to the movie, they came up with that BS ending.

But yes, SSJ1 Goku technically did beat Broly with everyone's energy lol

This is my favourite Goku design:

jBZ4Maf.jpg

Blue gi.

Power pole.

Tail.

Adult.

Best Goku.

Too bad he only appears like that once (in a GT ED at that) and there's less than zero chance of that design ever coming back.

This ED is so sad considering the actual ending of the GT series... It's like an alternate epilogue where Goku finally comes back to his family and friends after everything he endured in the Baby and Shadow Dragon sagas, except it never happens ;_;

Broly wouldn't be able to take Super Perfect Cell let alone SSJ3.

I don't know about Super Perfect Cell, but regular Perfect Cell wouldn't have been able to manhandle Gohan at SSJ1 (even though we know that Gohan technically could have gone SSJ2) that badly.

Broly barely even tried against Gohan in Movie 10. Regular Perfect Cell would have had to have at least tried. Cell had to at least try to beat Goku during the Cell games.
