Guess that depends on how they market it and if they drop a 399 bomb at E3.

I really doubt they'll limit their supply of Scorpio units.
Maybe they'll have a limited edition 2TB white SKU, but the base version should be fairly easy to get.

Are MS gonna continue the Tier release for Scorpio? I haven't heard anything and it would be ashame if they did it again.

If Microsoft had a true WW release for Scorpio, would anyone even notice in Europe?

Doubt it. It'll be hard to get and why chance it? Pre-order day 1.

1) Bah there will be plenty of Xbox 360s they want to flood the market

2) You will definitely have to preorder a PS3, but the Nintendo Wii nah there will be plenty

3) NES Classic? Why would you have to preorder something like that?

I feel as though if you know your buying the hardware and you can preorder why wouldnt you?

Limited by design is a strategy. I don't think Microsoft will go for that strategy here.
But maybe they got inspired by Switch.

You should get the product because you want it. Not because you fear it will be sold out.

That... is an interesting argument. I can't disagree, but it's strange that you'd think people are actually going that route. Pre-orders usually coincide with wanting the product. The only time I've ever pre-ordered something I didn't want for fear of it selling out was with the interest of re-selling it to make some cash.

I mean i know you are clearly trolling this thread, but ill still respond. I will be preordering because i want it so bad i fear i wont get it the second its available.

One thing doesn't cancel the other.
You can pre-order because you want it as soon as possible, and you know you won't be able to get one if you don't.

I get that, but the wording of the post I replied to seemed to suggest something different. Regardless, this is a silly argument.

Better be safe than sorry.
You can always cancel pre-orders.
It's especially easy on Amazon. Just some clicks.

I will instantly preorder, too
I just need to knwo who will get my xbox one S

It's rational discussion. In Europe most products will go through several different deals before release and of course a lot more after launch.

You'll might see some awesome bundles aimed for the holidays or Black Friday.

How is your shitposting still allowed?

Norwegian oil money.

You've obviously never bought a console on day 1 before. The Xbox 360, switch and wii were all a pain to get if you missed getting them really early.

Edit: in the uk

No, I've never bought a console day 1 in the UK.

Random numbers and letters in one of the teasers

101317

Jez‏ on August release rumors:

The rumors of Scorpio hitting in August or even earlier are false. Launch games require cert against October 2017 XDK.

+

Shadow of War releasing on October 10th.

Are we looking at a October 13th release date?

i saw the thing about the numbers earlier, in a youtube video. People assumed the 6>4 is in terms of teraflops being the most obvious.

That long string of numbers ends in 101317, maybe the release date. Then someone found that if you put that entire string into google, the first result is some vintage ad for building a robot. And the title is something like "Build this robot for under $400". I did not test this myself tho.

Edit: impossible to check now cus google is flooded with articles about the video.

I own all consoles and love them all and I buy them all day 1. I have seen systems that are expected to be plentiful go missing and systems on the hype train crash and burn. I have no interests in waiting for a bundle to save 50 bucks

Holy fuck!!? Your kidding?! You guys never fail to amaze me with your detective skills.
So $399 basically confirmed via subliminal numerology?

Yeah... I just tried that and found the same thing. Google is now flooded with Scorpio articles under that search. That'd be cool as hell if that tease was real! $399 is exactly the price Scorpio needs to launch at.

Build this yourself. Design labs??

I could absolutely see Xbox One S getting Xbox Design Lab support. Not sure if I could see Scorpio getting that support though. Maybe they'd give some options for the "launch" edition.

Yeah.

O boy either everyone at Microsoft is loving this or Phil is sitting at his desk staring at the "Staring at $449.99" image they were going to put up at e3 in sadness

Too many people tried it already. It's flooded with the image from the video. I tried Bing and same thing.

Wow o.O

As someone who works in marketing I find all of these hidden messages and clues amazing, I would imagine the agency behind this is Razorfish, can anyone confirm?

When do they start prepping the stage?

I feel like this is the time where pictures start coming out of the convention being set up.
