Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

As a conference, that was fun, but I really wanted MS to give reasons to buy an XBox One, but the only things not coming to PS4 are:

Forza 7
State of Decay 2
Lucky's Tale
Sea of Thieves
Crackdown 3
Ori
Cuphead

And that's it

Okay, so I thought this was a pretty damn good conference for the most part, but when it comes to actual xbox games I'm a bit disappointed. We really didn't get a 1st party surprise.

And ending on Anthem, as gorgeous as it is, is a bit of a bummer to me.

Surprised at how bad this was. Especially for pushing new hardware....

Literally just DBZ and Anthem for me...on PS4 Pro lol...

See you guys n gals tonight for Bethesda.

Solid 7/10 show.

Positives:

Not a lot of talking, still some, but not a ton.
Anthem showed well, maybe a bit too well that might make people cautious.
Super Lucky's Tale.
Lots of games in general.
Release dates for long awaited titles.
OG Xbox BC.
Forza 7 is gorgeous.
Ori 2.

Negatives:

$499 price for Xbox One X
Not a whole lot of TRUE exclusive announcements. There was only a few.
Crackdown 3 & State of Decay showed very poorly.

Xbox One X is honestly a third party box based on this showing.

Anthem was so much like Destiny even the gameplay reveal was similar to Destiny's. Except worse. At least Destiny showed us some combat after your buddies arrived. :P Graphically it looks pretty awesome but I got all I wanted out of these Destiny-type games two years ago.

The conference was a solid B. Game after game with little downtime. Just no real bombs were dropped.

Metro
Sea of Thieves
DBZ
Anthem

Day 1.

At that price, I'll upgrade my CPU/RAM.

That being said,

EA was a 5 to me.
Microsoft an 8.5. If I didn't have a PC, it was a bad XBOX showcase, so I'd drop it to a 7-7.5.

A lot less talk, a lot more games, huge variety and some pleasant surprises, nothing mind-boggling though.

It was a really good show but apart from Sea of Thieves and Ori, I'm not really interested in any of the other Xbox-only games. Metro was the highlight for me. Anthem's traversal looks impressive but I'm not really sold on the gameplay yet. I'm there at launch for that Life is Strange prequel too.

So this definitely confirms there is no way I am buying a Xbox One X. Too expensive and not a big enough deal. I'll continue playing on my PC, PS4 and Switch. Really glad that Microsoft releases almost everything on Windows now.

And Tacoma which is the one I'm bummed about not being able to play.

Really entertaining conference, great flow, some games I look forward to. But no first party announcement really hurts it. At least I had fun.

I think a point being ignored is that the gameplay* (*scripted/fake) they showed for many games was... boring. IMO Sea of Thieves, AssCreed, and Anthem were snoozefests. Then all of the launch exclusive indies didn't matter.

lol you're nuts. they did like 5 games back to back and then a few minutes of talking and then another 5 games back to back.........

There was a lot in the beginning. And there was quite a bit during actual demos and in between demos that just felt unnecessary. I could understand talking which served a purpose, but a lot of it just felt like filler.

Sluggish to start (and too long in length), but the conference found its groove around the time they showed that Dragonball game. From there on out, I thought the conference was pretty good. Metro was the highlight, hands down, and this conference had more variety than there's been in previous years. No megatons or mindblowing looking games, but solid all around. Still a little too much talking for my taste.

The Xbox One X price is a massive letdown though, even more so because I'm Canadian.

All in all, 6.5/10 conference. Not 2013 levels of terribad, but not the fantastic show I think MS needed at this point in time.

Dragonball
Ori
Super Lucky's Tale
Life is Strange
Cuphead

I want to play those. Much better showing than usual for MS imo. Oddly their best showing in a while gives me the least reason to buy an XBox though, lol.

There was definitely still quite a bit of fluff, but I think they noticeably took a page from Sony's playbook.
