Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

I'd give the show an 8. But I like those indie games they showed bar the Darwin Project.

No real reason to buy an XBox though, even if I didn't have a PC.

That's one thing I hope Sony improves on this year.

While I loved the format last year, more indie game talk would be great.

It's a 7/10 conference in my book. Good for Microsoft, but not really anything interesting to me at all.

Anthem was anti-interesting to me, since I'm not a big fan of the "scifi futures without aliens" trend we've been on for more than a decade or the Destiny knockoff vibes.

My problem with the conference had nothing to do with it's content.

I was not shown any reason to consider buying an Xbox console of any kind. Literally everything shown was multiplat with PC and/or PS4.

Yeah, depends what games they have deals for though. MS seem to have thrown money around for these timed things to bolster the line up, whereas Sony haven't had to do it.

Way better than EAs. But there's really only a couple games I'm into. LiS, Metro, and maybe Ass Creed.

7.5/10 Microsoft
4/10 EA

7/10

the good for me:
-Anthem
-Sea of Thieves
-backwards compatibility
-Ori
-X size and shape
-Metro

bad:
-$500. If i'm spending that much, might as well get a PC as there aren't really exclusives. PS4 Pro likely will be $350ish w/maybe a game at packed in at X launch.
-Announcing X and pimping a Porsche was tacky
-"exclusive."
-Crackdown 3.
-Besides Forza, 1st party didn't really sell me why i'd spend $500 for the powerhouse of a console.

middling:
-basically most games. not many deep dives and the sheer abundance of games (not a bad thing, obviously) made it hard to digest much.

I don't get how Microsoft is getting this much praise. Horrible name (Xbox One X), Really bad price (500$), nothing really big to sell the system besides better graphics, I didn't expect much but no secret title, no exclusive new features, nothing. Like seriously if you own a PS4 (normal or Pro) or an Xbox One why would you buy an Xbox One X at 500$? The graphical improvements shown didn't really look THAT much better, it just seems like a massive failure on their part to sell the system.

Seriously too that name is horrible, as someone who worked at Gamestop for a decade I don't want even think about the confusion that will come from people asking for the Xbox One S or X, its Wii U bad. What were they thinking?

I still think they at least did the presentation itself really well, not that much talking going from game to game like Sony did last year, that was good its just that it was a lot and I mean a LOT of indies, and nothing really exciting and everything was a 'timed' exclusive.

I'm just really not impressed by what we saw, With a new system on the line I thought Microsoft would really have something, Anthem being an exclusive would have been something but no they don't really have anything to really show off this system.

I mean think about if the Switch launched without Zelda.

So because the presentation itself was well done, 7/10. The content was not good enough.

I'd give MS a 5.

Pros
Life is Strange prequel
Luckey's Tale

Cons
Not enough real gameplay
I wasn't interested in a lot of the games there
The reveal of Anthem being a multiplayer game
The price of the XBX

I liked their indie offerings much better than the AAA games they showed (bar Sea of Thieves- that water man). I especially liked that weird trippy arty game, and Cuphead finally has a date.

6/10. It was too long and there was too much talking. Much better than EA's conference for sure.

You sound like my parents when I was in high school

Insanely bad.

B.

lol.

Let me put it down better, as I kind of jumped the gun. Objectively, it was a pretty good conference with lots of content. But for me personally, it was a B, cause only The Last Night and Metro Exodus enticed me, and I got no reason to buy the Xbox but I knew that going in before hand since I have a PC, and Microsoft is giving us gamers all of them Xbox games as well. I was just bored throughout the conference really. The sounds in Forza Motorsport 7 were really good but I'm not gonna buy that one. And Assassin's Creed looked very rough unfortunately. But there was nothing for me, other than the aforementioned Metro: Exodus and The Last Night.

7/10

The game spread alone would of made this an 8 or 9, but part of the point of the conference was to sell the X, and it didn't really do that.

Should of had a separate event to show off the X.

I'm giving this conference a score of Metro/10.

EasyAllies seems to be way high on Sea of Thieves and the conference itself.

5/10

Price is too high
They have given up this gen but are trying to wait it out imo
Battletoads, Perfect Dark and a ton of IPs lay dormant

would be worse but xbox games is a huge plus (they really need to work on this naming thing) BC here

I wanna give them a 1/10 for still doing the bullshit cheer parade though

8.5 from me. Negatives were car on stage, Xbox One X name and price and too much talking. Otherwise they had plenty of games that look really good

Positives:
- Metro
- Life is Strange
- OG Xbox BC
- Anthem looked good
- Decent pacing, with a ton of games

Negatives:
- Xbox One X name and price
- Forza car
- Still too much fluff
- All the interesting game announcements were either multiplatform or only timed exclusives
- Only two new exclusives announced, both of which were insanely obvious
- Their "most diverse lineup ever" featured two multiplat Japanese games
- Anthem footage was probably bull

My expectations going into it were fairly low and they really didn't exceed them. Yes, there were a ton of games but only a handful were actually exclusives and they only announced TWO new ones. They gave me no reason whatsoever to reinstall the Windows 10 Store on my PC, let alone think of buying a Xbox.

This crew is too nice. They score high based purely on format. They praise that they showed a bunch of games and then say oh, but nothing blew me away.

I personally score higher on actual content. Format was good but the substance wasn't there. 7 out of 10 at best. Probably a lower score truly from me.

My thoughts exactly, also I have zero interest in backwards compatibility honestly
