Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

It was a decent Direct. They obviously couldn't show any Metroid at this stage but still wanted people to know it existed, which is nice. Mario looks quirky, but I can see the appeal for sure. The trailer was good for it. Mainline Pokemon planned for Switch, great. Rocket League, great. Kirby, cool. Surprised there was no Smash announcement. Expected a little more in the way of ports I guess. But overall pretty solid.

All things considered I think Ubisoft had my favourite presentation of this years E3. Was just a lot of fun, and that BG&E2 announcement was both awesome, and slightly emotional.

Everything narrative and plot related for Other M is Nintendo's fault, blame Team Ninja for the gameplay.

Really? Anything to confirm this? (Honestly asking)

I sincerely hope they don't do the same thing again with this, if that's the case... Prime games thrive on their atmosphere.

Last thing we need is Adam authorizing Samus to do things.

It's awesome to see Nintendo so energized with their big properties

Wii U was a crazy creative time for them but it was missing a lot of the hits. If they actually connect with their audience on the new platform and keep delivering some of the best games in their respective franchises, it'll be really great

I'd just like to see recycling/filler kept to a minimum.

iT'S A example of not having your main artist also write a story.

I...just don't know what to think about this.

Mario looks outstanding, likely my game of the show.

With that said, Metroid and Pokemon announcements were just incredibly lame. Gotta have at least some substance there. Kind of spoiled a great future Direct/E3 reveal as well.

It was just so short, not much shown and so much I wanted/expected to see missing. Hopefully we'll learn some more soon.

I think they're stuck in a weird place. Switch just came out so they likely don't have a ton of games ready to show. But people have been begging for Metroid and they wanted to let people know, "We hear you."

And can you blame them for Pokemon? What looked to be an incorrect report from Eurogamer caused their Pokemon Direct to be looked at badly even though it wasn't Nintendo's fault.

Excited for Kirby! But man that Xenoblade trailer turned me off on that game. The VO was pretty bad, and the female characters do not look great.

Yeah, I get you and I'd love to see them do this for all franchises as Oddessy is going to do for Mario what BOTW did for Zelda by the looks of things, but I think realistically with how many years they take, the other teams have to iterate to keep the wheels turning. I liked both Kirby and Yoshi, but hopefully during the generation, they do get this level of reinvention too.

I don't expect that kind of reinvention from any of the other franchises, Zelda and Mario are the biggest and easiest to really experiment and build upon

But I'd like to see less Kirby drawing games......

Use that creativity from making the game look like clay and put it towards making something fully developed. Those are the games that are frustrating where it's like "yeah you had an idea but I don't want to play this"

Definitely agree they are in a weird place, but surprised many of these things aren't further along. They basically abandoned the Wii U early and that these are so early along is a bummer.

If they still feel it's necessary to announce these games that are so early in development, at least give us something to chew on. For instance, that Last of Us 2 announcement. A slide and just nonchalantly announcing a game with nothing to show is just underwhelming.

Dude. The reactions would have been identical even if EG didn't run that story.

Damiani. The reason why other m was linear wasn't because of constraints, sakamoto had been taking the series in that direction since fusion. He wanted a linear narrative driven direction.

F-Zero will never come out again

Expecting it is only trying to hurt yourself

Expect Sakurai to make a Captain Falcon game because that's all we're going to get

Even if I'm just excited for a few things, I think this E3 was solid by all parts. Just not target for my taste. But all conference had good paces (Even EA) and were focused on games.

The bummer it's that most of the content already was announced or was expected. I mean, Metroid Prime it's a huge announcement, but after the federation force backlash it wasn't imposible. Beyond Good & Evil 2? Already announced, Bioware new IP? we knew it was coming. And then the leaks as always. Only thing that really shock me was the SOTC remake, but just cuz I didn't enter GAF or any other site after Ubisoft showcase, so I saved that for myself.

Other than that, my highlights are A Way Out, Dragon Ball Fighterz and Mario. Spider-man was solid but the stealth part and the combat didn't grow on me. Don't care about the fact it's QTE heavy. Xenoblade 2 also looks interesting for someone that didn't play the original and X didn't catch my attention.

Obviously still interested in Detroit, God of War, Marvel vs Capcom, TEW2, BF2 story mode (

By the way. Don't know if it was treated, but I'm the only one that thinks that Monster Hunter was a bad E3 surprise announcement? I know it's big on Japan, but I don't think it's the Japanese game that can be hype enough to be the biggest surprise in an E3 press conference.

Welp, 2D metroid for 3ds. Put that on Switch also...

this looks great.I guess they really didn't want any 3DS stuff, but they really shoulda thrown this trailer in, and then followed it up with "and also in development... Prime 4." that would've been aces

A pretty solid E3 press conference line-up this year. Last year was more jaw-dropping, but some conferences still brought it.

Metroid Prime 4
Shadow of the Colossus
Pokemon Switch
A Way Out
Metro
Anthem
The Last Night
The Evil Within 2

Xenoblade 2
God of War
Ni No Kuni II
Detriot: Become Human
Days Gone

Feel sorry for Blood. He just went to Spain to meet those guys and preview their new game and now everyone around him is shitting on them for no real reason.
If the Allies have such a low opinion of the company, why accept a paid trip to Europe from them?
