Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

That Spotlight was amazing. I got what I wanted, new console Kirby, new Metroid, mainline Pokemon, Xenoblade this year and stunning Mario footage.

The only thing missing, which I expected, was Animal Crossing. Which I believe will get its own Direct together with the mobile game in a few months.

Feel sorry for Blood. He just went to Spain to meet those guys and preview their new game and now everyone around him is shitting on them for no real reason.
If the Allies have such a low opinion of the company, why accept a paid trip to Europe from them?
It's almost like it's their job to cover games and critique them

Didn't know Blood flew out for a Lords Of Shadow 2 party

Kyle: "Any presentation with that Mario trailer is a 10. Any presentation with that Pokemon announcement is a 4. It's a complete success and total failure at once"

Pahaha. Accurate.

Bit too negative I feel. Brad is right, they announced a new 2D Metroid and a new 3D Metriod. That's amazing.

And Animal Crossing just isn't ready yet. They didn't decide to show Yoshi instead of it. We got two great looking new 2D games and that's awesome.

Bethesda had the worst conference but the best new games

Sony had a great conference but very little new announced

Ubisoft was the best conference overall with a mix of pacing and new

Weird E3

Totally agree with Blair, far fewer people are going to be aware of what's going on in the Treehouse.

That's been proven incorrect in the past. Treehouse is very successful for Nintendo.

That being said, this game specifically? It should have been in the Direct. Reggie says, "We want to focus on Switch today but we do have a 3DS announcement for you."

And then as soon as the trailer ends, lead into the Prime 4 teaser.

That was a huge missed opportunity.

Nintendo Direct:

Brandon: 7.9
Kyle: 6.5
Blood: 7.7
Ben: 8
Damiani: 7 (My personal score as well)
Huber: 8.4
Brad: 7.2
Ian: 7.9
(Special Guest) Matt: 7.8

Gotta say, this year E3 confence coverage is good, but last year is better. Maybe conference lagging bomb, maybe missing random crews.
Average is better but not much high notes.

Thanks Allies and looking forward to show floor report, hopefully another great Huber story.

Definitely gonna try and watch as much EZA this E3 as I can.

Final scores for me:
EA: 5.0
MS: 7.5
Bethesda: 6.2
Devolver: ?.?
PC: 7.3
Ubisoft: 8.4
Sony: 7.7
Nintendo: 7.4

Ah so that's how they could get Blair on stream. There was chatter he was someone his previous employer wouldn't allow him to be on something like EZA.

It was good to see him on camera again. Wish him luck

I think a lot of it was the conferences. My most anticipated E3 EZA content starts tonight!

Thank the gods XC2 is hitting this year. No Animal Crossing is a huge bummer though, it needs to get on the Switch soon so i can play it for the next 2-3 years.

Also, awesome to see Blair!

And that small tease about hearing more from him in the future, too. Only got into EZA w/EZA & not Gametrailers like most people, but his input was great today.

Can't waaaaaait for show floor impressions tonight. Fingers crossed for a Kiwami or 6 story like last year's.

I caught the tail end of GT (i got into them after I sawthe Sony E3 reaction video) and appreciated Matt. I didn't always agreed with his opinions or ideas but I can say he always had pretty unique and different takes on things

FINAL RANKINGS:

1. Ubisoft 8.5. Never been a Ubisoft fan, so this is bizarre to me. Probably my least anticipated conference going into it. Came away very excited about the future of many of their games and the show was very good.

2. Sony 8. Lost Legacy, Horizon, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War and Spider Man all looked great. Lack of new game announcements and shortness of conference combined with the pointless crowd and stage presentation effects were negatives. Overall, a major disappointment for me. Announcing good stuff in the preshow that seemed very interesting was a bad way to go about it, especially with a needlessly short conference length.

3. Nintendo 7.4. Odyssey was my game of the show, can't wait. Pointless announcements of Metroid and Pokemon along with shortness of the show was a letdown. The rest of the games didn't move the needle for me.

4. Microsoft 6.9. Games looked good and more backwards compatibility is great. Unfortunately, they had one major goal and that was to sell me a XB1X and they completely failed that with me. The price along with the bizarre "exclusives" along with revealing your console with a car announcement just missed with me completely. Lack of first party games a major letdown as well.

5. EA 5.7. A Way Out seemed interesting. "Announcement" of Anthem was a bummer at the time, but game looked good at Microsoft. Overall, just lacked games that interested me and didn't have the things from EA that interested me. Better than last year (not saying much).

6. Bethesda 4.0. Wolfenstein definitely looked outstanding. However, a largely pointless midnight press conference on a Sunday night was just a terrible idea. No real reason to have an E3 conference other than the fact they have had one before. Also, everything outside of Wolfenstein and Evil Within 2 (not a game I see myself ever playing) was just pointless to me.

Overall, most disappointing E3 in many years which is crazy! I was really looking forward to Switch stuff, what the Scorpio would be and Sony just to continue killing it. All three were major let downs.

On the other hand, Easy Allies coverage has been outstanding and I'm looking forward to spending the next few nights w/their coverage.

Don't see what treehouse success has to do with the straight fact that less people watch it that the main showcase.
