GAF... Have I ruined this opportunity? (Girl advice needed)

I think we're all talking about going to her lunch venue in the hope he'll bump into her. You can't go to the front desk of an office building and say "Hi, I'm looking for a really pretty brunette who I think works on the fifth floor. About 5 foot 6. Any ideas?"

Well, If I was in OP's shoes I'd explain that they met coming into town and he just forgot her name and that he had to tell her something. As long as it seemed like a common sense explanation I wouldn't think it wouldn't be creepy.

You've got absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Very lucky that she mentioned where she usually goes to lunch. Do it, my man!

Oh I believe this wasn't just a mention! This was straight up clue. She touched OP!

Oh man. I hope this story ends well. 😘

Buy a ukulele and go serenade her at work. If she works in a large office building bring lots of pebbles with you, as you will need to try a lot of windows before you find her.

Here's the master plan:

Go. If you see her - "I needed somewhere to eat and I've heard good things about this place". Play it cool, chit-chat, ask her for her name. "I think it'd be great if this wasn't the last time we spoke to eachother", exchange numbers.

If any part of that goes sour walk to the opposite end of the restuarant and order yourself a cheese sandwich.

You'll have to be extra cool to avoid any creepiness. Think of the end of The Dark Knight Rises - you want to be Bruce Wayne in that scene.

You're a fool OP. Go see her, tell her you're a fool for not asking her name and see if she can forgive you. If she gives you a second chance, for the love of god get her number.

Just don't be all creepy about it and if it's clear she doesn't want to see you then just apologize and leave. Simple.

Not bringing any advice that wasn't already shared but shoot your shot, go to the lunch spot and see if you can meet her. Absolute worst case scenario she isn't feeling it and you strike out, best case scenario...*Quagmire gif*

Yeah OP, you dropped the ball but plot twist motherfucker you know interesting information about her, specially where she works. Go for it! Yes you can *Eye Of the tiger starts playing*

I know this might be a long shot, but there might be a way to find her name at least. If you have a Facebook and you search for her job company and city name you might find the Facebook page on it. She may have liked the company page or made a post that used location to say she's been there. Like I said it's a long shot, but it's worth an attempt. If you can find her name it would be easier to find her at the workplace.

GAF detectives can probably find her in 5 minutes through LinkedIn and such. But turning up at her job is a bit different then lunch.

I like how all of this could've been avoided if she just asked for your number

Instead your loitering around some cafe 💀💀💀

I know right? Why people can't just communicate is beyond me.

If you're salty about someone not asking you out, why don't you ask them out instead of being petty?

I'm invested now as well, I hope this works out for the OP.

Be spontaneous op, go to her place of work tell her you were an idot get her name, ask for her number.. Or at least try as whatever the outcome is, at least you will have no regrets..

Maybe she is an active gaf user??

You missed it. Going to her lunch place is a weird thing to do.

Eh - not really. I get what you're saying, but in this particular context, I don't think it'll read as creepy.

She mentioned the spot, and OP's intentions are fine. Best thing to do is be honest. "I regret not asking your name, and I remember you mentioning that you eat lunch here. I'm on break now, and don't know the area well, so I thought I'd take a chance and swing by." If she reads it as weird, move on and don't be too hard on yourself.

After we land, we walk together to the baggage claim and continue talking until her bags pop out. I kinda wanted to ask her if I could see her again while I'm in town but felt like maybe it would be inappropriate as I don't want her to feel obligated if she was just being nice to a dude on the plane.

Dude, come on. Never pre-reject yourself. That's their concern, not yours. Don't grade your own paper like that.

Go find her. And when you get there, don't be a wimp about it. Ask her out for a later date. Show her you're not the wimp she left at the airport. If she shoots you down, you're just back to where you are now so no big deal. At least you won't have to wonder.

Too late. Don't go stalking her now. Learn your lesson and move on.

Yeah, no.

From the Cambridge Dictionary:

Stalker: a person who illegally follows and watches someone, especially a woman, over a period of time.

You're fine, OP. Just roll with the punches and move on if she isn't interested.

Yeah, go see her. Live happily ever after. Name your first born GAF.

Geffory Alexander Felix?

Op go for it, but I'd get her something too, like flowers. And have the card say "sorry I missed the signs". She could be pissed at you for not noticing and it would be a good ice breaker for her to laugh at.

I dunno, if you live a flight away in a different city I don't think it's even worth pursuing. Maybe she would like it if you just showed up to the place she eats lunch but it just seems desperate to me.

Definitely go for it, just dont be creepy.

And make sure to tell us what happens.

EDIT: though, if youre only in town for a few days and live far, maybe its not worth it?

Its a 2 hour drive from where I live.

45 minutes until I duck out for lunch.

If you asked this in the dating thread I'd say, nope, blew your chance, do better next time.

But since this is general GAF: DO IT WOOHOO LUNCH STALKING

But seriously: nope, blew your chance, do better next time.

You were dumb and sold yourself short when you obviously had something going.

But I think you still have a chance. She straight up told you where you can find her. Go see her, apologize, and explain that you're usually really shy and really bad at this sort of thing. Introduce yourself to her, ask her about her, and tell her you'd like to see her again.

You didn't even ask her name? That's...the first thing you ask once you have a conversation going. Holy shit dude

I get it, you probably are pretty shy and stuff. Don't overthink things, stop worrying so much about how others perceive your actions. Learn to read tone and intent...there is a reason she was talking so much with you, and it wasn't just being nice. When you keep telling yourself that, you block off any potential relationship.

I haven't face palmed this hard in a while.
