Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

102% on Crash 1. 14 platinum relics, 12 gold. I could get a couple of more platinums but some are just too hard because of the level lengths.

Just started this. Went to Crash 3 first since that's the one I played recently, and I wanted to see how it feels compared to the original. So far it's good, but I keep noticing small things that annoy me only because I've played the originals so much. Just the most minor things imaginable. Like, the fruit collecting animation seems slower than normally. And Crash's victory dance is also completely off.

I'm also not happy with the load times. Seems longer than they should be. Either way, I'm just nitpicking, and I'm certainly happy this was made. I hope Vicarious Visions get to do Spyro next.

I just beat Hog Wild but I technically died at the same time. I crashed the hog into the last shield-guy but Crash flew into the portal at the end of the level and I still somehow beat the level. Is that meant to happen?

Not played yet, but I do kind of get the impression that 3 benefitted the least from this remaster.

Hey. You see this guy?

Fuck this guy.

Wow. What is this camera angle?

"N. Hanced graphics". Best OT ever.

I never played Crash Bandicoot, but I'll give this a go in the hopes that good sales will prompt a CTR remake.

Got to play a few levels of Crash 1 before heading off to work. First time playing the games since the PSX era so it's a really great nostalgia trip and I'm digging it so far. My only complaint so far is the loading times...not happy with how long it takes to get into a stage and even back to the level select map. I like playing platformers in short bursts and quickly jumping in and out of stages, so that's a bit of a bummer.

lol the Native Fortress tears in here....C'mon everyone, these games coming back are what we all wanted!!! Embrace it and love it, and that includes the harder levels!!!

Yeah I’m hoping load time is high on the list for future improvements.

Just demolished native fortress after 15 tries. My hand hurts after punching the pillow in anger multiple times. The controls are as bad as it was, not sure if I'm happy that they kept the bad controls.

I was tempted to pick it up but I don't want to fight with horrible controls ever again.

I'm not sure what the complaints about the controls of crash 1 are?
I went through the entire game just fine and pretty much had 99 lives halfway through the second island.
Wasn't using d-pad, either.

I got the fricking world record time on a bridge level, and that was the only time I even reached that level's end on time attack.

I haven't got the collection yet but I replayed Crash 1 last week last week. I didn't have any issue beating Native Fortress so I'm curious to play it on the PS4. Maybe it's harder in the collection? Now Road to Nowhere... fuck that boar.

I had forgotten to switch my TV settings to game mode and there was some lag. I initially thought the controls were bad but realized it and switched it to game. Controls are great and probably better than the original. I remember the movement being a bit slippery in the past which lead to many accidental falls. But much tighter controls this time, I believe.

I also love how you can do Bonus levels over again. I was always so pissed I had to soothe entire level again to have another crack at the bonus levels. I don't know how we tolerated it in the past.

If people are struggling with the triple flame section on native fortress:
pay attention to the background

That trick is actually used earlier in the level as well for a shortcut.

Also hog wild was harder than I remember, still not sure how I got past that final hog jump. The rest of the game has been spotty on so far though (up to The Lost City going for my first coloured gem).

Ok Crash 1 normal beaten, but what the heck happened with High Road.

I lost goddamn 20+ lives because of ledges and turtles. I thought it was nitpicky that jumps were different, but this is seriously too different. I lost only 5 lives on Slippery Climb’s Red Gem, but High Road just ate my lives. That level was no problem in original. I almost think that they should adjust it somehow.

Or maybe not since a lot of people are stuck on Native Fortress or something.

Gave it a good go at a friend's house. If you like Crash, it's Crash.
I particularly like the new models for all the characters and how expressive they are, I got quite a few laughs just from Crash's facial expressions during gameplay.

I would not mind a minor trend, not a major trend as we don't need to be inundated with remakes, but a minor trend of some notable older games getting this "remake but more or less 1:1" treatment. The original Spyro trilogy, for instance, could really do with something like this.

I'm not gonna take on the colored crystals (all boxes, no death) in Crash 1 until they implement a restart option in the menu. They already have it for the time trials but not for "normal runs" for some reason.

So i just did Slippery Climb and reached the bonus level. After i finished it, i got to a spot that was really, really hard and took me over 30 lifes to beat. Afterwards i had to realize that i accidentally did go back towards the beginning of the level.

Yeah, there doesn't even seem to be any way to exit to the map while in a level? That would still suck with these loading times but it'd be something. Hopefully we get a patch that addresses this, the annoying unskippable intro and the subtitles.

Just beat Native Fortress and I honestly didn't find it a hard level, sure it is a bit tougher than the previous ones but I managed to do it using only 3 or 4 lives in my first attempt

Getting that relic it's gonna be a challenge though
