Wanna show us?
This is such a joy to play. The difficulty in Crash 1 feels perfect to me. I'm a bit worried that 2 and 3 will be too easy now, I forgot exactly how they played.
Crash 1 is a solid foundation with extremely rigid level design and depth perception issues.
The moment you play 2 and are able to slide jump you never wanna go back to 1.
Youll definitely see the trophy percentages for 2 and 3 be higher than 1.
Right I'm missing something here because how the fuck do you Platinum the first level time trial?
What's worse is that I know younger me wouldn't have a problem but fucking hell the box bridge while invincibility is on = nope.
So yep, I'm doing it wrong.I used this route, definitely a difficult one though.
Is there seriously no way to skip it? I figured it just forced me to the first time and we could skip once a save had been made. Yikes.Who the hell at VV thinks a minute long intro+loading into a game is a good idea?
To get that Special Gem on The Lost Islands in Crash 1, can I die on the Bonus Stages?
You also get extra health if you die too much and there are hints on the loading screens so yeah, it's definitely been made easier. Still much harder than people might be used to these days![]()
Yes.

Well, now that's a relief
Oh, The Lost City is the hardest of the colored gems? Thank goodness, I thought they were all going to be that stressful.
Only took me like 4 tries, but it was waaaay too tense, especially the last two boxes.
Why, why, why is that intro unskippable?!
Who the fuck thought, "Yes, this is acceptable " and let that pass...

How do I unlock the bonus level to get the second white gem in Bone yard?
I feel like the hints on the loading screens are more of a QoL improvement than something that makes the game easier. The trilogy has quite a bit of nonsense that youd have to look up or do by chance.
Like telling you about the wumpa path in crash 1 to get to more boxes is much appreciated.
The extra Aku Aku was always in Crash 1 after a few deaths afaik.
Crash 1 actually has really cool atmosphere and the remade visuals are beautiful. I enjoy the challenge, but sometimes it's a bit much. Overall it's grown on me a lot.
Crash 3 might actually be the worst of the bunch. I don't know if VV ran out of time or the source material just didn't hold up, but it feels like a straight to dvd sequel. It's so bland compared to the other 2.
Only played Crash 1 so far (first time):
- native fortress level is fucking hard
That's actually from the classic games. Pressing Select from the pause menu was how you quit levels in Crash 1 (and I think it worked in 2 and 3 as well). Also, DO NOT press the touch pad when on pause menu. It will quit the level/game. Such a weird design choice (or flaw?), hopefully will get patched.
