Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

The High Road is breaking them, bwahahaha

I missed 61 boxes in Jaws of Darkness

POOR COCO GOT FUCKED UP AT THE END... LMAOOOO
I don't know what's worse, seeing her get crushed or seeing her get upset with you

coco pls, this game is hard 😣

It's so much fun playing this game in a group, passing the controller around, laughing at everytime we fail and getting nervous together at every near miss - just a purely fun experience.

The thing about beating the Road to Nowhere/High Road/Slipper Climb/Native Fortress levels is that when you beat them you feel like nobody can hold you down. Once you beat those brutal levels you feel like a Super Saiyan.

Oh yeah I felt like a gaming god today after high road lol.

I'm getting together with my sister and our cousins for the fourth and this is probably what we are gonna do. All of us played these games growing up and had the "one life" rule where someone else would get to play after they lost their life.

Lost all my lives in Crash 2 on Bee-Having

Guess I'm stopping for the night lol.

I don't know that I'm going to play Crash 3 immediately after I finish 2. I'm already starting to get burned out.

I dont know if anybody said it already but you can grind lives off the bees.

You just slide spin into all 5 bees the moment they come out of the hive and it gives you a 1up. Very specific timing but its how i grinded lives.

I don't really want to grind lives. I had like 20 lives and I couldn't beat that level lol.

Crash 2 is done. On too Crash 3. Aiming to finish each one in a day. Not 100% though, I'm sitting at 78% on Crash 1 after beating Cortex and 85% on Crash 2 after beating Cortex. Platinums will come slowly after my initial run throughs. It feels so good to play through all of these games again bu with a fresh look and some improvements.

I mean if youre in the level youre trying to beat that has the bees you can keep going and not get a game over with that method. Its like 1 life every few seconds.

The pity aku aku's and checkpoints make the level easier as well.

Finishing Lost City with 82/82 boxes then falling into the final chasm before the exit

We're all just play things of 1996 Naughty Dog

Fucking with us through time and space

Just beat Crash 1, I'll play Crash 2 tomorrow. Once I beat all 3 games I'll go back around and try to get everything in them but that can wait.

Yeah, watching Maximillian, there is definitely something wrong with the turtle bouncing. You lose a bit of momentum whenever you jump on them, so you don't go max speed in the air.

This was probably not in the PS1 version, right?

Definitely curious about how they compare on the finer points. If the remake makes certain actions harder.

Have never played a Crash Bandicoot game (other than Uncharted 4)
Should I give this a try?
Is the control renewed? or they only remastered the visuals?
You should definitely try them, but I suggest skipping 1 and starting from 2, not because 1 is not good but because it's very hard and may sour you on the entire trilogy.

OK, Slippery Climb beaten... Any other hard ass levels left?

Finishing up the last few relics of Crash 1 before I go fight Cortex. I'm kind of softening up on the new physics/handling/momentum. I think I still prefer the original in terms of controls, but I'm not getting as frustrated as I was earlier. It's starting to feel more like deaths are my fault rather than the game itself. That said, there are still some moments that completely catch me off guard, and I'm hoping VV can tighten things up a bit in future patches.

True, after 130+ deaths on The High Road I'm sure anything is a relief for them, lol

high is road is a bitch.....but I managed to beat it after 7 tries...that stupid goat and turtles kept killing me lol

Man, I want to use the ropes to get past High Road (and later for time trial), but it feels super finicky and I keep falling off all the time. Are you guys using the stick or the dpad for this? I've been using the stick for most of the game and getting on the ropes feels easier with it, but then it's very hard to keep perfectly straight.

I find the stick easier to use when I want to do big jumps, but for the rope I used the D-pad. Could never imagine myself beating that level other than walking on the ropes. Good luck :P

How do I play as Coco?

In Crash 1, defeat Papu Papu and there will be a dot beneath his location where you can switch with Coco.

In Crash 2, defeat the first boss, go to the center platform and Hold up to reach the 2nd warp room. There will be a TT device that lets you switch with Coco.

In Crash 3, just go to the save screen and interact with her.

As a first time player (knowing very little about this game), i started playing Crash 1 yesterday and i'm wondering if it's normal i can't finish Native Fortress at this point?

I'm having fun with the game though (despite not being good at it) but i feel it needs better and tighter controls for the level of precision required, especially in the sidescrolling parts. It has a certain stiffness and laginess about it which makes it harder and less fun to play than it could be.

Also, i miss these kind of games (fun, colorful, platform) on modern consoles.

And Crash 1 is done! I'm so glad I've managed to finish it, it's the only one I couldn't finish when I was a child. A few levels were difficult as hell and enfuriating (Slippery Climb and High Road, I'm looking at you) but I had tons of fun in general

Now time to move into Crash 2 and 3, I'm not bothering trying to get all the gems in Crash 1, I appreciate myself lol

I'm guessing people noticed this already, but if you die enough times in any specific long section of the later levels, VV start adding in extra checkpoints where blank boxes are. Happened to me in Fumbling in the Dark. Superb change imo. Crash 1 only from what I can tell (didn't die much in Crash 2 so far).

This was in the original Crash 2 and 3. It happens after 12 deaths.
