I'm seriously considering giving up on high Road time trial. I feel like even the gold relic is impossible.
I hope they add Stormy Ascent in the DLC.
Haha I didn't remember it to be that badProbably the hardest gem fwiw
Loving the game so far, but what's with the long unskippable intro sequence? I can't believe stuff like that still happens.
It was a brilliant intro the first time but after a few times I agree it gets a bit tedious. I suspect the reason it's unskippable is because it's hiding some extra loading times.Loving the game so far, but what's with the long unskippable intro sequence? Crash 1 Platinum Troph GET.
NEVER AGAIN. UNLESS IT COMES TO A PORTABLE CONSOLE I GUESS.
On to Crash 2! =D
Yeah the rope technique is like a challenge in and of itself, I got 2 game overs trying it hahaHigh Road relic man... I suck at staying on the ropes.
I skipped most of Crash 1 to save the frustration for later. Turns out that all the games are frustrating!
Getting the box gem on Cold Hard Crash is just...eurgh. That death path is killing me. Made it through the death path the be swept up in the momentum of the ice and be unable to turn around and backtrack for that box I made appear from the ! block at the end.
Twice.
Eurrrrrgh.
Glad I'm not imagining it, it's a painIt is, It was less tighter in the original.
The pop-off! Which Relic did you go for last?
Time to go for what will probably make or brake the platinum trophy: high road relic...
There's no trial and error, observe and you'll see that he follows a certain pattern every time you hit him. Just stay out of his way and you'll beat him easily.Ripper Roo is a terrible boss fight, damn. It just comes down to trial and error which just isn't fun once you've figured out what to do and keep having to do it because of a late-stage death.

He is a simple boss with a clear pattern. Not sure what's terrible about him.
He jumps on certain platforms in each phase and never changes his pattern.

Ahhhh, finally beat Crash 1. Now onto my favorite game in the series!
It is annoying, but you know it's only necessary for the coloured gems right? You're allowed to die for the rest. Why can't I just restart the level on a crate run? Why do I need to quit and sit through 2 overly long loading screens? The game has a huge emphasis on collectibles, a detailed animation of all missed crates at the end of a level, yet the actual process for crate hunting is cumbersome as hell. I don't get how this never came up in like the most basic game testing.

Is this old news? Xbox One pre-orders going up.
I actually just went through in level order. The High Road was the hardest because it super finicky and difficult even when cheating. =
The ones after that were remarkably easy compared to that.
There is some definite jank in Fumbling in the Dark though. There's a small platform just before the first rats that seems to slow you down a little.
And later there's a section where you need the rats to spin away into a far away box so you can light the last bit of level... and the rats sometimes just don't spawn.
Bear in mind I did NOT go for Platinum relics as I don't have the time or patience to do so on my days off. Its supposed to be relaxing! =P
I can give you a pointer for High Road: hop on and off the rope only for jumps you can't make alone.
Unless you can absolutely master walking on the rope then its not worth the effort.
I went for Gold and it was still super tight. =
I'd say the hardest relics are:
Sunset Vista
Native Fortress
High Road
Sunset is just ridiculously long, but Native Fortress was my least favourite. The hazards would be at a different part of their cycle every time I got to them, sometimes not even in sync with each other. That whole level felt like a load of RNG bullshit.
Still no small feat, congrats! I haven't gotten to The High Road or Fumbling in the Dark yet. Not looking forward to it
As far as the ropes go, I still haven't gotten it down. I swore I'd abuse them for Road to Nowhere, but found it easier to just clear normally by the end. Every time I swing for the ropes, I just die trying.

Crash 3 achievement question: What am I supposed to do forThat moment of zen? I know it has something to do with the monkeys in the pots in the egypt levels,
I just dunno what I'm supposed to do exactly

Try playing that level with a 10 month old on your lap "helping" by either dragging the analogue stick just when it's critical to get jumps right or pressing the PS home button.Damn I still cNt beat native fortress.. the part with the three torch always gets me. Im seconds away from throwing my controller to my tv. Lord help me
Are you all trying to beat the games before getting the collectables for them or are you doing it for each game before moving to the next?
