Not sure if it's the correct mentality for whatever's beyond Pro (I haven't even done a Pro Run yet 'cause I need a break. lol), but I feel that, with the number of bosses thrown your way and your comparatively low quota, you're much better off focusing on killing and more killing than you are actually collecting golden eggs. While meeting the quota early or blowing way past the quota is nice, remember you've got 120 seconds to hit it; you can afford to let a few eggs get away. What you -can't- afford is to let a boss live for even 5 of those seconds as you're gonna get swarmed fast.
It helps that a lot of people are in a "COLLECT EVERYTHING" mentality, so you're -definitely- hitting that quota if you can help keep them alive. lol

That's why you should use Discord. Until Nintendo catches up with Discord, there's no reason not to prefer it every single time.

The kit on the new aerospray is really solid; it can cause some serious headaches for any team fighting it in the hands of a skilled user; but the weapon is far from overpowered. It has massive RNG spread, is a 5 hit weapon to kill, and is grossly outranged by anything that's basically splattershot up. People just don't know how to deal with its insane turf output; this happened in Splatoon 1 as well.
Lobbies filling up with Aerosprays though will probably be a thing again too, though.
The Turf War matchmaking, assuming it works similarly to Splatoon 1, doesn't really care about level. Level is just an indicator of how long someone has played, not how good they are. Instead, it tries to keep people of simiar playstyle and performance together. Keeping in mind there is a massive influx of new players, it's going to take time for it to sort itself out.
Profreshional is the highest, but once you hit max, your points for your Salmon Run rank keep increasing (I hit Pro 160 earlier). The difficulty continues to rise despite this; the final wave has become a real killer for me when it spawns 3 boss salmonoids with every horn.

Head to the counter to the side of the Grizzco entrance within the plaza. You should be able to collect your rewards from there. : )

Salmon Run truly is the way to go, I just got 32,000 coins as a bonus!

Yeah you're right that in terms of kills it's not overpowered, but I tend to avoid most encounters, unless I can flank them. Where some people proceeed to try and take someone out if they're shooting them, I always turn into a squid and retreat. You're gonna rack up more points alive spraying turf than you are having to wait to respawn.
The key to it as you say is the amount of turf you can cover, and you can make good use of the curling-bomb launcher to take over turf very easily even with enemies on it.

I must be doing something wrong on Splatoon 2. I've lost way more than I've won despite finisying first or second consistently each match. I know my weapons are still entry level but I don't really think thats the issue. Didn't seem to have this problem on the first one or the Testfires.

The end of the match thing is too consistent to not be an error on their end, right?
No play what you like I have never been able to get into pokemon or super smash bros or metal gear solid my advice is stick with it for a little bit see if it clicks before giving up.

Yeah I think it's awesome. Never really got into the first game so no idea how things went there.
But it's easy to dominate matches, and I'm probably shit at this game, as with any other weapon I never do as good.
I couldn't get into the 1st game, and hated the test fire last weekend. I couldn't get into it at all. Still bought the game as I wanted to do the campaign, and give online another shot, and it's clicked for me.
Although only turf war has. I tried ranked yesterday (tower control) and hated it, really big pile of shit. I enjoy turf war as I don't concentrate on killing people, like at all. All I'm focused on is covering turf. I know that's he point of the game mode, but you'll be surprised at how many people play it like it's a team deathmatch.
I had one match where one of my joy cons disconnected and I couldn't run or swim so I was standing on the spawn and shooting in desperation and others obviously noticed. Felt bad, man. :-(

He's a reviewer so he probably got it early, but even then people here should start being accustomed with the fact that stores break street dates all the time days in advance
