I originally bought this game to primarily play the single player mode but I'm finding the multiplayer stuff far more engaging. I'm actually a little disappointed with the single player component to be honest. The rage quits or disconnects are kinda getting grating though.

Having to do all 27 levels and 5 bosses just to unlock one hero weapon for multiplayer is really absurd.

Explains why the upgrade prices in singleplayer are so expensive if they want you to keep playing levels. Imagine doing the fucking charger boss with the umbrella.

I'm level 20, I've certainly slept. I just got the game early. Also I've been playing ranked.

I tend to open the map ASAP to see where my teammates are.
If they are in a bad position I close it again and start from the spawn point.
If they are positioned right or I know they will cover my jump instead of leaving me to get splatted on impact, I wait for the chime and then jump.

The other thing Sheldon lets you do now is upgrade your weapons, ink supply and sub-weapons. You do this in the first sector of the solo campaign, Tentakeel Outpost, by spending power eggs and sardinium at the Enhancifier.

leveled up by 3 losses and 1 win. Miss my Splatoon 1 weapons too.

Weird, I've had this happen multiple times but it just tells me that it hasn't detected many players or whatever so the bar isn't going to move.

The one time it put me on the 4 vs the 3 though it gives me meter too so I don't know how that works.

but you still dont get the umbrella yet

It's tedious but it isn't even the hardest part of the story (they modify the arena for close range weapons). That honor still goes to the bullshit spinning switches.

Salmon Run has to be the worst part-time job ever.

+Looks very far from Inkopolis aka awful commute
+Grizz makes you wear bulky outfit with no upgrades like your normal gear
+Have to fight literal hordes of disgusting creatures including some that straight up eat you
+Goop everywhere
+If you do a good job, there's a chance you don't get paid at all and just get closer to being paid
+Pay consists mostly of gatcha balls
+Grizz says nothing about providing references

Like seriously, maybe look into restocking Shella Fresh or ask Crusty Sean if there's a shift open.
