Evading with the duelies also makes you shoot faster for half a second but you are stuck in place, so bad evades can be punished.

You can cancel immobility (earlier) by going into squid form or doing another roll to a safe spot. It feels quicker anyway. Not sure if there's a big diff.

That is really disappointing and kind of a deal-breaker for me. I want to play together with friends and now that Salmon Run isn't even available that's not happening at all. Only solution is grinding Ranked Battles alone until you're rank B. Ludicrous.

you can also do turf war with friends, though it will split you up sometimes. My friends and I still have a blast with it though.

Slight correction: The Dualies' concentrated fire mode can be held until ink runs out so long as you never move and keep holding fire. Whether that's practical outside of Salmon Run though, I haven't a clue.

Can anyone explain to me how the hell this was done?

Stuff like that was hard enough on Miiverse, but with big ol' fingers?

The bosses' roars/screams in the campaign are some of the weirdest rumble effects I've ever experienced. It kind of freaks me out.

This person actually made a program that sends commands to a usb controller that “prints” the image for them. It’s kind of bonkers.

here's a dumb question. I've seen some players wearing respirators, they just show up randomly in the shop or is it something you unlock?

Are there any plans to add splitscreen multiplayer? I have two pro controllers. I'd love to play with a friend without them having to buy a Switch.

Chaingun in splat zones is really good since you are holding ground and not attacking

hm will have to try not moving next time, in the middle of a battle i never think about standing still heh

Am I supposed to be constantly buying new multiplayer gear even if it has bonuses I don't want? 20k seems so expensive for pulling out ability shards. The progression on that stuff feels really slow. Am I missing something?

People are using modded USB controllers.

ha wow! I wasn't expecting that explanation!

Video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLdGdsz_mDk&feature=youtu.be
Git for the Teensy project made to do this: https://github.com/shinyquagsire23/Switch-Fightstick

It's kind of exciting that you could actually make your own completely unique and custom controller if you wanted

Nothing we're aware of. Splitscreen in the original game was an entirely separate mode that never saw any updates, and LAN play seems to have replaced it.

The Sptatoon app is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, I can see my stats and what I should improve on. At the same time, it's depressing when you have more loses than wins in your last 50 games, even when you perform extremely well. Even more depressing when you noticed that your personally best games are the ones you lost.

Yeah, dudes are getting fucking serious at this game. Faced two killers with the "new" Inkbrush last night, one in full Samurai gear, the other in full Ninja gear. The Ninja guy was even named Genji. Very classy.

Inkbrush Ninjas in general are a fucking pain to deal with. Guys just jump out of nowhere and gank you like it's nothing. I can't imagine they're painting that much ground in Turf War, but I guess that's what the other 3 players are for. I wish I liked the Inkbrush more, because it looks super cool, but I keep wanting to paint the ground into of sneak around patiently for kills.

Finally found someone with the inkling girl promotional hat, only need that one still for the full outfit so it's ordered.

Also ordered that cool leather hat.

Those screams at the beginning of a battle if you stay idle? I thought those were octarians dying in horrific ways.

You earn points each Salmon Run game and how more you get the higher the rewards. Every certain amount of points gives you a super bonus wich is like 32k or so in gold. You can claim those rewards there.

I wish the rewards didn't unlock in such a grindy way. It would be better if there were a special store that accepts eggs or something as payment.

But I enjoy the mode so I'll keep playing it.

Played for a few hours last night, and while I do have some logistical issues with the game, I cannot get enough of the multiplayer. I can see my self dumping hundreds of hours into this the rest of the summer, especially since I'm practically unemployed for the next month or so until I leave for school.

Is there any point to getting normal power eggs in Salmon Run? I mean, I still kill all the normal Salmonid I can because fuck those guys, but it seems like only golden eggs are worth anything.

Actually, they could really stand to explain the scoring and payment system for Salmon Run better. Sometimes I've lost and lost rank, sometimes I've lost and my rank hasn't been touched, it's weird. I assume that's about how well you do, but is that based on golden eggs, normal eggs, guys revived, or some combo of the above?

I called it "Children of the Wario" to my friends

I dunno if it's just me...but is anyone else having trouble finding some of the kettles to actually go into the levels on Single Player? I feel like i've spent a lot of time trying to find out where they are in this game compared to the last one where they were kind of in a linear pathway for the most part.

It's an interesting concept where you have to actually look around and try to find where the actual levels are.

Anyone have a link to the music that plays in the first grind-rails mission, the one where you get the dualies? It's a song from the first game and I love it.

Hold on... Where are all the Japanese players? I saw one the other night and didn't think anything of it. In the first Splatoon I almost never had a match without a Japanese player in it. I want to see names I don't know how to read damnit!!!!!

I'm only on the second world of single player and it gets tough at times. It's fun.

It's interesting the way they build the levels to suit the weapon and how they stretch their design skills based on the ink gameplay. It's pretty neat overall.

Decided to practice rapid blaster, decided to do turf war....

Oh shit shit I actually picked ranked.

Luckily I got carried lol. I'm terrible with the blaster.
