If i have something "ordered" via the phone app and i havent picked it up yet can i still order something else... or must i go pick that item up first before i order something else?

Why is it that this question has been asked multiple times and no one has answered it. Is no one here at B- yet?
I hit it the other day but I can't be in this thread 24/7 lol. The post you quoted is correct, hitting B- in one mode unlocks league (for all modes). I also can't confirm what happens if you drop B-
because I'm not a scrub
because I had a second B- rank before I dropped one. I imagine it would stay unlocked, though.

Really starting to warm up to motion controls after having a very hard time at first.

What got me to understand how it works a bit better was to play a bit with separated Joy-Cons.
It's actually way more intuitive that way because the right Joy-Con basically acts like a Wiimote without a pointer.
From there, once i got a good feel, I plopped them back onto the grip and worked my way from there.

Just did my first match and did better than ever in it, even though I was a bit wonky with my controls.

I have been getting use to it as well. It is starting to become second nature, but I am curious if any of you have decontructed what types of movement/scenarios you use motion. For example, do you use primary for gross y axis movements and fine tuned x movements. Do you ever use it for gross aiming in the x axis? Do you strafe and use motion to stay on target? This last scenario is harder for me. I have been trying to get my target in the "bracket" area of the reticle the fine tune aim with motion. I am gettting better with practice but still a long way to go to match my performance other shooters.

How is everyone finding the rhythm game? I'm naturally bad at the genre but I'd say almost everything on Normal is very easy and I could probably fc the majority of them if I put a bit of effort into it but the stuff on hard would really require some work. With some being impossible to fc at my current skill level.

Great fun though, if they released some dlc tracks I'd probably buy them as long as the price isn't outrageous.

I'm not entirely sure I like how most maps in Splatoon 2 have their spawns blocked off from the enemy.

On another note, Salmon Run being closed means that multiplayer is Aerospray hell, how long until the Curling Bomb Launcher gets nerfed into oblivion?

So work is super quiet and i've been practicing Motion control during lunch time in SP. I think i just got it. Cannot wait to get back home and suck ass but get better

GITTING GUD

I'm pretty disappointed in the final boss after the excellence from the first game. It's a big step back. It still has some cool moments though.
Seeing Marie come in and help was awesome.

The .50 Gal seems crazy good and a good counter to the aerospray. Maybe I was just playing against people who weren't using them right, but I won pretty much every standoff against them this morning.

There are all sorts of Aerospray users who don't keep in mind their tiny range. They'll walk right into your fire thinking they can pop you, but die before landing a shot.

Finding this game really scratches the itch I thought Overwatch was going to for me. The itch being a more casual shooter with quick games, where I don't really care if I win or lose.

Very much agree. The wife and i have been playing taking turns just having some fun and relaxing with it. That said... i could also see myself getting very competitive with it at some point with "the guys" lol.

Man, I'm having a real hard time playing ranked. Constantly getting paired with dumb teammates that do nothing to help win.

Yeah, until B- ( and you therefore get league) this is a problem.

I think it might have helped if they gave folks a tutorial to competitive splatoon before unlocking ranked, or do what ARMS did, and have them overcome a difficult challenge first.

Getting to level 10 just means you've played a few hours. It doesn't mean you're going to understand that when you're in overtime, nothing else matters but protecting/attacking the objective.

Even in the B queues you get some people who just shouldn't be in ranked yet, no because they're strictly bad, but moreso because they don't know where they should be at, or when they should not superjump.

League is mad chill, tho.

Hopefully not long, kinda ruins the game a little bit with all the tight lanes on some of the maps.

I just switched away from it but is by far the best super/special there is right now.

Interesting to hear some are having trouble with this, I haven't had any trouble myself. I certainly don't find it more overwhelming than anything else in the hands of a smart player.

Nintendo should just make the next Animal Crossing set in the Splatoonverse instead

Squid Crossing where you collect fresh things for your pad instead of cute animal things

Starting to get a little more frustrated now. After a dominating and successful weekend, starting last night i am getting teamed up with very low levels. I know level isnt totally indicative of skill, but i know certain weapons unlock at certain levels which can alter a few dynamics. But i imagine some of them low levels are new players as well.

For example, im level 17. And ill be paired with two level 4s and a level one. While the opposing team is all in double digits? Im losing more than winning now and i feel myself having to carry my team most the time as i consistently hit top 3 players with 1100+ points at least. Its a little frustrating. I dont mind losing. But when im losing 80% of the time when im even outscoring the competition is tough to swallow.

So is matchmaking just a little wonky right now cause the game is new? Anyone have any idea how i can help my teams odds? I feel like im doing as much as i can. But maybe im missing something?

I played ranked for 4 hours this morning getting ready for Salmon run at 1pm.

Got to 1 and it was still closed so I thought maybe there was a problem and restarted Splatoon.

Still not open so I double checked the stages and it was 1pm tomorrow

god dammit

Haven't played it for the rest of the day, Salmon Run is the main mode for me.

I wanted solo offline salmon run just to have something else to do besides the single player if I was ever offline

but yeah that wouldn't work at all unless they essentially rebalanced the entire mode to be something that it's not

8 game win streak last night in Turf War. Couldn't match my record in the original game with 9 straight wins, ah well

Also Sheldon takes all the fun out of single player, no I don't want to test this weapon out for you.

It should make the speedrun interesting, at least.

Is there any disadvantage to just jumping into ranked when I get 10 or should I wait and get better?

Get in there! Turf war will only teach you bad habits. Ranked will make you better at Turf War, not the other way around.

If you can, I would go how they were original released: Splat Zones (1 clear objective), Tower Control (1 set moving objective), Rainmaker (1 unpredicatble goal with sub-objectives).

Man this game sure is Splatoon, for better and for worse. The cracks are really starting to show for me - in the single player,
the final boss was mostly disappointing, and they didn't even bother to try and have a twist to it
, and now I can't even play Salmon Run until tomorrow. Being able to bounce between Salmon and regular play worked really well since they insist on keeping the absolutely awful two-stages-at-a-time thing, but now I'm just bored. I really hope they do some QoL improvements with some of the updates, including hopefully keeping Salmon Run open and doing anything other than the awful stage rotation we have to put up with right now.
