3-squid squad squarely squabble in the squalid squelching squall. 130 Profreshional get!

Anyone having a pro controller glitch where the face buttons stop responding and the D-pad and triggers react like they're being held down when they're only pressed? It's happened at least once each time I've played; I either have to wait for the glitch to pass or plug in to use wired mode. It usually happens when I go to the gear selection screen, but a few times it's happened in a match. My character will keep shooting or swimming after I've let go of the triggers and it gets really annoying. If I go to the home menu, the glitch will continue there sometimes, although if I go to the controller test in the settings it works perfectly fine.

I saw someone on gamefaqs with the same problem, and I've never had an issue with the controller in BotW, so I'm wondering if it's a Splatoon 2 specific glitch, but I've never seen anyone here complain about it. It happened in the testfire demo as well. I'm on the verge of sending my pro controller in but I want to be sure it's the problem.

It sucks getting demoted back to 200% every salmon run then if that's the case.

That means I was wrong before when I said the only point of it is increasing your rank if you have no interest in the gear for the main game.

I wish they'd flesh it out more, have no interest in playing a pvp shooter with a controller, salmon run is what's kept me in rather than dropping it instantly like the first game.

my joycons aren't functional with Splatoon 2 in undocked mode. one other person in this thread has reported the same problem as me

my ProCon works 100% fine though

Shit that was a close match. One player dropped out before the 3rd round, so we were down to 3 people, and it was a low tide boss rush with cannons. We managed to get the eggs, and then we tried to run away, but me and another player died before the end. We could only sit and watch as our last teammate jumped and evaded the bosses like a pro until the last second.

This happened to me twice... however I'm fairly certain both times it was because i moved a bag that was carrying my original pro controller. I think it accidentally connected to my switch and was battling for control, because after a couple of seconds of the abnormality, my switch asked which controller I wanted to use.

So you mean the key is to get fast from spawn to said good position?
Yep! You ink a single file line (basically just shoot forward for a sec with your aim tilted up a bit), swim in it, and then repeat. Don't gun towards the enemy base, but the safest you can get to the mid point or high ground. It varies from map to map. Sturgeon Shipyard, for instance, you want to get to the center. Humpback Pump Track, I've found its a good idea to get to your right side as you can see the middle and their spawn.

There is no end-all "go here", and where you want to be will change a lot in each round, but the general gist is to get to a good position ASAP and try to gain control against the enemy. Slowly closing in on them and keeping an eye out for flanks (+not getting wiped lol).

Yeah just cash them in after you're done. No real use in holding onto them.

EDIT:

From the Grizzco Worker's Manual:

"And Don't Worry. Although your job rating will be reset for each new hiring period, you get to keep your title"

Thanks!
I made sure to RTFM between tonight's rounds :p

Skipped sleep to do Salmon run, got up to 175% hit 1200 prize and quit. GG

I can handle Turf War and love Salmon Run but the ranked mode just does nothing for me, I wish they would tighten the stick response so I don't need to flail all over the place in handheld mode, it's not so bad on TV mode but some guns are soo unforgiving accuracy wise.

Motion feels superior but ugh I don't wanna HAVE to use it all the time.

Yeah there been a balancing update of some sort, it says to check the official website for more details but I've not found any yet.

Version 1.1.2
An occasionally occurring issue allowed players to receive gear from the SplatNet Gear Shop with an unintended combination of gear abilities. The combination of abilities for this type of gear has been changed to match those of gear available for purchase in the Inkopolis Square shops.
Fixed an issue that prevented ranking information from displaying properly when viewing “Past Records” for League Battle.
Adjusted the number of points required to fill the special gauge for the following weapons:

Does anyone know if there is a way to see the art you draw on the miiverse thing in game? Like is there a post history? How do I know if it gets a "yeah" or anything? All I know is it posted to Twitter... is there a way to post it without it going to social media?

Hmmm the 12 hour shedules for salmon run are pretty dumb should be 24 or so not half days lol. Really hope they will just make it open for good and have it shedule maps and weapons each day.

I guess I won't connect to internet and try to grab the remaining ones at lunch break ^^"

I was pretty sure they're gonna roll out an update about this today.

Not picking a fight, but I'm not gonna do that as I'm only comfortable abusing game exploits that don't get removed. That said, with the status unknown of the ticket before today I have used it a couple of times, but only ever one at a time so I wouldn't have any extras if it were removed.

Edit: What I am worried about from this update though is them changing gear abilities from spaltnet. Buying things from there should in no way count as an exploit and not removing the excess tickets from an obvious exploit, but changing gear obtained legally doesn't make any sense at all. Especially when spaltnet gear was advertised to have different abilities from the in game shops in the first place.

Managed the rank up to C+ in Splat Zones before time was up and my bar broke. Although, for some reason I am always last on my team no matter how many people I kill.

Thanks, I'll concentrate more on that. I mostly tended to completely ink the spawn.

I don't get Salmon Run. It resets the points I've collected after some time, so basically I should play two hours straight to get the t-shirt? All in the same level with so little variety?

This. Plus a loss takes so much off your meter, and at least half of the games I play our team is one man down which makes things really hard. And then you have the numpties who go off on suicide missions when everyone else is dead, or don't put their egg in the basket for some reason.

I lose more than I win in this. Granted I've only been able to play a few times because of the schedules, but I've never gotten past Part-Timer.

i'm rocking 225% on profreshional atm

lotta close calls but as long as you know when to switch from salmon splatting to saving teammates you're usually golden

Small story mode spoilers: you can actually
hear Callie's voice in some of the singleplayer stages if you listen closely to the music.
i think that's a pretty neat small detail.

Not sure why anyone would want to use that exploit. Even disregarding the boring process of farming, doing it removes a significant part of the game's reward system. Would regret it so hard, lol. But that's just me, of course.

Heh, it's just a x1.5 bonus on exp or gold. I just got a couple of the exp ones when I had none left.

You need to grind through the part-timer bit basically. It seems you can reach that rank fairly easily regardless of ability, so those people who don't really know what to do will start to cause you problems at that point. Once you push through to about 145%+ in my experience it's plain sailing to get to profreshional because everyone knows what they're doing. You won't win every game but you'll rarely lose before round 3 so rarely lose any rank.

I dropped to Overachiever because of a few disconnects playing on a dodgy connection (all during the last 10 seconds of round 3, grr) but was able to go back up pretty much immediately.

But I got stuck for a while around 130-140%. That feels like the point where you need to have people who know what they're doing, and once you're past that point, it's only people who know what they're doing.

You can max the days rewards in Salmon Run pretty quickly once you're lucky enough with teammates to have powered through that barrier.

I have an issue since the update... my orders disappeared (I doubt they were affected by the ability issue) and I can't order anything anymore.

Am I alone in this?
