This. THIS.

FUUUUUUUUUUUU

for friend code list... am i doing this right? probably not

Hey all, quote this post for the Friend Code list. I think Daboss will add it to the OP later.

Please don't share the link with anyone outside of GAF or we'll have to make it private

edit: I found it. sorry guys n gals.

The weapon selection for this run is pretty good. All shooters so everybody's comfortable with what they've got. Also, having two weapons with decent range is a godsend for Steelheads. Have a dumb habit of firing without checking if I'm in range.

Also, I think I'm getting the hang of the Drizzler quick kill. Managed to score three in a single run. :D

Fucking hell Salmon Run is an illegal amount of fun. How does the difficulty work, is it strictly related to rank or is there more to it than that? Friend and I hit Profreshional and are a little worried we've topped out already. Seems like there's a lot of room for the mode to get harder/better.

So jealous a good run with nice weapons is on while at work and ends 3 hours before the day ends:( on the bright side, Splatoon didn't patch for me so I can still grab tickets until I patch later on.

Thank God the Switch is portable, at the very least I can get an hour of Salmon Run in on my lunch break. Played one game this morning. I really like the weapons this time, it's a shame I won't be able to spend much time with them.

Damn i wanna play Salmon Run badly but i currently am at 51 tickets out of 99 lol so another 40 mins of farmin atleast:P

If you're farming for tickets, I hope you're not farming xp tickets. Gold's worth it as Salmon Run isn't always available, but I'm not sure you'll need 1980 games' worth of 1.5x xp. lol

This patch pisses me off, not because of what it did, but because of the implication. That means they are paying enough attention to the community to know that there is a ticket exploit. Which also means they should know about all the gripes about unskippable Pearl and Marina scenes, not being able to switch weapons between matches, not being able to back out of matchmaking, and the issues with playing with friends on the same team. But they ignore all of that shit so they can take away leveling up at a slightly faster rate.

For the love of God Nintendo, make Salmon Run last 24 hours at least. I'm super strapped for cash now and I have to rely on normal Turf War to make money because you set up the Salmon Run times to be completely impossible to do for someone who lives on the East Coast with a 9-5 job.

Yep. Off to work now. At least I got enough to get that shirt.

Agreed the 12 hour shifts are super meh....

Well, it takes 31-32 seconds to get a ticket, so that's not even an hour to hoard 99 anyway...

Got S rank in Splat Zones last night and then in Rainmaker this morning. It's been a frustrating climb with so many teammates who ignore the objective, I won't complain too much since the game has only been out a few days.

Here's my favored equipment for ranked battle. I won't worry too much about customizing until I can actually add my own slots (I'm only level 22 at the moment, so I have a way to go still).

Hi guys! This is my first foray into Splatoon 2 and omg this game is absolutely awesome! I haven't played Salmon Run yet but intend on doing so today. Please feel free to add me, my fc is SW-7843-2359-9589 name is nik0mon.

IMO you should try out Salmon Run sooner rather than later, it's a limited time event (like 5 hours left today) and if you find you love the mode you may regret not starting it sooner once it's gone. It's amazing btw.

I actually get why Nintendo limits how you play with friends.Teaming up with friends and presumably coordinating though discord or something would give you a huge advantage against randoms. They give you a way to play the regular match making with friends that's quite fun imo, its kind of like playing pick up basketball sometimes you're playing with people sometimes against them. But if you want to team up with the squad you should be going up against other groups.

I'm not going to defend map rotations and the random times for salmon run though.

This round of salmon run is good. Mostly since it's not like the other rounds where I was hoping that I didn't get certain weapons. Hopefully they extend it to 24 hours at some point.

I got to play exactly one round of it before I went to work and it just made me even more pissed that it's not up for 24 hours. I don't have to worry about getting a charger against a nighttime rush, or having to try and kill a boss with a carbon roller.

And now I'm doubly pissed because the next one has the inkbrush and the roller, so I know it's going to suck.

My thoughts exactly, playing in a squad which is able to communicate is a huge advantage over random incomunicated squads.

Octobrush is probably gonna get nerfed.

I could see the range maybe being reduced a bit (maybe to Splatoon 1 levels), but I don't think there's anything else about it that could be judged overpowered. Maybe I'm biased since I've been using it for 2 years, of course.

Still, I'm surprised to see so many of them out there. Brush wasn't nearly this popular in Splatoon 1.

Ink Brush is fun, is the Slosher considered to be a good weapon? I kinda like the idea behind it but have not bought it yet.

Good at the right range. It does a ton of damage if you catch them just right, but too close or too far and you're dead. I haven't found it to be great at painting either.

I agree that these are the reasons, and I'm fine with this, but I REALLY miss Splatoon 1 matchmaking... They weren't switching people in a room unless someone left, and in that case, it was only filling the blanks.

I remember playing once a whole 2 hours "shift" with the same guys on Splatoon 1, evveryone was nice, good, and know exactly how to play, it was a bliss.

You need to grind through the part-timer bit basically. It seems you can reach that rank fairly easily regardless of ability, so those people who don't really know what to do will start to cause you problems at that point. Once you push through to about 145%+ in my experience it's plain sailing to get to profreshional because everyone knows what they're doing. You won't win every game but you'll rarely lose before round 3 so rarely lose any rank.

I dropped to Overachiever because of a few disconnects playing on a dodgy connection (all during the last 10 seconds of round 3, grr) but was able to go back up pretty much immediately.

But I got stuck for a while around 130-140%. That feels like the point where you need to have people who know what they're doing, and once you're past that point, it's only people who know what they're doing.

You can max the days rewards in Salmon Run pretty quickly once you're lucky enough with teammates to have powered through that barrier.

Interesting. I am usually around 165-175%. I get 145% if I have a really craptastic team, usually teammates who don't know how to use a weapon (Charger, Roller, Ink Brush). I can't talk about I suck with an Ink Brush.

how many maps does salmon run actually have? i only know the spawning grounds and the ship

i wish it followed the two map rotation but that depends on how many actual maps there are
