it's GOAT on fries.

It is, it's absolute standard in all over Europe.

Great choice from Nintendo for the first Splatfest, it still amazes me how complete different the other half of the planet (USA) still thinks about mayo.

I don't understand how the point sensors are supposed to work. They never seem to do anything for me.

Throw on enemy to track his location.

Yeah this, but it's not the kit that has me feeling lukewarm about it. It's moreso the weapon itself.

It plays like a slightly inaccurate Dual Squelcher and the ttk is longer than expected. I may need to give it more time in the next few days I suppose.

What? Interesting. I guess this splatfest is relevant to Americans and Europeans alike.

As much as I love Salmon Run, the current weapon selection is absolute shit. I have not managed to make it through a single three wave run this morning :(

Oh and since I'm not sure who on the list even plays actively. I guess it might be easier to just post my friends code here. Feel free to add me.

And also, Team Mayo all the way!

Had a strange glitch last night, all 8 people joined the lobby, but instead of the battle starting, the timer continued counting down to zero. Had to try again.

PS - Mayo for life!

The only current weapon remotely suited for Salmon Run is the roller, but in a support role. The splatling and blaster require expert use to do anything, and the inkbrush user might as well not exist.

Guys does anyone else have this problem:

When I boot up the game and I'm standing in inkopolis square, (joycon motion controls on) the camera starts slowly rotating 360 degrees on its own. I try to wait it out. Sometimes it stops eventually and I can just adjust the camera back behind my inkling, but other times it'll just keep rotating in circles without ever stopping, despite not moving the joycon.

It's really annoying cause it makes aiming with motion a fight against the controls and camera, as it's constantly moving in its own direction.

(It also did this when aiming with a bow in Zelda. It would just constantly keep drifting to one side, but I mistakenly thought it was just the game's fault rather than the controller)

Anyone know how to fix this or do I need to send in my joycons to Nintendo?

There is an option to calibrate motion controls via the main Switch menu if you haven't tried that?

Is it common to go from C- straight to B-? I'm not very good at the game and that just happened.

No wonder ppl from B are complaining, if it's so easy to get there.

The fountain one in Salmon Run is a new one. Took us off guard.

I hate that one, at least on the ship level. I'm starting to think it's not even possible at Profreshional.'

I did it in Tower Control and Splat Zones. Not Rainmaker though. Frankly I think the dumbest teams I've been on so far have all been at Tower Control in B ranks.

"Oh what's that? We're 3 points from victory with the tower and 20 seconds remain and you were pushing it but died? And all 3 of us are still alive and close to the tower? Ok, we'll continue attempting to spawn kill the enemy and ignore the guy who snuck through and is currently pushing the tower back to mid".

I prefer the suicidal C rank people throwing themselves at the damn thing.

something weird's going on....

i can't connect anymore to the online app on my smartphone... i already linked my account and it worked fine since wednesday, but now it ask me to link it again, and when i do, it always come back to the first menu in the app where it ask me to connect it.... again and again...

EDIT : found the solution, just clear the cache of the app and it workded

I'm finally getting the groove of the current weapons in Salmon Run. The key player is the inkbrush holder.

I hate that one, at least on the ship level. I'm starting to think it's not even possible at Profreshional.

It's really hard. Collecting eggs on that mode is very hard.

So, new dualies.

My first impression is that they're quite bad, personally.

It's essentially a straight trade of fire rate in favour of range. The thing is that the dualies don't feel suited to ranged combat at all because you have 2 crosshairs.

Compared to "standard" ranged weapons like the squelcher, they may have a higher fire rate, but both larger spread and have to deal with the 2 crosshairs thing. Even in the testing range I could tell that I was missing a lot more shots against targets because of the 2 crosshairs.

At close ranges, the crosshairs don't matter since they'll likely both easily be on your target and you won't be missing many shots that a single shooter would be missing. At long ranges the deadzone of sorts between the crosshairs becomes more and more of a problem since you can get to a point where at the edge of these things range, pretty much only a small part of each crosshair can be over your target at a time. The number one thing I want from a ranged weapon is consistency and these strike me as being very inconsistent.

So at range you've got inconsistent damage, and lower damage than any other ranged shooter as far as I know. And you've traded off your close range shooting potential to get it.

So you're left with a weapon which is ok at close range but worse than regular dualies, and ok at long range but worse than other weapons intended for that range. Jack of all trades, master of none. I don't think it's a worthwhile trade to give up one of the dualies strongest aspects in favour of being merely ok at range, personally.

IMO you'll be better off picking regular dualies or a regular ranged shooter. But maybe I need to use them more but mostly it's been an experience of losing fights at close range I'd have won with normal dualies and losing fights at long range I'd have won with shooters.

If it's what I think it is, just lay your controller down somewhere for maybe 5-7 seconds. That should cause them to stop drifting. IIRC, it's a glitch or something related to coming out of sleep mode.

I was walking around the Plaza and I finally found the person who drew that awesome Ann drawing from Persona 5. Her name is Erika.

Also just realized that Marina and Pearl are in that white building in the plaza and they're just talking.

Also hope some off the closed off sections in the plaza turn into actual areas. That downstairs alley has to lead to something!

Had a great run last night. Went 36 -14 on my last 50. This game is so fun (i know easy for me to say when winning)

Im looking forward to trying the new guns out this afternoon.

I cant decide mayo/ketchup. I really dont use either much at all. May have to close my eyes and choose randomly lol

Is the tri-slosher as much bullshit as it seems? I can deal, but it seems a little too much.

I was thinking on moving to this bucket as my main. Ive been using the aerospray a lot and all the lobbies i get into lately, the majority all use aerosprays. Its kind of ridiculous how much i see them. I just wanna break up the monotony.

If that doesn't work, go into settings and recalibrate motion control. Works every time.

The stupid timer for Salmon Run is really starting to annoy me. I've tried to play a few times the last few nights after I get in from work and put kids to bed and it's always closed.

Current and future one all run for 24 hours at least, so there's bound to be a few you can make soon. Today's runs until 1am!
