As soon as someone has the rainmaker. The focus should automatically be them. Either killing everyone around them or inking the path. Ideally path focused killing

The Flyfish is hands down the most obnoxious enemy type I can think of in a long while. It has range, it takes two bombs which are the absolute most demanding resource in this mode (in fact I think bombs require more ink than normal), has limited vulnerability with a goofy hitbox.

I absolutely loathe dealing with them.

Lol? Nope. They look more human like (as in flesh no fur) and have no fur unless their hair tentacles count?

Sure they have a animal form but ehhh a squid is no furrie (same for octolings). This is like saying medusa or mermaids are furries:P

Yeah.... I enjoyed those more i have nothing against people that like furries tho but i don't think it fits in Splatoon tbh.

Nothing wrong with a few drawings but the whole plaza is full of em these few days.

Nintendo even made an anthro squid for you to use!

I love it personally. Spreads ink fast and has pretty nice range. Coupled with curling bomb and Baller, it's a force to be reckoned with in good hands.
 
The spawn rate for Flyfish is through the roof today. That and spawning a Stinger at both sides of the map at the same time. >=(

EDIT: The way these Smallfry knock you back you'd think they're One Punch Man.

EDIT 2: I'm not even on Profreshional anymore and this Salmon Run is still being an asshole. The Flyfish are absolutely the worst and the gunk they spread may as well be super glue considering how much it slows you down.
 
Props to Nintendo for this game.

Never played on Wii U and was not sold on the test fire. I've now had the game for a week and am absolutely hooked. It's so much fun and so easy to pick up. Ranked battles are fucking awesome and Salmon Run is the perfect mode.

Keep it up, Nintendo!
 
This is a little nit-picky but I wish they would spawn you in a different area in the plaza. Maybe more towards the middle. It really gets tiresome having to run to cash in rewards at Grizzco and to get to Murch. They're the only two places without warps in the menu. I go to each one whenever I get a prize in salmon run or enough money to buy a splatnet order which is frequent. I could just learn to wait and horde money but having splatnet items on timers cranks up my stress levels
 
My biggest problem with Flyfish (and Stingers for that matter) is the fact that they pretty much don't move at all and stay at the ends of the map which means we have to go out of our way defeat them and collect the eggs.
 
Well I just rage quit a match.

Had a player come over the side of Pumptrack and start bombing exactly where I was in a tiny puddle of ink amongst a mass of theirs. There was no one around, no one had point sensors and there was no reason to use a bomb.

Was already stacked against us with the dogshit matchmaking and that was the last fucking straw.
 
So, uh, what am I missing about the rapid blaster? It still doesn't do great damage, has okayish range, requires a direct hit and has a mediocre fire rate...? It was a trashfire in the first game, but now everyone is using it?

The maps in this game have really abusable sight lines.
 
I wish you could choose what kind of in-game music to listen to during battles.

I need my daily dose of final battle themes. Especially
phase 2
