Microsoft needs more exclusives throughout the year

I actually think you are being overly sensitive and acting a bit too emotional. I made it clear it was my opinion and argued with that in mind. The reactions by some on the other hand was just nasty.

Not everyone is as invested as some people when it comes to their favorite brands and consoles and feel a need to lash out at people who think differently.

If you change your mind I still got 5 hanging.

I understand people having passions for their hobbies or their sports teams, their favorite cars. But what I don't understand is, why the need to disparage others for not having the same passion, or the same likes or dislikes? It just doesn't make any sense.

I prefer to play and own all the gaming systems. If I could, I would own and drive every car, competing or not competing, that I could. And if I had time to enjoy more than one sports team, I probably would. I am a Packers fan through and through, but if they fail, I make time to support the Viking or Bears into the Superbowl. No reason to HATE them or their fans. It's all a hobby we love and enjoy.

Why would you remove Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which is a full-fledged game? Why not include Matterfall or Everybody's Golf?

NeoGAF is so weird with its, "These games don't count," arguments.
 
They're so laser focused on the holidays that the few exclusives they have they focus on that time period and they under perform due to how crowded it is. They need to realize that games can be successful at any time this year.

I sold mine to put towards a new GPU. Once they announced they were putting all of their games on PC I decided to sell it. I still have my 360 though, because I've got a ton of digital games for it.
 
Since Microsoft started putting their first/second party games on PC, I've been much more interested in their output. I too would like to see more from them, but they seem like they won't release or reveal stuff until their ready now. All the recent delays and cancellations were a bad look.

So until otherwise, Microsoft gonna Microsoft.

Id disagree with that i think he tried the show early and rush approach and got burnt. As of now we should be playing
1) Fable Legends
2) Phantom Dust reboot
3) Scalebound
4) A more polished recore

I am not denying it failed but the attempt was made and now he stated that hes not rushing anymore and hes not announcing titles until they are ready to be. So in my opinion there has been no miscommunication.

Funny thing is you're using argumentative tactics that are rather transparent. Framing the other person as emotional or sensitive to help your own argument. You truly have no clue as I'm not the least bit invested and mostly pop in to these threads to see the lengths at which people do get invested or twist points to help their own arguments.

You'll never get that five as we are speaking on a forum and I'm not one to give imagination high fives to people derailing or muddying conversation. I don't believe I've spoken with you or Hedon before which is curious as I've been here a few years, not that long though really.

Well thing is, from currently MS's vision, they're not primary want you buy their console(s), they just want to get your money, so as long as you buy their games, it's fine you think Xbox console is not worth it, because the reason of you think it's not worth it is you can and planning to get their games on PC.

And i think the reason of why they're playing safe in software(games), is because they need a game that guarantee profit, so i assume the only way they're going to make AAA new IP, or bringing old AAA IP that a not shooter back is when they have enough profits, and i think that could take pretty long time, but at the same time, since they're playing safe, the Xbox brand will exist for very long time(sorry about that if anyone want Xbox die in short time lol).

Lol it's what they say every year "let's wait until 20XX before we start complaining". They announced the Xbox One X with no, zero, none, new exclusives... I think that might be a hint about what MS think about exclusives...

I love how you specified "first party". For "me" and the games that interest me, the only thing I need my PS Pro for is GT Sport, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn. Then again, UC 1, 2 and 3 are all available to play on PC now so I assume UC4 will be there soon too. I can get No Man's Sky on PC, I can get Hellblade on PC (and probably Xbox), I can get Street Fighter V on PC, Death Stranding on PC, Lawbreakers on PC (and probably Xbox), I can get Nier Automata on PC. Just examples, not all the games obviously.

Totally forgot that Sony games efforts will cease to exist after 2017. God Of War, Spiderman... all these don't exist or somehow coming to PC.

And funny how you "need" GT Sport, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn, but you miss out on "nothing" if go with PC/Xbox/Switch combo.

It worked for them precisely ONCE (2014) and only because of their insane deals that let the XB1 sell cheaper than the PS4.

And yet they keep doing it! I have a feeling this "Only Holidays Matter" mindset might be coming from Nadella or someone up top. As bad as I think Spencer has been managing the Xbox brand (yes, bad. Great Savior my ass), I don't think he would ever force a game plan as stupid as this.

In my dealings with fanboys on Twitter there's an awful lot of these "These games don't count" qualifiers. And a lot of people only seem to think that games released around September-December are significant.

According to patcher, a few big hits on MS are worth more than most of those exclusive games combined from a MS profit motive perspective.

I can't necessarily disagree with him on that at all, but it doesn't allure me to Xbox at all. Once i gave up on the Xbox brand, they haven't given me any real reason to come back, even if i wanted to.

I didn't even remember those last two when I made that initial list that was refuted, and those might even be as good as Tacoma and Super Lucky's Tale.

I really don't get some people. I imagine he has no PS4 or has a need to defend the Xbox.

As a fan, I am really excited about what the XOX is, but so bummed about the lack of exclusive content.

It's also weird how one can't miss out on Xbox games, when not all Xbox games are not on PC nor will be. Double standards, it sounds like.

I mean, outside of some early-gen titles on the Xbox One, that post is pretty accurate. And even if it doesn't hold true in the future, it's certainly more accurate than this:

That's a fairly accurate statement, though. There's around 30 xbox one games not available anywhere else. And a large portion of those are kinect. Playstation has more exclusives that that.

I mean, it's obvious that saying "you miss out on nothing" is not only hyperbolic, but inaccurate. However if there's a combo that puts you in a position where you miss the less games is that one.

If you replace the PS4 with an Xbone in that combo, you miss on a whole lot more.

Of course, that would be the ideal scenario (you get most Xbone games on PC now though), but the reality is that most people don't buy all consoles, and if two consoles are similar, it's the PS4 and Xbone. That means that many people have to pick one or the other, and going with the PS4 would get you a lot more games to pick from.

And the reality is that most people don't have gaming PC's nor want to spend the money to buy one. That leaves you with three consoles with a lot of exclusive games.
