This weekend's trials map for Countdown was good. The layout of the map gives some nice engagement options but visualy the map is awful for finding enemies, so much gold and foliage shit some times i was staring someone in the face without realizing it was an enemy. Seems like next trials weekend is gonna be survival unfortunately, ugh.

Before i got to work i decided to do flashpoint and clan milestones to see if i could get my warlock to 305.
First PE, taken blights. Me and some random guy. Unfortunately he had no idea how to trigger heroic and kept shooting the blights. No problem. I had wardcliff. Triggered heroic, killed the boss, open the ch... Game crashed.
Godammit. I never had a game crash so often on ps4. It's insane.
I had to solo most of the PEs. Sometimes it's easy. Sometimes it's a pain. I'll dread doing PEs on PC. If it's this bad on ps4...
Shout out to that third damn servitor. I'll get you next time you fuck!

I'm 95% certain it's an instancing issue. I'Ve had no-one around only to fast travel away and back to jump in on five or six guardians doing it. Sometimes you get stuck in an instance solo for some reason.

Yeah, "Merciless this, Merciless that" the Coil cleans up just about everything.
I'll add the 5% as I'm 100% positive it is although I'm not sure it's 100% unavoidable due to various reasons.

The taken blights prove to me that Bungie was right about not including matchmaking in the raids. I would be shooting at those big blights for several minutes and my teammates would just go in the bubble, completely fucking ignore what i am doing and destroy the small blights. So not only do i have to worry about the timer, worry about doing massive damage to that big blight all by myself, worry about the taken trying to kill me, i have to contend with idiots who are completely fucking clueless.
Last night, I did run into this one group of four guys who were on point with every heroic trigger. We killed the Cabal ship before it even arrived at the public event. we took out the blight within 30 seconds and then destroyed the boss in the next five. the game kept me with those guys despite me fast traveling from one sector to next. it was hilarious how we would melt the boss in five seconds every time.
but every other taken public event last week was ridiculously frustrating because of idiots.
Last night's crucible quest was rage inducing too. three out of the five games pit me against clans. i won two, lost three but every loss was by like 60 points. one time the game put me in a game that was 10-60 against a clan. why wasnt mercy rule activated? we went to time in that game. why? Even games I won i hated playing because every death i had i was getting team shotted. every game feels like trials now. sweaty try hards with their Midas. jumping around with their clan mates in sync while my random teammates literally turn around and run while i am ADS trying to shoot people.
When no one is around i fast travel to the same location. In rare occasions i find other guardians.
I can solo all public events. But when you lose add control and keep dying it's infuriating.
Another weird thing that happened to me a couple of times near exodus black. Sometimes there's a public event going on but i can't see it. The ether supply event.
I see guardians jumping around, shooting. But there's nothing there. It usually fixes itself midway through the event.
And you can one shot ventilation shafts, glimmer generators and 3 or 4 shots will take down the taken blight.
And the irony is they probably think you're the noob.
I dont use it.
Im super salty that Bungie brought the gun back for D2 and I curse when I see full fireteams using it in Trials.
Id be a massive hypocrite if I used it myself.

What exploit? I thought you could continue to rank up any faction but fwc was the only one that still rewarded weapons/gear past level 30? The other two just did shaders or something...

"In The Garden of Suros by I. Ron Banner" is still the best OT title of D1 by a wide margin.
Bungie need to fix their instancing, it's make the worlds feel empty and lonely like D1 all over again.
Maybe it's getting fixed during today's patch. Out of the 5 chests, I got one completely empty and another with two crappy Cayde items. Wouldn't be so bad if the items were worth something but 100 glimmer a piece is a poor return for what I paid in the first place!

I am unfortunately starting to feel this way too. I want the random rolls on gear/weapons, cross-character infusion, etc to come back. as well
Hell, I wish this was just an expansion to Destiny.
Give me my damn cool class items back as this new stuff is boring and putrid.
And more than anything I'd rather play any of the four actual Raids from Destiny compared to whatever the hell that thing is in Destiny 2.
Bungle, please add more varied perks like the D1 ones as mods please.
Please. Mod system has so much potential. Just needs more variation and uniqueness.

Apparently no one "won" the faction rally since fwc was glitched and allowed people to gain rewards past rank 30
Faction rally - FWC kept giving engrams out after the first 30 when the others stopped so people had way more reason to farm more FWC tokens and hand them in than any other faction.

I'm still confused on this as well... And my question was skipped over apparently. Do we know for a fact Bungie went by engrams or did they go by the actual rank up level? I'd assume the level, therefore no cheating was actually done.
(not that any of this really matters anyway, lol)
How many people really exploited that?
Everyone I know is a DO edgelord. I didn't even get to 30 for FWC.

Man, been farming stupid strikes and doing raid x3 for two weeks looking for either curtain call or sins of the past.
Just did NF and got 300 curtain call from the milestone, then a 296 curtain call from zavala package, then a 300 curtain call from clan engram. What are the odds? As Shaxx says "I loooooovvvee it"

I really hope they took the extra time to make improvements from the beta. Mostly graphical options, and changes to settings that seemed to significantly drop FPS>
I've said this before, but if they are able to add TAA as an aliasing option I would be very happy (hate jaggies). That along with an option to double tap the jump button to perform a hunter doge, or warlock air move would be very nice.
I'm think I'm going to shelve the PS4 game for a bit, unless there is an event that happens prior to PC release (IB?) I feel pretty comfortable where I'm at with my character progress.
Time to hit that steam backlog again.

MSAA is known to be a bug and is definitely going to be fixed, and the graphics options are already good as it is, I don't see anything that needs immediate attention.
Also class abilities are mapped to one single button press, which is far easier than any double tap so I don't understand why that is needed on PC.

It looks like there might be something hidden on the Annihilator level, so that's probably why they repeated. There's a few hidden rooms in the level at the very least.
Alright I'm stumped. I hit 265 and like every guide I've read, I proceeded to turn in all my shit, tokens, marks, planetary doodads, etc. equipping better stuff as I went along and ended at... 266. WTF?
On the bright side I have a shitload of legendary shards (over 100). Did I do something wrong? I haven't run the Nightfall (last week or this one) since I wanted to be at least 270-280 so I'd feel like I could contribute. Is it just a slow grind to push my gear score up now?
Also if any XBone clans need another member I'm available. My brother and I play pretty much daily.
