If they can remotely deliver on the horror premise then Doctor Strange could be fantastic. The last one just did not do it for me, and Doctor Strange is one of my top five of all time Marvel Icons so will look forward to some redemption.
 
Really just Dr. Strange for me. I'm not a huge Eternals fan but I might catch it if they don't change Ikaris' sexuality.

Shang Chi is kind of a wait see. Tony Leung as the Mandarin is great but Awkafina is bloody annoying and I have little faith in them shooting the action properly. A good trailer might turn me around.

I won't be seeing Thor.

Not that interested in Black Widow. The MCU version is alright but it's never really grabbed me.

Not sure about Guardians since I can't stand the Thor/Guardians dynamic.
 
I can't choose a single film.

I'm excited about Black Widow because I want to see the "John Wick"ess fight scenes that have been mentioned. And I have grown to love her character over the last few films she has been in. I bet any money that Taskmaster will be a woman, and I don't care.

I'm excited about Eternals because I don't know much about them apart from it being written by Kirby and Gaiman. The series hasn't had very many issues, the characters aren't well now and so I think it's the perfect film to mess around with diversity. Interested to see how the deaf actor goes in the film.

Shang Chi I'm excited for because I love martial arts flicks and something tells me this will be shot well. There is also the Ten Rings connection and Mandarin, will be great to get closure on that arc. And I guess an Asian fighting an Asian would be better than a white man fighting and beating an Asian in this day and age.

Doctor Stranges multiverse? C'mon, how can this not excite you? I want to see what worlds we see and I want to see how they pull off their own PG13 horror. AND I can't wait to see what Wanda does in this film, she is co-heading the film!

Thor's Love Thunder, love the comic book story and so can't wait to see this on screen. Natalie Portman wasn't gerat in Thor 1 and 2 but I won't hold that against her as that was old Marvel Studios under corporate finger. I think she'll come in to this film with guns a blazing and inspired. Taika has probably written a good script for her to work with and that is probably why she has returned, she is no longer the simple "love interest". I just really hope the God Btcher is in this film too.

Phase 5 Blade, Ali is an incredible actor and I can't wait to see how he goes in an action film, respect to him for approaching Marvel for the role. Don't care if it's PG13, compare Del Toro's PG13 Hellboy films to the new Hellboy film, R doesn't automatically = better film.

And the damn TV shows, much to look forward to there as well.
 
If I had to pick one, it's be Thir just because I ice what Taika did with Ragnarok.

They really sold me on Disney+. I wasn't going to subscribe but now I have to.
 
does anyone find it odd that Doctor Strange seems to be the most cosmic of the phase 4 movies.

is this true to the character?
 
Waititi made Ragnarok great and I'll have faith it won't be awful with Portman Thor. I wish GotG 3 wasn't so far off to see Thor with them.

Black Widow could be neat, but should have happened years ago though.

Blade and even that is kinda ehhh. After Endgame I feel like it's the right time to tap out, feels like they're starting to scrap a bit low in the barrel for new characters.
 
None of those since I have no clue about the comics/story/lore so I'll go with what I love and know and that is Guardians of The Galaxy 3 and Spiderman 3 though I believe those are phase 5.
 
Im not really very interested in any of them, but Thor Ragnarok was very good, so maybe the new Thor will be too?
Black Widow is getting a bit old, I dont know who Shang Chi and the Eternals are and Dr Strange as a character, doesnt seem all that cool to me (though the fight between him and Thanos' minion in Infinity War was very good).
 
I'm gonna be disappointed if Doctor Strange doesn't hint at the X-Men or Mutants in general to set them up for phase 5.

Using the Multiverse to bring them into the MCU makes the most sense to me and with Wanda in the film as well I'm hoping that someone recognises her as a Mutant from their universe and makes reference to her Father.

Don't set yourself up for disappointment. This is a 50/50 scenario. They don't require the multiverse to bring in mutants.
Mutants could have started to rise after Infinity War from the gamma radiation caused by the snap. Mutants may have been around already for a long time, just extremely rare and the snap radiation expedited the process of mutation. There could be other reasons for the 5 year time gap in Endgame. Many things could have happened in that time frame.
Xavier and Magneto are 2 of those rare cases. In 2019 when the snap happens teenagers start to "activate" and Xavier opens his mansion as a school, so by 2024 we have some teenagers old enough to be a team and go on missions.

Just like the comics randomly introduced mutants in the 60's, you can do the same for the films. It doesn't need a convoluted explanation for it happening.

Yeah this is all true.
I just like the X-Men and want to see them hinted at to build excitement but I appreciate where you're coming from.

I'm still going to see all of them, but seeing a modern American Kung Fu movie in the MCU? Count me in!

Also, I love that they hired a deaf actress as one of the Eternals.... Not sure how that's going to work but I'm excited to see!

And I'm definitely getting Disney+!

Ragnarok was a lot of fun so if it's the same people involved it should be great. Portman wasn't great in first 2 movie but maybe now that she will be given a bigger (and probably more fun) role things might change.

Dr Strange does also sound intriguing with its focus on horror, hopefully they make something cool with it and not just Dr Strange + some jumpscares.
 
Love and Thunder. Ragnarok is my favorite Marvel film.

I want to be excited for Black Widow, but I fear by the time it releases the only acceptable way to portray the character will be slightly overweight in sweatpants.

Edit: just saw that Valkyrie coming out as gay will be a major plot point in Love and Thunder. I need to change my vote.

Dr strange. Especially since it's going for a gothic horror tone which should lend well to the earlier comics of dr strange. Be nice to see marvel movies break formula for once they have been using for a long time now. Much as I like them they all feel very much similar. I wasn't a fan of the 3rd thor movie but I did enjoy how it felt different than the others.

I haven't read every arc, not even close, but do to his mystic nature, the character definitely reaches cosmic levels of relevance for sure, or at least dimensional relevance.
 
Is everything in that timeline image a movie? I saw a comment today stating half of them are TV shows, but I didn't look into it.

I am getting more excited for what they end up doing with Wanda. I know WandaVision is a show but whatever it sets up for Dr. Strange should be exciting. It is sounding like they are going to start expanding her powers to be more like the comics?
 
I loved Ragnarok so I guess the next Thor. But I'm probably most curious about the next Dr Strange. Marvel bringing in a horror element could be interesting.
 
Bit of a toss between Thor and Dr Strange. Multiverse stuff has me the most interested.

Also the "what if..." Animated stuff sounds cool.

Not sure but it's well known she was really pissed about the director change and not having the meatier role she was promised so I dont think she really needs to say anything. She gets a pass from the feminist types for the sleight and the people that inexplicably dont like her were just going to complain even if she gave an oscar worthy performance anyway.
 
Another random question:

Has She-Hulk ever been mentioned by anyone? Is she even on MCU radar? I would have been more excited for She-Hulk than The Mighty Thor (Jane Foster). I'm excited either way, don't get me wrong.
 
Maybe she'll prove me wrong, but when I think Lady Thor, Natalie Portman just doesn't fit that bill for me. Too tiny, and not a fan of her with blond hair.

Not sure I care much at all about Phase 4, End Game was a nice step off point for me, Dr. Strange could be interesting, cause I like Scarlett Witch, I'd maybe see Black Widow on cheap movie night even though being a prequel there really doesn't seem like there's much of a point.

Guardians 3 will bring me back, and maybe Fantastic 4 depending on casting

I went with Dr. Strange as the horror angle has me interested but the others are close behind it with the exception of Black Widow. I would have been more excited for a BW movie in Phase 2 or 3, now with already knowing how her story ends I don't feel the need to see anything added to it. It could still be a good movie but it's doubtful as a prequel it will have much impact on the MCU.

I'm not sure of the exact details, but there's some issue with another film company partially owning the Hulk rights hence why Ruffalo's Hulk has yet to get a solo film. Not sure if She-Hulk is also tangled up in these rights issues, but just something to keep in mind.
