I'm interested to see how Halo stacks up on Series X over X.
Given that's their 'big' launch title it really needs to go all out but I feel most people will not see enough of a jump to warrant the price difference / upgrade if they already own an X.
I guess series X will be:
60fps / 4K / Raytracing
for £499.99
And X will be:
60fps / 1440p
For £199.00
That's a resolution bump and RT for ££299... That's a pretty hard sell.
If you add Lockhart into the mix you might see:
60fps / 4K
For £349.00
I honestly don't know what MS are doing with this strategy. If those performance predictions are pretty much correct the Series X will be a bit of a hard sell imo.

There's no way to compare that until after launch. Why? Because the games shown during Sony and Microsoft's events won't be the same due to marketing partnerships with the publishers.
And let me tell you, there's no point in comparing the graphics of, let's say, Elden Ring (Microsoft) and the new Batman game (Sony) because those are two really different games made by two different developers.
Significantly better textures, framerate and resolution and graphics that look real. I think the biggest change will be the lack of load times and games being immediate.
Seems like we'll definitely be getting a few newly announced games.
I don't want your idea of new great ips if you don't like Halo.Never liked Halo, im hoping for new great ips. On this show for third parties, expecting Bats to show up, and a few surprises come on!

Nah. Its a handful of rabid fanboys that troll thread after thread.Should be banned for ignorant remarks like that. This place has really gone to shit.

Get rid of these and you will have a forum with better quality discussion.
Regular Inside Xbox is like 45 minutes. If anything like that I'd bet on an hour. I hope it's much longer and full of surprises though.Any idea how long the event might be? An hour? Or 90 minutes like they do at E3? I bet the bigger showcase in June might be 90 minutes-ish long!

If the Xbox event on Thursday has a pre-show hosted by Gamefest it could mean it's more exciting than we think.Dates for more shows from Keighley tomorrow and we finally get to see games on Thursday, going to be one hell of a week.
Lucky for you it's a 3rd party event. The only downside to this event is that any Series X exclusives that get teased won't come out for another 2 years at the very least.
I just realized the title of this thread is extremely misleading.Lucky for you it's a 3rd party event.
No need to get hyped or disappointed.
Same games will be out on the PS4 and PS5.
Hooray.
How so?I just realized the title of this thread is extremely misleading.
Eh who'd expect no first party games at a platform holders event? I think it's worth clarifying. How so?
If you bother to read the OP before commenting the information is obviously there.
If you choose to reply to the headline, that's on you.
Pretty sure they did, awfully quick, and at least a week before you commented on it.Eh who'd expect no first party games at a platform holders event? I think it's worth clarifying.
We both know probably half the people who enter a thread read the OP, if that.Pretty sure they did, awfully quick, and at least a week before you commented on it.
The fact that they have enough 1st party titles to do a separate event really says where their head is at right now.
It's a ban able offence to not read the OP (Or at least it used to be)We both know probably half the people who enter a thread read the OP, if that.
Either way it does no harm clarifying. It's a ban able offence to not read the OP (Or at least it used to be)
Don't think Geoff has anything to do with this one, unless they shoehorn him in.Either way it does no harm clarifying.
More on topic: I'm excited to see what they show. I hope Geoff does a preshow or aftershow. I love hearing from the devs.
He's going to host his own broadcasts through Summer Game Fest or whatever. Some will definitely be in anticipation or after events.Do t think Geoff has anything to do with this one, unless they shoehorn him in.
Not sure why that matters.Lucky for you it's a 3rd party event.
K then. Not sure why that matters.
I said Series X exclusives, not 1st party exclusives.
Sony's messaging has been shit thus far so Sony only gamers will finally get to see something interesting beyond cardboard cutouts
Well then most gamers are kinda blind from gaming all day. Just watch back and you see those are just people. You can see them moving...
Creative guy from deepsilver.Who is that?
Well yeah it's only 3rd party... So before you're going to be even more disappointed this means no Forza, Fable, Hellblade, etc.I just saw a video that showed a tweet by someone official officially stating no Halo on Thursday. RPS am cry.
Idk what in the actual fuck you were trying to say lmao. Someone mentions sony and there you are, babbling off some random nonsense![]()
IIRC when the event was first announced the rumor was it was "mostly" third party. I dunno tho. I haven't been keeping that up to date with this stuff if you couldn't tell.Creative guy from deepsilver.
