Ironic, PS5 is bigger but it's the Xbox Series X I would actually have trouble with placing it next to my TV

Cracking start.
Looks bad, I mean yes is an indie but oh boyQuantum Error doesn't look great. Hopefully it makes up for it in quality scares. Good horror doesn't need stunning visuals. Movies have proven this.

Looking forward to the Digital Foundry breakdown. Can't wait for a monotone voice to be disappointed in pixel count and rAy-tRAcIng.
All jokes aside, it does look nice. Wonder what kind of upgrade we'll see once they finally drop PS4/Xbox One support. Granted I haven't played a COD game since Black Ops 2, so I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Anyway, I want a sim heavy revival of SOCOM: US Navy Seals. Don't agree? Come at me.
Right, here we go again..
Thanks for telling us what Geoff already said.
I would be too having to look at that haircut.Geoff looks ... a little .... ill.
Bah. Always one guy.
I don't think it's a bad thing you defending the XSX as a PS5 fan. It was just your sweeping statement that 'no one believes that the PS5 is more powerful than the XSX'. I guess it's the ambiguity in your definition between the paper specs power and true performance and speed I didn't getYou're not understanding me, willing or unwillingly. On paper, the Series X is more powerful, no matter how you twist it. In practice however, that power may not translate linearly, and it may actually perform worse than the PS5. These are all assumptions, of course, so let's be objective: based on the released specs so far, the PS5 is the least powerful console, albeit with the fastest GPU and SSD.
These are facts, not opinions.
And I didn't ignore anything, I've been consistent saying that the PS5 is the better piece of hardware and will (arguably, for now) be more efficient than the Xbox, having, if nothing more, some notable pluses on the streaming side.
That said, you seem to be under the impression that while I'm a playstation fan, that I'm somehow trying to defend the Xbox (like that was a bad thing). No. I'm trying to prevent people from spreading BS as facts.
Now, my opinion: while there's a 15 to 20% delta between theoretical GPU numbers, my guess is that real world results in third party games will be around shadow maps / resolution and maybe anti aliasing, at most. As for first party games, Sony will most likely take the cake for best looking games, again.
Just a reminder that we had a vetted comment from a 3rd party dev about 10 boxes (TFLOPS) doing the same job as 12 and even better due to the efficiencies and innovations made with Sony's hardware. I'm not really surprised we're seeing so much eye-candy with RTX to boot from team blue here.
You're really taking that much stock on the 12TF figure above everything else?
Now I'm not saying the PS5 will definitely perform better in multiplat titles, but come on. It's entirely possible the performance egde could go either way right... right?
The problem is taking too much stock in theoretical paper specs over real world performance. Sure one system has a higher raw compute, but does it hit those peaks on average in actual performance is the question.
He did say PS5 exclusive, sounds like R&C.Oooh it sounds like we may see that PS5 demo on the ONL stream after all.
Knack 3: The Revenge of CernyGeoff downplaying the hell out of this show means some HUGE PS5 surprises... lets all get excited!
