I want to see the boot speed but if not definitely the UI into game and show a couple of titles loading in 2 seconds or less. 2 should be the max really it depends if said games use oodle texture or other ways in which it loads in a second. Just throw us a few good examples. A few quick BC games examples too.
Then games games games and maybe end with a brief system fly through revealing a few more features and surprises that were rumoured and then end with price.
I think this show is going to put to bed a few more doubts, just like previously, where people thought PS5 cant do this or that and ends up doing 4k60 just like XSX.
A lot of L's have been taken already by those doubters from the Xbox side, another will be if some features turn our correct and for eg Horizon forbidden west was indeed gameplay in some parts.

I was searching websites for a 4K TV with optical output supporting 5.1 surround because I was tired with my TV's fake surround/actually 2.0 stereo system ... and I stumbled upon a website which had detailed descriptions of TVs which support 5.1 surround sound via their optical port ...
AND MY TV WAS NOTED TO HAVE ONE!!
So I get back on my TV's settings as well as PS4 Pro's settings, fiddling with the options, and I FINALLY MANAGED TO ACTIVATE 5.1 SURROUND VIA HDMI ARC JUST LIKE YOU SAID (an option which was greyed out last time I fiddled with the options)!!
I can now experience both a PS5 as well as a Series X with true surround sound via my TV! No reason to buy expensive soundbars, defective HDMI splitters which break down after a couple of weeks, or new AV/Receivers!!
I AM TRULY NEXT GEN READY WITH 4K/60Hz (yeah, no 120 Hz) AND 5.1 SURROUND SOUND - LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

There was talk of the PS5 getting a minor specs bump after the Road to PS5 event. Some people including myself were left disappointed after it was revealed that the PS5 would top out at 10 TFLOPS compared to XSX's 12 TF.
I was hoping for an increase in CU count from 36 to 40, personally.

A spec bump probably isn't even possible due to the testing that they have already done to ensure that the current cooling system is capable of dissipating the right amount of heat. Then when you factor in that Cerny already talked about how above 2.23GHz chip logic began to fail and how they found the right thermal density for CPU and GPU clocks I don't see how the APU can see any more improvement.
RAM might just be the only thing they can bump but even that is doubtful because DRAM prices are extremely high right now. The specs are locked and we should be grateful with what we have. 10.23TF GPU, 3.5GHz CPU, 448GB/s across 16GB GDDR6. This is a huge base spec for first party developers to target and is ample for 4K gaming.

And anyway next gen games probably look best on PS5 as they have The most talented devs + no need to drag xses+pc with them
Only people that will be dissapointed are those that believe that 10 vs 12 is as big as one vs ps4 visuals.
Im 100% sure that Lord Master Cernys masterpiece of engineering vision is epic and more than just sum of the specs

Glad you figured it out. Honestly, those things are complicated for no reason. Like my Sony TV you need to go to the menu and find where you should activate full color gamut for both HDR and overall better image. Why the fuck it's not automated or activated by default boggles me.
But you'll always get the answer if you ask around, as it wasn't clear to me that it was a settings problem. If you have the platinum headset you might want to revisit Uncharted 4 and other high quality games for simulated 3D Audio.

How could there possibly be a spec bump when a) devs have been working with dev kits for many months, and a spec bump would alter game parameters, and b) the console has been in production for months. These things don't just get thrown together overnight. The specs for this machine have been locked for a long time... certainly way before Cerny's Riad To Ps5 presentation.

I don't understand these things very well but cannot they feed the system with more power and allow for more heat if the sillicon yield is good. It won't bump specs but allows for maintaining max frequencies at high loads.

Wouldnt put both videos in the same category tbh. The used game video can be seen as a jab at xbox policy at the time, but there was also a social media campaign launched by various gaming communities for sony to not implement any new restrictions. This was more than likely adressed to them. Look up #PS4NoDRM if you cant (or dont want to) remember

I remember there was alot of fear that Sony would do the same. Basically the argument that Microsoft wouldn't do something like that if the competition wasn't doing the same.
I can certainly see it as a jab at the competition but then again it was something they needed to clear up. They killed two birds with one stone by making that video.

We dont know if there is any situation, it is simply even though both consoles are RDNA2 they are so very different they are not comparable in TF until we compare how things run.
CU do the shader work, and are given data by memory >>>> L2 cache >>>>>>>> L1 cache >>>>>>>>>> L0 Cache and you can think of each >>> as bandwidth, and the size of the cache and amount of compression is a factor in pumping data to the CUs.
Each step getting closer to the CU gets faster and shorter in distance and clock cycles. You cna see this in the RDNA1 white paper below, look at the bandwidths of the caches, RDNA1 is so much faster than GCN and even with RDNA1 having much less TF it smokes GCN.
How do Ps5 and XSX compare, well they both use 4 arrays, each fed by L1 cache. See below, we dont know the layout of ps5, but it will be similar concept with 4 shader arrays as well so I highlighted blue for easy comparison,.
So you cannot compare TF ONLY when one part has 20 % faster clock and the data paths will be very different, its not a simple one has 18 % more TF therefore thats the difference. The extreme example is RDNA1 vs VEGA
My take is XSX will have an edge, but not as much as TF analysis says, but we have to see software running as Cache size and efficiency is just as important as theoretical TF, as you have to keep CU utilised with work. Lets see eh ?
