E-celeb Alanah Pearce is in Cyberpunk 2077!!!

But what is the issue? They used to put their employees in the game (Tomek Gop was DeWett in the 1st game, for example - I am sure there are a lot more qxamples), it is not like any additional work is needed? They still need characters. At least they look unique.

A few cynics out there have suggested this is a move to secure shinning review scores from these thought-to-be influential Youtubers.

Maybe I'm dead wrong but I can't for the life of me think of a good alternative reason why CDPR would do it. These Youtubers were likely going to cover the game extensively anyway. It seems a publicity stunt of very minor impact, but, again, I could be wrong. If the issue were NPC variety, there were other easier ways to go about it during a pandemic, like scanning devs themselves, no?

And the screenshot looks underwhelming.
Oh well.

I don't actually have an issue with Streamers/YouTubers being in games, I'd rather they weren't as its pandering as fuck, but hey that's the world we are in now, "influencers" somehow get a fair say in shit, often when their opinion is shit (See the Halo gameplay reveal pre-show where only Alanah actually came out of that well and the rest clearly could not give a fuck about Halo, hell one woman said she literally has never played it, doesn't play sequels and only indie games that have a message! what a perfect guest!) I will only accept DarkSydePhil as a Youtube cameo from now on

My issue is anyone that reviews or discusses games for a living should not be as that is a clear bias, I had the same issue when Dan Ryckert was in LA Noire when at Games Informer as a reviewer, how can I trust your opinion when you are literally part of the game?
but does she review video games anymore?
I actually don't know, but as far as i know she is not at IGN anymore.
And i actually don't have a problem with that argument even if i don't quite agree with it.
its the other piss takes in this thread, that sounds like reverse SJW'ism. :)

IMO it kinda ruin the immersion.

Man, I'd tongue punch her fart box

This is epic! I'm glad CDPR spent the time and effort to put a literal who e-celeb in the game instead of doing more important things! Can we get pewdiepie in next? Let's try our hardest, reddit!!! Imagine pewds and wholesome 100 keanu chungus in the same game!!!

I was considering buying this game. Not anymore. $60 saved.
Is this serious? I just couldn't think of a person a dev could put in a game where I would even care in the slightest. They could have Hillary Clinton running around ducking sniper fire like she is in Boznia, and if it was a game I was interested in playing, I would play it.

People on here don't want to hear it . But Youtubers with more than 450 thousand subs , are way more important to CDPR than the haters in this thread.
Not even half a million lmao. CDPR really getting the big names. Pewdiepie out here with like 105 million subs and you're acting like less than half a million is a big deal.

Report me for trolling/bait > 07/01
My god you easily about the 15th person to point this out, well done champ.

go ahead and be a filthy snitch for no good reason other than you don't like who the post is about.

Unless you can point to a specific reason why she shouldn't, stop posting low effort tripe to try and have people banned because they don't share your sentiment.

Let me guess, it's bait or trolling because your insecure? Nice one. If the mods feel my posts are worth a ban they'll do it but as of yet I'm all good.

There's a couple of problems with that notion:

The first is that CP2077 Youtube channel already has more than one million subscribers. So only the non-overlapping portion of that metric counts.

The second problem, more fundamental, is that once CDPR puts her and others in the game, the reaction to their possible praise for Cyberpunk 2077 will, in my estimation, at least, only get more cynical. Is it or it it not more probable that people will discount her praise as non-genuine precisely because there's a chance her being in the game got to her? I think the doubt will linger.

I think someone named Jesse Cox is also in the game. Not sure who he is though - just saying. I have seen a tweet with a screen today, it also seemed he is a Youtuber of some kind?
