As a guy who'll get ps5 on release date - don't have any reason to be jealous. I'm amazed that everyone jerks off on DeS graphics and can't see how current-gen some npc look, which was evident from first trailer with Maiden in Black.Jealous?
In the pictures and in the video, the console seemed like some incredibly fat monster, but in life - in ordinary, not studio lighting - it seems absolutely normal.
Black plastic is really glossy. It collects fingerprints and dust very quickly.
Noise level: to hear the fan, we had to get up from the sofa and literally put our ear to the console. But there is one important point: we played Astro's Playroom, and although it ran in 4K at 60 fps, this is clearly not the project that should warm up the console to its fullest and bring the cooling system to the maximum. In this regard, it is difficult to talk about how hot the PS5 is. Yes, the air behind is by no means cool, but it cannot be called scalding - 40 degrees max.
"As we've heard previously, Howard confirms that Bethesda is "giving up very little" of its independence by joining Microsoft, and says, "We're a subsidiary, but we're still running our games and pushing everything the way that we have."
Umm... Todd? Phil Spencer would like you to step into his office for a minute.
They'll put it everywhere.
It'll be on gamepass and MS will use that to try and drive people to its service.
But if you want to pay full price and play on a non-gamepass platform, MS is going to okay that too.
The question really is if Bethesda manage to get TES out before there is a deal between MS and Sony for gamepass content/hosting.
Enjoy attempting to point out faults in something exceptional. Must be hard for you to appreciate anything. This being my first souls game, it took me 35 hours (yeah I died a lot), but if you've played some of the other games I can imagine it taking like 15-20 hours.
Growth outside of US and Japan:"Right now the metric is engagement, and that obviously can be judged across two axis: the number of people who engage with you, and the amount of time that each of those people spend engaging with you."
PS5 availability:"The PS4 generation saw us make huge strides in Germany and the Middle East, and I think there is further progress to be made in both of those areas. But equally, I think Asia -- outside of Japan -- has huge potential for us. And Latin America has huge potential for us."
Ryan reiterates the fact that there will be more PS5s at launch than PS4s -- "Considering everything we've had to contend with [specifically COVID-19], that's a considerable achievement."
"It's probably not widely appreciated or understood, to what extent that we have grown our own game development capability organically over the course of this generation..."
"I would just invite anybody to look at the launch window line-up of the PS4 generation, or PS3 generation, and compare it to what we are going to bring in the equivalent phase of PS5. There's just no comparison."
"That is the fruit of not massive spending sprees, but of very, very steadily, carefully planned organic growth..."
"We are lucky enough to have five or six studios who fall into that category (he brought up Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch up as examples of 'organically-grown' studios)... But it isn't luck, because we've been working on this for years and years. Very quietly, in a very PlayStation way, we've been building something quite special with these studios. You can do it with frenzied acquisition, or measured acquisition, or you can do it organically."

This is so freaking cool. I remember thinking about future controllers when i was younger and imagining if something like this was possible and we are finally here. Next stop is adaptive analog sticks.
Yeah its so true about those developers. Sony have had such a great nack at bringing individual studios into the fold and having them just flourish and produce amazing things. I mean... Ghosts Of Tushima is basically using tech that most people would of considered next gen only with things like its fine grained texture loader (which I my read is very similar to what MS talks about in its dev chats on DX12 Sample Feedback, but instead made with complex compute shaders on a 7 year old graphics card!).Select Jim Ryan quotes from the article (nothing too interesting):![]()

Is the irony lost on any one else, regarding the gushing for DS ? it looks class but lets not lose sight its a remake and not ignore the fact that COVID has had a huge impact on both Sony and Microsoft launch plans regarding games and we are all feeling it once you put the biased view point aside.
This Gen is truly exiting regardless on hardware As I personally cant wait to see what all studios produce in the coming years.
He's TimDog but for guys who think they're too intelligent for TimDog.Who's this fucker again?
They haven't shown the 4K30 visual fidelity mode yet. The game director said that it features completely dynamic lighting and shadowing (meaning global illumination?). Wonder how that looks like in comparison, when the performance mode looks this good.

Why does it matter that it's a remake?
Totally, and AndAndTech even compared Infinity Cache to what MS had done in the past with ESRAM/SRAM.
I never figured the road to PS5 graphic was to scale, and only drew mine up after seeing people write off infinity cache due to size (128MB=6 trillion transistors/147mm2).
Jealous?

Dynamic 4k could mean anything. The resolution drops to ensure the framerate sticks to 60 fps. there is a good chance the framerate drops all the way down to 1440p in some instances.Well Digital Foundry needs to explain themselves now. They made the claim that it was 1440P when it's actually Dynamic 4K.

I figured he was 12 lolSo that's what the bastard looks like I'd imagined someone like Rich from reviewtech USA
That is Jayne Mansfield. The blond is HOT Even tho she's not Marylin!!!
Dynamic resolution is not the same as 1440p though.Dynamic 4K might fall down to 1440p, no?

lets wait and see. Gears of war 5 goes all the way down to 1080p in its dynamic 4k mode.
Dynamic 4K might fall down to 1440p, no?
That's right, they didn't. Thomas Morgan assumed 1440p, without much reasoning.I don't think they said it was dynamic though. I mean that should be easily detectible.
I don't recall exactly what they said. I am sure we will have new pixel-counting from them soon enough.Dynamic resolution is not the same as 1440p though.
If you think DF should refer to dynamic resolution as the lowest possible, then they should have said Gears 5 actually runs at 1080p on the X1X.
More quote from Jim please....Everytime he talks, you realize straight away that he is a man of vision and results.....I can see him taking consoles to 200 million units and beyond....PS5 will be a tour de force in sales and gaming experiences imo and it is Jim that will usher us into this console nirvana...Select Jim Ryan quotes from the article (nothing too interesting):![]()

It may or it may not. Depends on what Bluepoint has set as the lowest bound it can scale down to during 100% load on the GPU.Dynamic 4K might fall down to 1440p, no?
That's an easy assumption honestly. If games run at 4K/30, you have to half the resolution to double the framerate. According to recent info, performance mode may be lacking some advanced lighting, so resolution may go higher than 1440p upto 4K. Obviously, that's just my guess. That's right, they didn't. Thomas Morgan assumed 1440p, without much reasoning.
My goodness, nothing touches Demon Souls so far, this is a tour de force in next gen graphics atm, just so damn impressive.......Absolutely bonkers....But... but... is it full fat RDNA 2?
