Aaaaand...you just proved my point. Are you 12? Lol
Yes, I am in fact younger than my account here.

Nothing to brag about.Yes, I am in fact younger than my account here.
It had plenty of momentum from the 3DS though which is more its predecessor than WiiU.
People seem to be forgetting Microsoft distributed their systems to more markets globally at launch than Sony did.
Nothing to brag about.
In Europe and Middle East xbox is not doing hot.
U can buy xsx and xss in dubai anywhere you go right now.
The Microsoft faithful live off that sugary spin, spin... oh and promise after promise of a better tomorrow that will come... someday.... eventually... they must be saints, I sure as heck wouldn't tolerate that shit for as long as they have.At some point, ppl have to stop falling for pr, spin.
Lets not forget the stock, pandemic situation.
Sony seems to be much better prepared than MS in that regard, but could be doing better overall. There's no telling how much better either could have done in a normal situation.
But, if they sold more this time, under these circumstances, why would they sell less than 100 million overall? Wouldnt 100 million be the minimum?
Damn delusional is one hell of a huge problem lmao
DO you even believe what you write? Absolutely disgraceful.
Newsflash....Scalping isn't to anywhere near the scale you think it is. They sold over 1.1 million PS5's in the USA alone... wrap that number around your head a little bit.
A very high estimate for the number scalped would be 200k. It's probably more like ~150k or less, or roughly 10%.
Is it bigger because of online sales? Probably. Is it so big it's worth it for stores to implement bot protections? No.. this problem exists for a tiny tiny fraction of what they sell.
And newsflash, scalped consoles do not represent what the average person is willing to pay for them. Either way, why are you asking for 100% of people to be punished with a higher price rather than the much smaller percentage of people who just can't wait out an initial product rush? These issues are always temporary, the PS5 is not a limited edition item.. this will pass.
I managed to buy 2 for myself.. wasn't even that hard. There have been multiple restocks. It's scarce right now but there will be more drops too, and it's not all bots buying them.
I work in trend analysis and prospective, I'm right about 85% of the time. Those who are delusional are those who don't know shit about market behaviors and demands.
Now again this is a projection for the PS5 under it's current state, when the next models releases in a few year it will change but the launch already dictates that lifetime sales will be between 80 and 95 millions, PS4 already lost many potential sales because of lack of BC and most importantly the line-up fragmentation but made up for it in many ways the PS5 did not meet, still selling ~115 millions.
The PS5 beating xbox is its home patch. It's going to destroy it WW. The future is blue and red. Nintendo and Sony ruling the industry as Xbox consoles fade into even more irrelevance.
So XSX did worse than XB1 but also sold out... sounds more like a stock availability issue than an interest issue. People need to chill.
I was already sleeping happily. I knew they had no chance.you can go to sleep happy now![]()
I read the Xbox Series X factories were lacking........tools.
sorry....couldn't help it.
Yup the demand for Series X is high as well, it's merely a stock issue.
Xbox division...
Nobody is talking about the profits of Microsoft and Sony as a whole but you, as they are irrelevant to this conversation.
Quote from Phil please. Also what was Xbox's profitability in 2019? thank you. It's clear as day the post was referring to the gaming division for each company. Phil Spencer said himself MS was considering cutting the Xbox division six years ago so how big Microsoft's market cap is and their overall profit margins is largely irrelevant for Xbox.
Remember about 3 months ago or longer, people were saying Covid would destroy the demand for $500 consoles as everyone is out of work and worried about money. Releasing such a product in such a climate would be a very tough sell.
Newsflash....
His best years are still ahead of him!Nothing to brag about.
Real talk. It's surprisingly good and any PS4 player will feel right at home immediately. There's no need for adjustment.Had my reservations about the DualSense, but it’s taken me by surprise how much I love it. Up there with my favourite ever controllers now, so glad it’s done well along with the PS5.
I recall 2013, the xbo was out of stock too, just not as fast as the ps4, and less units were sold. Same as this year. However, i will grant you that the series x is more compelling than the xbo ever was, however Sony is coming out of the last ten strong, people are way happier with their ps4 than they were with their ps3, they get to keep the games they bought in the last few years, some run much better on the ps5 too.Yup the demand for Series X is high as well, it's merely a stock issue.

It's likely just the logistics of manufacturing and shipping. I remember this threadCurious, what internal metric they have that made them decide to focus on a more international approach. Unless it was just a straight production issue.
You are contributing to the nonsense that you are preaching against by using terms like SonyGAF as a derogatory term. The circle-jerk street goes both ways. Sony just happens to be getting more good news lately.I get that but I think it should be pretty obvious I've had lost patience with the circle jerk nonsense in here. Rooting for any of the platforms to fail is self destructive idiocy and much of SonyGAF has degenerated to the "its not enough I should succeed, but the other should fail" territory with all the inherent willful ignorance this entails.
His best years are still ahead of him!
People are celebrating here while 80% of PS5 and series X consoles are in scalpers warehouses right now, it's meaningless. the real news here is the Switch selling more than these new consoles in the US and Japan while not having any major game released for it and with no discounts.
Well that’s only true if you count PS5 sales on 12th November. If you roll in 19th November PS5 launched in many more markets than Series.
What? PS4 lost potential sales?I work in trend analysis and prospective, I'm right about 85% of the time. Those who are delusional are those who don't know shit about market behaviors and demands.

52 (or 56... there is conflicted reports and I’m not in mood to check country by countryDefine "many more". Is it over 36? How many more over 36?

Scalpers are not focusing on the Switch right now.Cant buy another PS5 because of stock issues.I went to Best Buy yesterday and plenty of Switch in my store.
It's also selling more in the US.Are you sure it is not 100%? The lenghts people go to say BS blews my mind
Of course Switch is selling more in Japan, that will always be the reality there.
Sony debunked this, claiming it's fake and that they didn't reduce their production. It's likely just the logistics of manufacturing and shipping. I remember this thread

Sony cuts PS5 production by 4 million units
Well better get a pre order locked in or may be a long wait. https://www.bloomberg.co.jp/news/articles/2020-09-15/QGFJPPDWLU6M01 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-15/sony-is-said-to-cut-ps5-forecast-by-4-million-due-to-chip-woeswww.neogaf.com
As a side note look at all the xbox fans concerned about lower production there (reliability, clockspeeds, sales) now some are using lower production as an OK excuse for lower sales.
Yes, because Switch isn't supply constrained and it's on its sales peak year instead. It's also selling more in the US.
Scalpers are not focusing on the Switch right now.
It's also selling more in the US.

In a sea of Sony fanboi ignorance, this comment stands out like a lighthouse of truth.
I wonder if PS4 outselling Switch in its launch year and second year was also news for you then?People are celebrating here while 80% of PS5 and series X consoles are in scalpers warehouses right now, it's meaningless. the real news here is the Switch selling more than these new consoles in the US and Japan while not having any major game released for it and with no discounts.
I think the ratio would be smaller than people expect. Even the headline grabbing scalpers are in the what 2000-3500 unit range? There were reports that the guy selling the bot subs was exaggerating numbers too. I believe they have had an impact but much less than they are getting credit for.I wonder what the ratio is of consoles sold to consoles online. Could at least give an idea as to how much of the scalpers supply is being bought.
Cant buy another PS5 because of stock issues.I went to Best Buy yesterday and plenty of Switch in my store.
You come into a thread that is obviously good news for Sony and expect what?In a sea of Sony fanboi ignorance, this comment stands out like a lighthouse of truth.
Cant buy another PS5 because of stock issues.I went to Best Buy yesterday and plenty of Switch in my store.
I’m sure 99% of the console sold are in actual consumer homes.People are celebrating here while 80% of PS5 and series X consoles are in scalpers warehouses right now, it's meaningless. the real news here is the Switch selling more than these new consoles in the US and Japan while not having any major game released for it and with no discounts.
What else are people going to do whilst they are locked in their houses? This almost feels like a cheat mode.
We all thought COVID would ruin these new consoles. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
