ResetEra users are those type of self-entitled people that think the world owes them everything. Where their views are the correct ones, where there's no room for any critical thinking. You either fall in line or you're just a nazi.
They don't seem to grasp that people are not a hive mind. Everyone has their own thoughts, their own motivations and, most importantly, their own background. They don't show empathy, they don't want you to become better, they want you to be born perfect and to think the same way they do. If you don't, then you're a nazi.
They never left their homes, they evaluate the world through their video games, they have zero experience in actually being a functional person in society. The ones there that are, they like to show it off, that's all.
And this is why I can't stand that forum. They're dumb, they're ignorant as fuck, and they don't want to change because they think they're fighting the good fight. They just don't understand that their ideas and actions are actually pretty fucking stupid and they would be that person in a meeting where no one gives a fuck about what they have to say, but somehow they still think they're important. This is what makes discussion there unbearable. Let's assume for a second that said movie's racism is a given fact. I'd argue it really isn't racist, but for argument's sake let's say it's "proven" it is. They're still deciding to give 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 month and permabans to users who politely express their disagreement. Why not use this opportunity to teach users something about the terrible things in the movie? Why don't show them how and why it's truly a racist piece of trash and educate them on racism in general?

I think that was one of their biggest gripes in the Asian summit was people can't use their spouses to talk on Asian issues but they can speak for all Asians and Asian issues even if they're not that group of Asian. They're oppressed by the spouses of others who are actually from the country in question.
