I believe these things don't matter in the long run. If someone just have a PS5, they will buy the game and still play it. The same goes for someone who has the XSX.

I think the games that cause real issues are games that don't have content other console has. Like Dragon Quest XI for example.
 
I know fanboys will care and fight about resolution ... but lets take a minute and realise that

Activision considered one of the most greedy Publisher has

It never was if we are talking like 15 less frames from 20,000 frames, like a lot of the comparisons have been so far.

So if you have the disc version, can you get the new version somehow? Wouldn't mind playing this in 4k
 
Last gen games struggled to do 60 FPS, much less at native 4K. Now people are expecting 120fps when most don't even have monitors or TV to do 120fps ....😆

I would be happy if most games did 1080p at 60fps with Ray tracing. It's like this gen just jumped over 1080p so prematurely.
 
It could be. I mean it's Native 4K @ 60FPS on both systems.

The PS5 doesn't have 1440P support. Just 1080P and 4K.
To be honest, if they are both 4k/60, i dont know why PS5 wouldnt be able to match the same 1440p/60 as requirements for both modes should be pretty similar on paper.

This whole PS5 not supporting 1440p is so bizaare to me. Most gpu's can handle pretty much any resolution from 720p-4k, even really weird resolutions. What actually is it thats stopping 1440p on PS5?

EDIT. we have had games with dynamic rez that have ranges including 1440p on PS5, so yeah i dont get this whole 'it cant output 1440p' thing.

Edit: What I mean by that is they have to add 1440P support to the system. I guess that's why developers can't advertise 1440P if the PS5 doesn't support those screens.

How come developers advertise 1880p on PS5 when there's no TVs or Monitors support those resolutions?

Oh yes they can. Internal resolution =/= output resolution. The res advertised by game devs is always referring to the internal resolution.

I think most of it is Sony, being a TV-manufacturer, probably has an inherent skepticism towards offering resolutions primarily found on computer monitors
