I've been subscribed to LegalBytes since her Last of Us video where she discusses whether or not Joel's actions taken in the first game would have been legally justified, so almost from the beginning of her channel. HoegLaw I subscribed to recently for his new Headlines videos. That's a great concept that will continue long after this trial.

Johnny wins by default here maybe not in court but in the public's eye. He has his reputation back and hopefully hers is slammed into the ground with all these TikTok compilations and videos showing how psychotic she was in court from blatant lying, fake writing stuff down, the faces she made she's for sure done.

Or both of them get out of it fine and go on about their lives and everyone forgets with their short attention spans that this was an actual court case and not a reality TV show.
 
How is the system not recognized as utterly fucked if the defendant acts like and has been proven multiple times to be the most guilty bitch on the planet, yet still wins?

I have a feeling that the jury is gonna cuck the world on this one. Yeah Johnny won the public, but it'd be so fucking based if he wins in court as well. The message needs to be sent that men can be victims of abuse too.

It's a risk for studios to hire her for sure. Think of all the review bombing, turds painted on movie posters etc. why risk it? Meanwhile, you'd think that anything depp is in will get massive support, and massive support means profit which we all know is the only thing they care about.

Me as well! I used to have a really famous art blog there, then tumblr started taking down any art with hint of nudity! Artists there also got angry most also left. I've stopped using it.

I cannot see how he doesn't win, after Camille finished assassinating her character, Chew went through each point that they needed to prove to win the case, and each point was met.

If Depp doesn't win, it's going to be another OJ sized stain on the American justice system.

I only watched a bit of it, what is the proof? I only saw some things like the cops didn't see marks on her, which means little considering how small these marks supposedly were. I thought neither had any proof to speak of.
 
Who cares about marks, she proven to lie over and over again. That alone should make her guilty.

If she doesn't get culled in that court, the court is a joke.

Several days after the alleged incident she had a big bruise on her cheek.

This was also a cop specifically trained in domestic abuse not some average beat cop.

Add to this the body cam footage.

If you are going to bruise up, you'd definitely have some kind of mark on your face on the second visit if not the first.

Also she reckons he beat the absolute shit out of her with blood everywhere. There would be swelling. Again I'd expect a standard beat cop to notice someone being injured from a punch, the fact it was a specialised domestic abuse cop trained in domestic violence adds more credence to their testimony that there was nothing there.

She probably won't be done for perjury from this case, although she might be in Australia and the UK.

If he really beat her this hard and this often and with rings on his fingers, as she said he did, there would be permanent marks.

There would scars on her face, that shit doesn't go away in a week, year, two years. They remain. Look at someone who's operated on their face. There are scars and stitches if you know where to look. It doesn't just go away.

Also, most likely there would be bruises on her skull. So an xray should reveal whether or not she's been ever beaten that hard. Wouldn't prove that he was the one doing it, but would look really bad for her if there's nothing.

Agreed. The sheer numbers on this one though. Might make Hollywood think twice about Heard. Not that they havr to look at this petition to finf reasons to do that though.
 
One thing that puzzles me is that this is a defamation case, not a domestic abuse one.

So, if a single jury sides with Turd, which unfortunately seems highly likely to happen, she automatically wins and fills her pockets with 100M, right?

Well, maybe, but maybe Depp hits like a kid, and there were no marks to speak off.

The way that I see it, is that they fought and hit each other and threw stuff at each other, but it was all light and relatively harmless, and they got over it within a day or two.

I've seen many news sites with the headline "Petition to ditch amber Heard from Aquaman already at 4 million!"

This send a message to Hollywood that tons of people hate her, so they wont hire her in future projects

They know already that many people hate her, but its good to put a number on it (and a huge one at that)

I had a fairly popular vertical photography blog back in 2011 with around 38K followers.

Then Tumblr was bought out by Yahoo, and it all turned to shit.

I used to enjoy posting there, and 'interacting' with my followers.

Just give us the verdict already. It's like I'm at the last level of the game and for some reason (real life) can't get back to it to finish it but it's bugging me in the back of my mind.
 
I'll be glad when this is over so I can stop hearing about it. Obviously I want Johnny to win, but it's getting annoying seeing all the "Johnny's lawyers celebrate!!!" vids on YT in my face for what seems like a couple months now.

Generally because it's only a civil case they don't treat it that serious.

It's not likely anyone will go after her for perjury. The jury will decide her punishment and they'll take into account her lies.
