Have you not been paying attention? They are bringing all the TLOU2 gameplay improvements to this game. Better mechanics, combat, animations, A.I and possibly even weapons.
It's basically TLOU with TLOU2's combat and graphics.
They even said they reworked some of the levels (probably AI pathing, etc.) for said improvements.Have you not been paying attention? They are bringing all the TLOU2 gameplay improvements to this game. Better mechanics, combat, animations, A.I and possibly even weapons.

Combined with tempest 3D and haptics. Which makes it almost certain a native app for TLoU2 is coming as well. Much like Ghost of Tsushima.Damn that’s going to be sweet then. Not sure if I’ll pay full price for it though.
Zero idea what you're talking about. I plan on playing Starfield day one.Weren't you the one proclaiming the "commercial bomba" of Starfield the other day, now that we're talking about showing insecurities?
Druckman has only confirmed there latest animation and A.i, those two things alone will improve the gameplay a lot, they were 2 areas the origin TLOU needs much improvement.Have you not been paying attention? I personally am on the fence about any TLoU2 expansion, since while I enjoyed the attention to detail, the great acting, emotional expressions in the characters, the gameplay greatly... the story was one depressing slog. So much so, that I never went through it in NG+ for the easy platinum.DeepEnigma weather you were cheeky or not you still have not answered my questions.

ND might not be to your taste then if you think they are not caperble of making a TLOU2 spin off that you would enjoy.I personally am on the fence about any TLoU2 expansion, since while I enjoyed the attention to detail, the great acting, emotional expressions in the characters, the gameplay greatly... the story was one depressing slog. As for original content, that is coming too.
I guess it is. Carry on.I asked a question. Is that not allowed?
Calling you a `she` offends me, I'm non-binary.First of all it's she although I'm sure you already know that.
Second I DID play the game and I even thought it was decent, but this 3rd iteration in 3 generations going for $70 looks to me like nothing but a ridiculous money grab made even more ridiculous by how excited the Sony faithful are to pay it a third time.
I would rather express myself in a Sony thread with only emojis rather than shit up the thread making a ton f negative posts like you love to do any Xbox thread.
It might be? I mean they pulled that shit before at the start of the gen so a PS4 version is a possibility.Last of Us Part 1 essentially running the same as TLOU2 on the PS5 is disappointing.
Two years have passed, there is no reason at all as to why TLOU 1 Remake with TLOU2 assets can't do 4k 60 on the PS5.
Like seriously, they can't even improve the sharpness of the textures after 2 years on NEW HARDWARE?
WHY is this not on PS4?
They better have really improved the gameplay..
I adore the Uncharted franchise and Lost Legacy spinoff, and really enjoyed TLoU. Part 2 was just one of the most depressing games I have ever played (story wise). That is not a dig at them, in fact, that is them accomplishing what they set out to do.ND might not be to your taste then if you think they are not caperble of making a TLOU2 spin off that you would enjoy.

A game with great gameplay, attention to detail dripping on quality swagu... but made you feel dread while the story unfolded, especially the ending.
Motion matching takes up a lot memory. we still haven’t seen all of what motion matching can do with more memory. My guess on PS5 we’ll get uncompressed animations, possibly more samples for motion matching. advanced AI to the level TLOU2 or better, which would probably mean every enemy encounter would have to be redesigned. Curious to see how TLOU 2 gameplay effected gameplay and move sets. Also overall image quality, models, textures should be at the highest level. Just looking at what they did for PS5 uncharted legacy of thieves collection at minimum gives an idea of what we could get in terms of load times and character model quality. in my opinion this should make TLOU remake a new experience.I don't see where the fire for the war is coming from. I mean, people who are Druckman stans can deal with the fact that not everyone is gonna like ND's current gen business practices, or that some people felt they got burned with Part II so they aren't invested anymore, and some people don't like the art direction and the subtle alterations to character models and ambience.
People who hated Part II can realize that their opinion isn't the be all end all and some people (a large amount, apparently) found something substantial to chew on and are along for the ride. That people who want a more consistent or modern connection to Part II, or just something to do with their PS5 that isn't BC, have something to fuck with.
I mean, I'm on the "we didn't really need this," end, but if you think we did, then fuck, we've just discovered individualized autonomy!
Not mad at all. Buying Day 1 for my 3rd play throughBasically PS4 TLOU2 level graphics running at 60 fps on PS5 at 1440p. No rendering tech improvements.
Let's see how you feel when they announce Gears of War with the Masterchief Collection treatment.First of all it's she although I'm sure you already know that.

They are actually calling making Tess look 15 years older a 'glow up'. Lol.
She may be more realistic but this is another example where I easily prefer the original artstyle.
Yeah I'm going to wait until it's below £40, I own the PS3 Ellie edition and the remaster, I can wait for a price drop.No one has to buy this at $70. Just wait for sale, or play it when it hits PS Plus Extra(?) if the price grinds your gears. It’s probably not the most meaningful remaster but at least it’s not DK Tropical Freeze territory port at higher price.
Would not buy it - not interested. The existing games play just fine. I am super irritated Dead Space is getting remastered instead of getting a new game, especially since I played it again recently and the original holds up really well.Let's see how you feel when they announce Gears of War with the Masterchief Collection treatment.
Yeah, if they can’t get the Naughty Dog engine up to UE5 standards, then they should go with UE5.How spiderman and ratchet are running at native 4k 45-60 fps with RT reflections is beyond impressive. Optimization is key. Even GG just turned HFW's awful performance mode into a beautiful game with a very clean IQ just by optimizing without ever increasing resolution.
I dont think ND is porting down from PC. My guess is that they are limited by the PS4 engine and just didnt have time to optimize it for the PS5. Horizon and GOW PC ports show how these PS4 engines were CPU bound on PC maxing out one core while under utilizing all other cores and threads. I wouldnt be surprised if TLOU2 was the same especially since ND pushes A.I and animation far more than GG, Insomniac and SSM.
I almost wish they just move to UE5 and work on optimizing that instead. The Matrix demo is also very poorly optimized, CPU bound and doesnt multi-thread properly. If ND can work on UE5, they can make games much faster instead of waiting for their own tech to mature.

I guess people expected generational leap with games that are exclusive to next generation. Not more of the same simply because it looked great on last gen.![]()
Yes I have taken it into account. And I know what you are saying. They aid to use make a better use of bandwidth but if I remember correctly these coherency engines and cache scrubbers are completely automated, not programable. In other words devs don't have control on that. In theory, the console software already uses this custom hardware..
It's justified because of the amount of work to optimise on base PS4 which is seriously underpowered in 2022 for what they have probably achieved.. They don't have years like they did with TLOU2 for development, polish and optimisation on something that is essentially not an entirely new game, but a remake. Are there any comparisons to TLOU2 on PS4/5? Obviously it's going to look better than a game designed for 2006 hardware. How much is it better than TLOU2? Is PS5 exclusivity justified?
you didn't see her in the trailer? she looks just how she looks in part 2Wonder if they'll give Marlene the same treatment...![]()
Sorry, that was Toadman, not Captain Toad. Not sure why there are so many toads here.Zero idea what you're talking about. I plan on playing Starfield day one.
Please show me the post you're talking about.

Hmmm, you're right.you didn't see her in the trailer? she looks just how she looks in part 2
It's hard to tell most of the time unless you are looking at the two side by side.
Part 2 looks actually better in some of them. Also, this ridiculous "remake" is $70 so not your usual rerelease money grab but worse.Never mind, there actually are comparison shots. Looks like they recreated TLOU 1 in TLOU 2 engine and called it a day. Naughty Dog used to push the hardware to its limits. Now they just want to push this game before the show drops. No bueno.

Good one.I thought native 4K was a "waste of resources" with all the reconstruction techniques, DLSS and all that bees knees!?
As long as part 3 looks like this.
Even 60$ for this unnecessary 8 year old touch up is ridiculous and look at them selling it higher at 70$. Imagine if Ubisoft or SE did this. Somehow Sony get a pass.Curious what the sales will look like. If it’s lacklustre, Sony will twist themselves into a pretzel trying to determine if it’s priced too high or if people are waiting for to be free on the buffet, Sony edition.
Sadly we won’t be able to determine which either.
They are actually comparing this to the PS3 version not the PS4 remaster for maximum effect. Not bad for a "remaster"![]()
Yeah.. something like that... or Joel drooling with pleasure for been such a hatefull human beingNah, just tweak emotional expressions and maybe a nod to the doc having agency.
Like, imagine if the doc dropped the line while you're holding him at gunpoint, "No, please! I have a daughter!"

I don't think anyone is giving Sony a pass for the ludicrous price of this, as for deeming it unnecessary.. well that's subjective, after i had finished TLOU2, I stuck on TLOU remaster and the contrast between the two was fucking massive and not just visually, i couldn't get into it, the game felt old, it looked old af after coming from "imo" the absolute pinnacle of videogaming that was TLOU2, so i was delighted to hear about this remake as it meant i could now replay it again.. but for £70.. nah, that's far too much to charge for a game that the vast majority of assets are already created, its pure robbery, yes I don't deny a shit ton of talented work has went into this but unlike the sequel where everything was crafted from scratch and could justify the price, TLOU is already sitting on their servers, the incredible vegetation & texture assets have already been created for the sequel, the levels are all worked out, the acting all completed and all it now takes is simply porting it all over into their already created engine ffs... as much as i love this game and want to replay them both again, I'll be waiting until it drops to a more reasonable price of £30 or thereaboutsEven 60$ for this unnecessary 8 year old touch up is ridiculous and look at them selling it higher at 70$. Imagine if Ubisoft or SE did this. Somehow Sony get a pass.
Sure it doesn't have to be programmed for just like IC, and it can provide performance uptick. But game code can be optimized to rearrange how data is accessed to maximize capabilities. Just like IC.
