Personally, if this is anything more than 'here's Bloober Team's SH2 remake that nobody asked for' I'll be happy.

Well, lets hope they don't deviate from a single thing. I usually hate people who want a remake to be the exact same game (it should make changes and improvements, usually), but with SH2 it's necessary. Every camera angle, every sound, every moment was intentional. That game is set piece after set piece that was crafted exactly how it was meant to be.
IDK maybe it's nostalgia talking. I've gone through dozens of hours of videos detailing reasoning for scenes and people dissecting it all. There is so much intention put into SH2. I suppose it's possible that some stuff needs to be updated for modern audiences, but I definitely don't think Bloober is the one to do that.

Still having a hard time believing this and I'm not expecting much at all, but we'll see if it's a teaser, pachinko, merchandise, one or some legit Silent Hill games. I'm wondering if Akira Yamaoka will return. Can't have Silent Hill without his legendary contributions. If you ask me, the sound and amazing music was a HUGE part of the game.

Silent Hill 3 had some super incredible face models for the time, i remember i replayed the game after playing so many heavy hitters on PS2 (and there were a LOT boy) and right before PS3 release and was still blown away but the level of tech of the game.
Silent Hill 1 Piano enigma i was stuck in for 2 weeks, i had the game in full English and at the time i didn't know any English word at the time haha except 3 words (Yes, No, Pupil)
SH2 was incredible and maybe had the best story. Love SH4 The Room as well, unique atmosphere.
I played the others except Homecoming, there were not bad but nothing special, like SH shattered unlike the others games i don't remember any special moment and never felt the need or wanted to replay them, just some OK generic games.

Konami handled the Silent Hill franchise like shit. The remake of Silent Hill 2 and 3 were bad ports. The cancelled Silent Hill game gave more power to Capcom with Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil VIllage, Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. EA is bringing back Dead Space remake. The original devs left EA and is releasing the Callistro Protocol. Not sure if Silent Hill can work in this climate. Konami might even nickel and dime with some shady microtransaction or free to play buisiness model or shit. My expectations for them are at an all time low. All they make are pachinko machines anyway and they treated MGS franchise like shit anyways. They take their IP and drag it through the mud.

The article was wrong, the document that originated that wasn't about an agreement with Sony for a new game. It was a deal to include in PS+ already known and released games.

That "agreement" was for relicensing their games that were on PSNow, over to the new Plus rebrand.
