if they show far out games again 🙄 we're STILL waiting for a lot of the games they showed off ~3-4 years ago and the rumblings are a lot of those aren't in great shape, what has Xbox done to earn a belief that if they do it again that this time will be different?

Oh I fully believe MS will drop the ball on games I actually want to play

I should have know better than to show support for one camp or the other :)

All I can ever think of with these types of threads is the meme of the guy (xbox) chugging the champagne and flipping everyone off just to get onto his third-place podium. Ya'll are nuts. How can the biggest loser save anything?
 
Btw this guy has been an Xbox gamer for like a year. This is his first Xbox console.

Only 1 platform holder can't seem to sell enough hardware and games to make a profit. They must be the saviors.

Microsoft is not your friend. Sony is not your friend. Nintendo is not your friend. Valve is not your friend. Epic is not your friend. Google is not your friend. Apple is not your friend. Amazon is not your friend.

They are humongous corporations concerned only with their bottom line who derive regular income from the gaming space and each seeks to control as much of it as possible. None of them are "saving gaming". Many of them are actively making gaming worse. The fact that we have to celebrate when one of these entities doesn't shit its pants on the world stage or doesn't make some kind of anti-consumer move is a testament to how much Stockholm Syndrome many gamers are actually accustomed to.

The industry has more competition than it did when Microsoft joined it. PC is bigger than ever, mobile is absolutely gargantuan, and then we're just gonna act like Nintendo doesn't exist? You people are certifiably insane.

If it weren't for Microsoft you'd have to pay twice as much for Playstation consoles and games. The worst part is the Sony execs would laugh about it.

No, if PS got too expensive people would jump to PC or Nintendo. We lived without Microsoft or Sega in the 90s if you're old enough to remember that. We can do it again, and there is more competition than there ever was. My prediction is that if MS drops out then PC handhelds will likely become the third pillar of the console experience beside Nintendo and Sony.

No, see, Playstation fans will pay anything to kill the competition! Xbox never really got a chance to compete because of them! They can't keep getting away with it!
 
It's so unfair why can't Microsoft just get to go ahead and buy out the entire industry right now? It would totally get rid of all anti competitive companies out there and all their stupid fans.

Yeah MS has way better games I am way more interesting in playing than that shit Sony shoveled in their latest SoP

Do I think MS can deliver on those games with their track record?

My confidence is not high

But to be crystal clear MS can actually save gaming for ME (MY PERSONAL OPINION) over what Sony has been doing recently and what it looks to be doing coming up

Did I make that ocean small enough?
