EA(early access) is paid. Launch supposedly next year will be free to play just like PoE. They haven't released details on how much or anything else. They are supposed to have a livestream later this month to cover everything about the EA.Do i have to purchase something to play the Early Access of PoE 2?
Or is it completely free?
Yep, i saw that. Hmm i was hoping for completely free access but it is what it is.EA(early access) is paid. Launch supposedly next year will be free to play just like PoE. Edit: forgot to add that they said there will be a supporter pack that gives access as well as a lifetime spent total that gives access as well.
The lifetime spend access is an unexpected gesture.Yep, i saw that. Hmm i was hoping for completely free access but it is what it is.
YesDoes this have controller support (without workarounds)?
Only if you playing Hardcore. But i think HC Character goes into Softcore when dying.Console versions as well?
Do you lose your character when dying?
The only question that matters.Console versions as well?
Can I just play without hardcore?Only if you playing Hardcore. But i think HC Character goes into Softcore when dying.
With Softcore the character respawns.
SureCan I just play without hardcore?
And it's the same game minus losing your character?Sure
You just choose Softcore when creating a character if that is your question.
It has multiplayer up to 6 ppl and couch co-opHow does multiplayer work in PoE (2) ?
I've been looking for large-scale PvE or co-op game. (ie. can I join a random game with 6+ people and fight some mobs?)
That we don't know if Hardcore will have better and different loot than Softcore so i can't really say.And it's the same game minus losing your character?
Couch co-op? Hmm hopefully the EA access is coming out for ps5 as well then, could play with with my sonIt has multiplayer up to 6 ppl and couch co-op

As far as masochism kinks go, playing PoE with a controller is up there. The only question that matters.

That is true, but even on Diablo 4 (also designed for controllers), inventory management can be a bit of a pain. PoE 2 is very likely going to be quite a bit more complicated then the relatively tame Diablo 4.PoE 1 wasn't designed with a controller in mind, so it's a little clunky. PoE 2 is designed to work well with both MKB and controller from the start, so it should feel a lot better.
Maybe, but I just need to know when it's available on PS5.As far as masochism kinks go, playing PoE with a controller is up there.

I'm sure the game will be fun to play with a controller, but inventory, trading, and communication is still going to suck a bit.
I'm really curious how many content there will be in this EA but i have the feeling it will be quite an amount. Just my feelings.
The more the better even if it's not balanced right from the beginning.
Based on reports, it'll be a decent amount, with a substantial campaign and a proper endgame.

Definitely starting with mercenary, looks fun as hellI'm really looking forward to this. Everything they've shown so far looks amazing. That class with the gun and the different ammo type looks fun as hell
Any specific problems you thinking of? I mean Performance Problems or balancing problems? These devs know what they're doing so I'm somewhat optimistic. But I'm sure early access is going to have problems.
Do you have to pay for Ea?
What's lifetime spend exactly? The lifetime spend access is an unexpected gesture.
Will support regardless, just nice to see they have this as it makes me feel appreciated as a long time player.
Wow, that sounds awesome. Now i'm even more hyped.Really pumped for this.
My fav ARPG was last epoch till recently. D4 was really disappointing at launch, it never opened up the way I thought it would.
Always bounced off poe due to the complexity but last epoch helped me with that. Recently tried POE1 and it might be my fav ARPG now, at least mechanically.
POE2 seems to shake up the ARPG formula, this is what I'm excited about:
200+ active skills
200+ support skills
100+ bosses
Insane level of animation and graphics
Move while fighting
Skills interact with each other and with other people's skills
Much more skill based gameplay (ie. Not mindless clicking): active block, timed critical hits
Each active skills can be supported by several support gems which can fundamentally change how it works
More dangerous enemies, no more boom and zoom (at least for a while)
Beta/early access will likely be $10 for a key or $30 for a supporter pack. Not confirmed yet. Stream happening next week, no set date but target was end of Oct. 3 acts + some number of maps (20?) with acts and new content added every few months for about 6 months till full release.
As for micro transactions, if it's anything like POE1, it's quite reasonable. There is cosmetics and if you get quite deep into the game you'll need a few more stash tabs (maybe $30-$40 worth?). If you want to play some story and a bit of endgame you won't feel compelled to spend a cent and it feels like a proper paid game probably more so than d4 which tries to throw their store and battle pass into your face all the time.
How much total one spent in mtx over the years. Some (many actually) ppl are way over several thousands. What's lifetime spend exactly?
Rumors are 30$ through a supporter pack with early access and about that much in store credit which is good for extra stashes etc.Do you have to pay for Ea?
