As far removed from FF16 as possible.
Yups, as much as im enjoying ff16(and i do, currently lvl 32 so i roughly beaten 1/3rd of the game, only started playing last week

), we know from official sales data ff16 only sold 3,5m copies so far, vs ff15 that sold solid 10m.
So logically what we want is fully open world game, proper team party in it, not a solo-hero with 0 control over other ppl in the team, either turn based or with very strong controll over every party member durning fighting.
Doesnt matter if game gonna be set in middle ages or more future sci-fi, as long as story is believable(in ff16 it defo isnt so far, and i dont mean magic elements, just inter-personal relationships, not gonna give any spoilers but if some1 plays they will know right away story has many cringe/unrealistic moments)- those 20-30minutes sequences of just cgi/in engine cutsceness are way too long, they can be 2minutes at max instead to not bore the player.
Would definitely welcome materia system or something symilar, both adding fun to playstyle/battles/managing characters and on top very grounded in game's setting.
Just my 2 cents, for reference played and finished ff4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,15 with all its secrets dungeons/bonuses/killing ultimate bossess/done all subquests/post game content etc. Dunno how many hours total i got in the series, definitely well over 2k hours since ff10 took me over 500h on its own and i have beaten ff7 3 times by now
