We're literally being priced out of our hobby rn and these cunts want to sell us a remake of a mid game.
Can anyone please stop Todd?

OR you could download a couple of mods from nexus and it would probably look better than their cash grab.

Shit take. You have no idea what the game will be like. Furthermore, the pc version still does not have native controller support.

19 years later, this is a great opportunity to revisit one of the best Elder Scrolls games and right some wrongs.

Wait is this true?
No controller support?

Wasnt the X360 pad Xinput which most of steam games supported at the time?
No aim assist or whatever but it should have emulated the feel.
Damn, I really was a console gamer when the X360 was hot...........

<----Bloomed the game on X360.

It's looking more and more like a remaster cause definitely not a remake which would require wayyy too much effort and would definitely have been made a much bigger deal way before its release date . Not to mention without mods it'll be nearly useless and doubt it'll be anywhere close to the dedication and work that Skybvion would be anyway. So that's why this is most likely just going to be a remaster if it turns out to be real even if the rumors were saying it's a remake.

I was hopeful about it all, but this happening gave me a small ounce of excitement, lol. I can't help but means the rumors were true and we'll know soon enough. At least I hope so.

Now hold on now

Pipe down a little. Let us see what they cooked up

Should have been done a while back. I bought the Xbox 360 to play this game when it came out. Haven't played it since, so I'm really curious how the mechanics standup today. Hopefully some of the jank is fixed.

It's happening. $79.99 day 1.

You know what's funny about software price increases. I haven't heard a single person threaten to go to gamepass and Xbox over this.

It needs a mod to work but it's still janky:

Apparently it has been in development at an external studio for 5 years

You can sort this out in 5 minutes using mods.
Sure; I'll just spend 5 minutes rq downloading a million different mods to fix the shit textures, monstrous faces, broken quests, controller support, 4GB patch.. oh and then take two seconds to apply all this on steam deck.

As someone who is very pro-mods; Jesus I think I have 81 on stardew right now, and another 50 between four other games I'm playing - trying to do any of it on steam deck is … insane. Having to do it at all sucks. So if a remaster/remake were to come along and alleviate most of those issues out the gate?

I fuckin welcome it

If Oblivion or Skyrim is how you think of an Elder Scrolls game, you will most likely be gobsmacked by Morrowind.
Most people who try it out with ESIV and ESV as their only reference end up quitting.
I've been secretly waiting for a remake like this for Morrowind and Arena.

I would also say Daggerfall but apparently that game's map is 5x larger than Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Instant buy. Day one.

It's not as good as Morrowind imo which BADLY needs a remake/remaster

But it's definitely a fantastic game

The OG has aged like milk and needs mods to be playable imo. Hopefully this will also support mods.
It needed mods from day one, basically. I have to remind myself when I see people complaining about it that many have played it on console or unmodded on PC initially. I installed leveling fix mods just a few days after release, so I've never even experienced it with the shitty default leveling system.

Of course, mods only got even better from there, but it's wild that modders fixed in a couple of days what was the game's biggest and most glaring flaw.

No not at all. I know Morrowind is different and more based on free exploration with no map markers. The player agency is what interests me about Morrowind.
