Having sat through two frankly dire game conferences this week, it's becoming clear to me that if it weren't for Capcom there'd be pretty much nothing I'd be looking forward to.

Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 and Monster Hunter Wilds are some of my fondest games on what I consider to have been a pretty quiet generation for me so far.

They've got 3 big games planned for the next year and frankly I can't wait, they all look bloody excellent!

Keep it up, Capcom.

Mihoyo for me.

It's a shame all of their projects are gacha. I would gladly support a ZZZ game that costs 40-50 bucks with a battlepass/seasons system. Gacha is also really pushed back/regulated against, in Belgium. I can't even play Mihoyo games on PS5, only on PC, for some reason.

I religiously play Capcom fighting collection 2 right now. Its the only game i've been loading up past month. Actually inbetween I beat Onimusha 2 so there's that.

I didn't like MH Wilds but I was never too much into MH. I am hyped for RE9, new Onimusha and Pragmata.

Dragons Dogma 2 and MH Wilds disappointed me.

Not at all for me. Barely present. I really enjoyed Exoprimal and Kunitsu-Gami. The rest are remakes, or fairly safe sequels.

Don't get me wrong, they're very good developers and I'm looking forward to RE9 and Onimusha. Less convinced on Pragmata but hopefully its good.

I think people overrate them a lot here. So many remakes, rereleases, sequels.

Eh, plenty outside of Capcom for me to enjoy this year. MH Wilds and Dragons Dogma 2 while by no means terrible games, were both disappointing to me.

I just checked the requiem steam page and has both third person and fps. Which lumps it into resident evil 8 third person territory for me.

Never had much interest in Capcom games as the narrative or characters in their games don't really offer what draws me into the hobby.

The RE storyline is nonsense at this point and I didn't see anything compelling about Pragmata in the trailers.

For me 2023 and 2024 were really good and carried by multiple devs and 2025 has been somewhat lacklustre thus far. Although Clair Obscure has been mostly great-excellent, but I need to finish it!

I'm looking forward to RE9, but time has taught me that Capcom can go either way with a lot of their titles. Thankfully it looks like 9 is going to be more survival horror than action. Maybe Silent Hill has helped them make or at least affirm the decision.

Onimusha will be fun, no doubt, but I'll just enjoyt it when I get to it.

Pragmata will have to prove itself, being a new title and all, but I'm certainly hoping for the best.

If they improve on RE8's 3PS mode and give the option of it being like 2R or 8 then it will be fine. That will take extra work, but I think it would be worth it for one of their flagships

Capcom been doing a lot of heavy lifting for the industry for a while now.

Pragmatic looks nice, but I worry about how empty it looked. Lots of good world building, though.

Been very happy with Capcom this Gen and what's to come.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and Resident Evil titles have kept me properly sated while I enjoyed other titles they've released making good use of my 4090/PC. Absolutely stoked for Pragmata and another title still in the works too.

Let Capcom keep working on RE Engine to make good use of its full potential.

Loved them since I was a teen scared shitless playing RE 1 alone in the dark. Still hoping for an RE 1 remake.

I'm getting them all. Capcom has been one of my favorites since childhood with Megaman, Resident Evil, Breath of Fire and their fighting games. So I'm open to anything they offer, and most of the time they deliver in the gameplay department.

The only thing they need to reach a higher echelon they already are is getting better at narrative in their games, and online experiences as their multiplayer centric games are generally miss aside from Monster Hunter and Street Fighter series.

Still, they better not give up on Dragon's Dogma. They have an unpolished gem with that IP, they just need to commit to a good story and RPG systems beyond combat alone. The foundation is there with what they did in Dragon's Dogma Online and the Monster Hunter series, so there is no excuses to keep fumbling the IP like that.

It looks like they were one of the first BIG gameing companies to understand that cost control is everything... i mean, how much their games costs to make when a in-house engine? (that needs to be improved for open world games, we all know...)

They've been expert at maxing dx9,11 & 12 to it's limit. I don't see them doing something less decent. Dragons dogma & Monster Hunter were graphics flops though. I think they must be smart and use RT like DOOM The Dark Ages.

Capcom has amazing project management. Not all their games have to be 10/10s when they have such crazy output. For every remake, there's a sequel, for every sequel there's a new IP, and for every new IP, there's a new collection.

There's simply so much of it and it's great!

If you don't appreciate what you have, maybe you don't have something you love. It's OK to not be hard-core into the hobby, but understand it that's how you feel and go in with those expectations.

It isn't gaming's fault that you fell out of love. Sometimes things just happen. If it takes Capgod to make you care, there's obviously a problem here. Spark can come back one day.

Capcom has been making great games for 35+ years. Their 1990's arcade games were (and largely still are) amazing. They seem to be immune to corporate corruption that tends to ruin western game studios.

Capcom went through a drug-addled phase during the 360/PS3 era, but they've cleaned themselves up since then. Aside from that dark period in their lives, they've consistently remained one of the top tier gaming publishers and developers for me over the decades.
