Looks like they've added more combat and weather conditions and that's it.I tried really hard to get into the first game. Just could not do it. Is 2 more of the same?
I played a few hours after midnight, after which... yeah, I passed out, a few too many nightcaps and all that. It was so nice than after waking up and getting back to the game, there were already a few ladders and climbing spikes that made all the difference. The "asynchronous multiplayer" aspect was, and is, the greatest innovation of Death Stranding. Now we have a home for this epic quest. Im very excited for my physical copy on June 26. Those with CE and Deluxe with early access, enjoy the journey and Im looking forward to use your structures. Keep on keeping on.![]()

Just saw this clip on twitter. It's pretty nuts how insanely fast it loads saves (even faster than games like SM2)!
The asynchronous multiplayer aspect in DS1 directors was was really a breath of fresh air. It lessens my worries on some of my missions, deliveries and travel and it feel so good too see structures on a very difficult terrain especially on mountains and those infested with mules and BT's in DS1. And because of those aspects on DS series, the game becomes more cerebral, challenging, innovative and but you still feel not alone. The game is also catharsis for me.I played a few hours after midnight, after which... yeah, I passed out, a few too many nightcaps and all that. Even before the Director's Cut, at a late stage of the main story in DS1 you have to backtrack quite a bit (I think that doesn't spoil anything, we'll leave it at that). And the fact that I could do so, by just riding on a highway that I in part (but certainly not all by myself) helped to build, felt really cathartic. But even more so when playing the Director's Cut during the Covid lockdown. It really drove home the point of "we may be in isolation but still connected".The asynchronous multiplayer aspect in DS1 directors was was really a breath of fresh air. There is a 17 page slideshow presentation narrated by Deadman that offers a decent recap apparently, at least for anyone who has played the original. It's pre-ordered and can't wait to dive in.
But first I'll need to finish GOW: Ragnarok and watch a recap of DS1.
I saw an article saying that the recap and in game codex logs are enough to get those that didn't finish or play the first game up to speed. Would you say that's accurate? I'm keen to just hop into the second game as it looks a bit more interesting to me than the first. As a player who loved the First game,i think the recap is enough to ppl remember things..
