The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes.

As for cost, we selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch. Among other things, we're looking at average per-player credit earn rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.

We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on Reddit, our forums and across numerous social media outlets.

Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can.

To be fair to Geoff Keighley, his instant reply to that really cut through to the heart of the matter: 'so stick with 360, that's your message if you don't like it?'

Games journalism is not really a legitimate profession, but saying that to the head of Xbox at the time knowing it would be broadcast was top notch.

Don's face as soon as he heard the question - he knew he had just dropped a nuclear clanger.

The giant enemy crab line is only terrible because it was preceded by claims of historically accurate versions of real battles from feudal japan.

I also ways like the hubris of this one, especially given how god of war and uncharted later passed Halo. In general, it's good practice not to discuss your competition or prod them much, but Aaron couldn't help himself.

I was there during the Playstation event in 2006 (2005? I don't remember). You could hear a fly after the Ridddddge Racer. Cold as ice.
