Goldberg isn't happy about his send off

'There's about 100 things, 'I did three interviews beforehand... I did three. In six months......They cut me off 30 seconds into my speech bro, you don't do that.
It's live television and you can plan for it. I know it is what it is.
The match might have gone long, whatever it is, but I just think it could have been a little classier prepared than it was.

'I'll just say that's a mild understatement. Come on, man. They wouldn't do that to Taker right? They're not gonna do that to Cena, Cena's gone around the world doing his retirement thing. Mine was just a World Heavyweight Championship match. And to be honest, I'm gonna catch hell for this…I don't care, I've had World Heavyweight matches all the time, that doesn't do anything for me - it just felt a little eh to me.'

Let's just say I'm pissed off at the way that I went out, I put so much into it and I don't feel the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I accomplished… I just think it could have been a little classier prepared than it was. That's a mild understatement."

"I got 2 weeks before I can really spill the beans and make my feelings known about the entire rundown from the inception of the idea to its delivery. It was a little less than to be desired."

I can understand him being peeved about the cut off but that was not the fault of WWE…..besides that, he should be happy they gave him a send off, it's 2025, no save wrestling fan wants to see Oldberg "wrestle".

Yeah not sure how Bill Goldberg thought they could stretch the feud out (he said he wanted to start it in January) it could have been built better of course but no way they could have kept it alive that long considering he wouldn't have wrestled any extra matches

Hopefully he doesn't try again because I don't want to see Bill Goldberg on my TV anymore

This has been one of those lost treasures people have wanted to see for years. Cool to see Kurt talk about it, hopefully it leads to the footage getting released.

Man, this is just sad.

Buff Bagwell has had his right leg amputated above the knee.

He had a serious accident in 2020 where his entire knee area caved in, they tried multiple surgeries to try and recover it but it was not salvageable so they have to amputate practically his entire leg now.

One of my first wrestling posters was him, back when he was Marcus Alexander Bagwell

That is going way back lol I remember those days.

I hope to meet him someday, that would be awesome.

My favorite of all time is Rowdy Roddy Piper and I got to meet him and get a photo with him. He died 3 years later and I was even more grateful I got to meet him. What an incredibly nice person, took the time to speak to everyone in line when it was their time to meet him, and it was a long line, i waited 3 hours for my turn and there were still loads of people behind me, he could have told people to fuck off but didn't.

I met Adam West (I'm a big Batman fan) that same year and got his autograph, he wasn't very interested in talking to anyone and he had guards there that if anyone even lifted their phone in the distance, they'd walk in front of him and block him. I waited a while in that line though not as long as Piper cuz Adam was basically just signing your shit and bye….i mean I don't hold it against him much cuz he was old and i would probably be irritated as fuck as well but at the same time, Piper appreciated all the people who were fans cuz he'd be nothing without fans but West was like meh, here's your autograph, bye and on to the next person.

Oh wow Piper and Adam West I love both! (I'm a huge Batman fan too Keaton is my guy being an 80s kid but I have a huge soft spot for Adam West too)

I'm in England so we only get the past their prime wrestlers (even that has dried up these days) I met Jake Roberts and Jim Neidhart as well as obscure WWE wrestler Kizarny, Kizarny was good with fans Neidhart rushed out as quick as possible and Jake left before the show ended to avoid fans hah!

I remember Kizarny. I have no idea if he was any good as Sinn Bodhi but some how giving a guy a gimmick that makes it hard for him to talk and hard for the fans to understand him doesn't seem like a great idea. (I wonder if it was one of McMahon's.) Oh well, at least he's undefeated in single matches in the WWE.

Keaton is the GOAT Batman.

I used to watch reruns of the '66 series in the morning before school so West is second best to me.

Damn, I would love to meet Jake, one of the best to ever do it, that man truly understood ring psychology, his promos are intense. Was never a fan of Neidhart but I liked Bret Hart. Kizarny haha wow I have not heard that name in forever but i remember him.

Yeah probably McMahon hah he was Sinn when I saw him, he was doing a Marilyn Manson gimmick at the time this was pre WWE

My Dad loves the 66 series so I got to see a lot of it as a kid it's so good but yeah Keaton is undisputed

Jake clearly didn't want to hang around a tiny town in England a second longer than he had to when I saw him but to be fair to him he put in a good effort for the match considering his age (not to mention drugs probably)

I was excited to see Neidhart because Bret is my all time favourite but he stood on the apron in a tag match only tagging in for the finish

Yeah I imagine if Jake were there today he might be a little more open to staying longer and appreciating the fans lol

I knew his life was nuts as I heard the story about his sister and that his dad was fucked up but I didn't know all the details about his dad and his stepmother until I saw the Dark Side of the Ring episodes on him….wow. How he's still alive after all that plus diving deep in to drugs, he's lucky as shit. I believe he has COPD now but I mean considering all the death he's escaped for decades….he can probably still consider himself "lucky".

.Yeah I remember hearing about his addictions thinking "what a screw up" but having seen beyond the mat and now dark side of the ring I understand lol

He does have COPD yeah last I heard though he said it wasn't going to kill him, his body is REALLY making him pay for his past he's had a brain tumour and a heart procedure as well but as you say somehow that's still pretty lucky all things considered! he looks so happy now as well reunited with his wife and everything!

Sucks to hear about Ozzy such an amazing talent

Here he is at Wrestlemania 2 according to Dynamite Kid's daughter Ozzy called Vince Mcmahon to ask to manage the British Bulldogs

Wow, if you told me almost 40 years ago the last person in that group to die would be Ozzy I would have called you nuts.

Guess if we're going to put up a video with a match celebrating a legend why not one with another legend?

Yeah, I know it's the whole show but that cage match is about the only thing I remember from the original SNME.

Hogan was the greatest Hero in all of wrestling and he had the greatest Heal turn of all time in wrestling. He built the show made the show something to see and kept the show going. Hogan was a great entertainer.

i wonder if going to be thank you hogan or booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo during the tribute video on SmackDown tomorrow.

Imo he ruined his overall legacy, he was the right person at the right time in the 80s, and did great in making the NWO credible.

I was never a huge fan, but after the apology he made and further nonsense I really had no interest.

Racist comments, people are not perfect. Low points in life can cause all sorts of behavior, but that apology was shit.

I definitely don't hate the guy. It's always sad to see a childhood figure pass away, but I am glad he had a full life.

This is where I'm at it.The racist stuff did not come out.I think I'd be a lot.Feel sorry for brook Though

Amazing to think Hogan worked with the 2 giants that actually had a lasting legacy in wrestling. (Although I always like to point out if they wrestled at the same time Paul Wight would have been a much bigger star than Andre.)
i feel for some reason paul wight never got the push in WWE , also the beatdown brutus received in the match turned him into the disciple later on.

There was a rumor years ago (I think I've mentioned this) that he basically got punished for making HHH look bad on SNL. Assuming that this is true it would have derailed him for years and put a limit to the heights he could have reached.

I've never heard this, what happened?

Well this all rumor so let me just state that. Anyway it goes something like this, before Wrestlemania 2000 Rock hosted SNL because he was such a breakout star he was going to go to Hollywood to make movies. On that episode all 4 people that were in the main event showed up, that would be HHH, Big Show, Rock, and Mick Foley. Supposedly people in the WWF at the time largely thought it was a great opportunity to make HHH the next WWF star to break into movies. The problem is out of the 4 of them Big Show stole the show and HHH was clearly in 4th place as far as the audience was concerned. (It should have been no surprise Show would do well given he had actually been in a few movies so he actually had more experience than pretty much everybody else from the WWF) So this pretty much derailed any immediate plans of HHH following the Rock's footsteps. (He tried but he clearly never had what was needed to make that move) Anyway the gist of the fall-out of that episode of SNL is that HHH was pissed and wanted to get back at someone. Pretty much the Rock was already leaving for Hollywood and everybody in the WWF loved Mick so he couldn't do anything to either of them. So instead HHH used his political clout to have have Show buried. This eventually led to Show getting disgruntled which ended up with the weight gain which the WWF used as an excuse to send him down to OVW which screwed over his career for years and definitely put a cap on how high he'd reach. Admittedly his huge charisma over came it all but they really screwed with Show a lot over the years. (I'm honestly surprised his career recovered given all of that.)

I think when someone dies people tend to be more willing to overlook the things they had previously held against them. So if I had to guess I'd probably say it will be a more positive reception.

Oh wow thanks, I'd never heard that before..... sounds so silly but then again.... wrestling so it's plausible
