Not true, Ragnarok had that first gameplay trailer way before Horizon Forbidden West was released, for instance. Wolverine is releasing in fall 2026 (as per the latest leaks), so it's not weird for it to be shown now. I agree that Intergalactic is weird, but that's not what the rumor is saying.

If it mentioned Wolverine & Intergalatic, why would it have not mentioned Saros? That's more of a known quantity at this point than Wolverine I'd argue, in terms of we know for sure when it's coming out, we have some interviews on the concept of the game, etc.

Logan riding around on a chopper is already a huge step to being a win ala Days Gone. I can't imagine much really taking place inside a huge city like Spider-man did. Maybe a logging town around a forest, probably a military installation, and my personal guess of seeing the Professor X Mansion. How they connect...*shrug*

It's time to put something, anything, out there for people to get excited for beyond a GTA release. They really need some solid titles to push sales beyond what they've been. Hopefully it's good.

You're just looking for patterns on things where they are not. "Oh, but that was three years ago!" is not a good argument, as opposed to the fact that this is something that they have already done before. You know what else they have done before as well? General September broadcasts, from every year since 2019, and before that with the pre-TGS press conferences as well.
The leak was only about Wolverine, the last part of the article was pure speculation.
As for the documents, why do you think Venom was canned, then? Precisely because you thought of it as a 2025 game BECAUSE of the hack documents. But what you're missing is the fact that they have already internally moved the project for a 2027 release (not saying that it's 100% still going, but we wouldn't have seen it yet, anyway).

I share your sentiment completely, and the spirit of your post I deeply empathize with.

Now.....hate to be the nerd guy here, but Jean Grey is definitely a great deal more powerful than Logan. Now, smarter, eh, depends on who's writing her honestly; sometimes she's written as brilliant, and sometimes she's written as a moron. More resourceful? Definitely not, unless you count deus ex machina like the Phoenix allowing her to rebuild the entire universe, but that's just more dumb comic writing. No, I'd say Logan is definitely more resourceful, typically speaking, so I'm curious to see if they portray him as a dumb oaf that she has to help along constantly.

I'm not optimistic, but I really wanna be wrong. I just played through the original X Men Origins Wolverine game again, and though it's still great, I can see the issues more now than when I was younger. We deserve a truly great Wolverine game, and I'd argue we've never actually gotten that. I don't think Insomniac will be the one to give it to us, but I want to be wrong.

I'm no negative nancy. Combat has hints of Arkham + Ryse Son of Rome. Spiderman never shows blood, Wolverine healing means they can crank the blood and gore to atleast 8. Dismemberment and epic Uncharted set pieces with boss battles. I'm very optimistic. And game might be Zone centric rather than open Open world.

All bets are off if the narration is woke though. They have got to learn something from Stellar Blade and Concord.

If the characters does feel like non sexy aged people than the story needs to fucking SLAP.

Unless those old leaked videos change a lot for final release, they looked terrible.

The gameplay was Wolverine zipping around a city wall hopping and climbing buildings with his claws like Spiderman without claws. And the melee fights looked similar to Spiderman too. Only difference was he used claws and blood everywhere.
