Well thats certainly a take right here.This whole woke movement in the video game industry may be a big factor on why game prices are inflated. Their Cry Corners and emotional safe spaces means longer development time.
I personally do not care for the most part how woke you want to be. Once it starts infecting my favorite past time is when I start to care. Is it not a coincidence that Game Quality became much worse when matched with DEI/ME too?
Game quality, and the quality of most goods and services in general, are falling because of:
1. Consistent outsourcing
2. Lack of training
3. Priorities in loot boxes/surprise mechanics/shareholders over making a fun, engaging product that runs well.
Game prices, when adjusted for inflation, are cheaper than they have been in the past. The reason why games feel more expensive is because at a macroeconomic scale, everything has far outpaced wage growth, pressuring disposable income.
