That dislike ratio ouch

The second we saw the MC swap, it was obvious who was actually making this game, and it's not the SP that made GoT.

I don't blame GamingBolt for anything, though. They are just covering the game, it's their jobs, but I do hope this game sizzles and fails. It's not just one art director who will be evil at that company.

Today's reminder that Google disabled YouTube dislikes visibility because wokes complained that people were disliking woke media trailers

Yeah it really needs to be brought back to discourage the push for bad ideas and bad products. Not exactly sure how the extension to bring it back works completely but it seems accurate enough.

It will take a while but everything will, eventually, change. Wokeism propelled in 2008 and it took them more than a decade and some very unexpected events to cement their changes at an institutional level. They still have no clue how much western youth changed :messenger_beaming:

Bethesda posted this then deleted it after it got a ton of angry responses.

Hey guys, it's only one shithead, right?

Those of you who think these are just random lone developers and aren't reflective of these entire companies need to wake the hell up. This is every western developer and this is 100% why Sucker Punch hasn't made a statement. It's also why instead of Bethesda addressing their developer, who has been going off about Charlie Kirk for almost a week now, they posted this instead. This is who they are, through and through.

I'm just sad, man. People all over social media are mad, are mean, are angry. It feels like too much to handle. I think I'm gonna delete my Facebook and just play some (lighthearted) games with my kid. He beat his first level in Mario World last night and was so proud of himself.

Yo! Youre kid is what matters. The Internet isnt real. Go have some fun and make memories with them!

❤️

I really hope we get a gaming-centric DEI Detected type group documenting all game developers who celebrated his death. I don't wanna see random tweets of Bluesky or go to some massive database of doxing, just a list of games made by literal psychopaths, and no the "BuT TheY ARen'T AlL BaD" doesn't cut it, those who aren't bad must speak up then otherwise fuck'em too.

I genuinely am just gonna skip all their games, I'm selective with games these days anyway, most are shit, would be nice to know which to ignore.

Like sure people could argue about DEI Detected, agree or disagree. I just don't see how anyone can disagree with wanting knowledge about the murder loving and assassination pro game developers.

I think the only game I'd bitch out on is GTA6, it's literally the only thing that will be decent in the next 3-5 years anyway.

As others have pointed out, this isn't just a bad apple here and there. There is an institutional ideological rot that has set in in almost every major western industry and corporation, and that includes gaming.

Sucker Punch can get rid of an employee if it publicly threatens reputational and monetary damage, but they'll just hire the next blue-haired cab off the rank and pretend to fool everyone into thinking the issue has been dealt with, when it runs much deeper than that.

I'm honestly curious. Do you have references to those SP devs?
Missed this before, but I'll see if I can't find the Tweets that have links to the Bluesky posts and likes. I know for a fact one of the 4 was Kelly Snyder (They/she rainbow flag in bio) a Senior Producer of Sucker Punch, which all but shows the rot is top to bottom.

Bethesda too? What a shame.

Isn't it funny, the studio that no longer understands the importance of dialogue within their games also doesn't understand the importance of dialogue in real life either.

Funny how there's a clear correlation here. The studios with staff who are nasty enough to revel in an innocent man's death publicly, are all incapable of making good games anymore.

Haven't said they've fired anyone, just looking into it.

Ofc, they would have to fire like 3/4 of their working force

And wow... I didnt knew it were so many. The worse thing is that they will later hijack a known IP and develop a game with a story where their side is the all mighty good and the other are the evil force that sacrifice they troops and are willing to kill or let people die just for power.

Really sad

It really is that way. I honestly can not remember a time I looked forward to any triple A game, not one.

I was always buying games on day one from big studios, gaming was (And still is my main hobby), but my god, I just can't stomach the shit coming out these days.

The last big game I looked forward to was Stellar Blade, really. Ended up buying it on pc too.

It's weirdly nice to see people finally waking up to why I've been raving on these boards like a lunatic on occasion about gaming. It's been going on for years

They're just unimaginative shit half the time, and now we know why with these professors at the helm..

Imagine losing your job and most likely getting black listed from other developer studios all because you couldn't just not celebrate a man being murdered in front of everyone.

My favorite part is that she/he? Is going to massively regret this in a week when all her little "supporters" don't give a shit anymore 😂

The revisionist history is going to be historic with all these extreme leftists. The apologies are going to flood the streets

But I can guarantee that someone is going to track every move that bitch makes and make it widely known so whoever tries to virtue signal and hire her regrets it

I see Colin Moriarity did NOT can Chris Ray Gun for his vile tweet - CRG tried the I'm a comedian it was just a joke giving plausible deniability

What I mean is that politicians must start doing something to solve the problem. The first thing is to recognize that there is a problem. As a shock therapy, the grave dancers must face harsh consequences, but that's not enough. The twitter mob actions are only useful to let the other side know that they will face serious opposition. Media, social platforms and political parties need to agree on a set of rules for everyone to adhere.
Well to this point, the idea has been rule of (primarily American) law, no?

That's "all means necessary" and it will take a lot of resources and a massive pedagogic work, which the global Right has been avoiding for two decades.

To clarify, I didn't take your "all means necessary" as an admission to fascistic intent. That said, I think the idea that the "global Right" has been "avoiding" doing this pitched work that it could totally do if only they just acted, as if they had or have the political or moral authority to do so is... well. Not an accurate or good frame. It sounds very much like the left in 2016 onwards. "Trump and Brexit and etcetera could've been avoided if only the left grew some balls!"

The right have been asleep at the wheel for a long time. In general the right are extremely passive, they go to church every Sunday and are told God loves everyone and will save everyone and they believe in the fundamental goodness of humanity because we were created in his image etc.

Well now that the left are openly and publicly calling for everyone on the right to be killed and assassinating innocent men in public for the crime of being on the right, maybe the right will finally wake up. We'll see I guess

It's sounds like your saying politicians need to get involved in punishing people for their speech.

10000%

More to your point.

Their brazenness to post shit like this is indicative that they are in a working environment that has their back and shares their values- IE condones it.

Just because a minority will be stupid enough to say what some will, doesn't mean the plurality doesn't think it too.

Overall, Angry_Megalodon Angry_Megalodon sentiment didn't read that way to me.

I think there's level of retaliation that's being sought as this a fever pitch moment. And it needs to be resolved and a rubicon was just crossed.

He's saying there needs to be a "come to Buddha/Jesus/Baby Spice Moment" from this and measures need to agreed on.

We need to have hard rules for this kind of stuff so (sadly only) both sides can espouse, can debate, can vy for leadership in this country.

The last years political violence, regardless of affiliation, is untenable in having a functioning LIBERAL DEMOCRACY; to have functional democratic republic.

The way we operate, unlike anywhere else on earth, is a special and important part of what makes us messy, beautiful and revered/reviled.

I was watching their live stream today actually and someone super chatted and confronted Colin on some of the things Chris had said before about Bezos/Elon, Luigi Mangione etc.

Colin just said he's not here to police anyone and that's his friend and he's not going to screw him over -

Cynical take: I'm guessing Colin saw the numbers didn't get hit as hard so it's worth it to keep Chris around. The Patreon comment section was on fire with a large swathe of people saying they'd up their membership to keep Chris around, despite how they felt.

Personally, I respect Colin for being loyal to his friend. I respect him for being able to hold a friendship in that standing with someone who has posted some nasty shit that flys directly in the face of his co host (Dustin) beliefs.

I said somewhere back about this that I think Chris is funny, has OK takes on games and is fine overall. I won't unsubscribe or lambast them too hard over him staying, but to watch his discussion on the episode last week, read his tweets and know where h stands politically…he just seems/sounds like a hypocrite and shallow person.

I guess but we need to be careful what we ask for cause this is how we get shit like the patriot act.

I've seen the posts coming in trying to point out things on the other side when things like this are largely caused by leftist news, education, etc.

There is no both sides this time. People like me haven't changed. The party lines have.

Watched the sacred symbols segment and yeah felt to me like Colin felt the best for his business was to "not be a hypocrite" (firing someone over a tweet) than to fire someone that celebrates and wants more conservative Christians to die

Edit: unaware of Dustins beliefs (I dropped off as a patron and barely follow anymore as 4 hour podcasts just aren't my thing) but if he's a conservative (socially) and/or Christian I'd look for an out and then bail the second I found other employment

Funny cuz ES4 is racist as shit against Khajit lmao

Crossing my fingers Yotei is a commercial failure. Despite the fact it looks like DLC for the first game, I got a feeling a ton of twisted sister developers worked on the project. The developer "fired " probably represents a good portion of the team. Their lack of a public statement after their employees actions prove that to me.
